in this video i am going to show you the different formulas we use in our field side in slab and in beam,column for over-lapping steel bars....in this we have two zone in beam 1 is compression zone and 1 is tensile zone....in both of the zone we use different formula.....so good luck......

Sir Har koi apni taraf say 40D and 50D and 60D laga raha Hai Lap length keh liyeh. Per koi nahin batata keh yeh 40d and 50d kahan say derive huwa.

bro u need to chk whtr tht str. is in compression or in tension and what is the grade of concrete and steel used so thr r different parameters which leads to design of Ld. if the beam simply supported continues and c/c of column 7.5m with connected with 10 column...and I worked out in some span100% lap falling ..how to avoid those area..but you are saying if beam rebar 4 at top then provide 2 lap at one span and 2 lap at another span it mean only 50%lap.....but my condition it's not work out...its falling 100%lap...whats alternate solution...?

sir suppose if column contains 4_8# bars and 4-16# bars..then how we decide lapping length for two diameters..?
BuRHaN MEGATROn 8# will connect to 8# bars only.. so for this size of bar use formula for 8# and for 16# use their formula.. we dnt have to connet two different size bar wd each other.. lapping will be done on same size of bars only... So no need to confused between which dia should be use in formula..

Sir, I got your point, if you are going to lap different dia of Bars - Mean 20mm > 16mm (Reducing dia of bar when columns going up), you have to consider lap length only minimum Dia of Bar, which is 16mm dia. Its define in code IS 456, & BS 8110.
