    I bought one of these in the summer of 2019 and PJ had fixed the tag issue. I also ordered mine with the scissor lift which is well worth the extra $65 as it takes a lot of stress off the hinges in back which seem to be prone to breaking and are not covered under warrantee. Other options I included were hydraulic disk brakes and steps on the front of the trailer. The steps were cheap but well made, the brakes expensive but worth it to me. And you can get the trailer rated for up to $16,000 lbs if you ask. With the proper amount of tongue weight the axles won't be overloaded. The Goodride tires that came on this trailer separated with only 9,000 miles on them. The gravity down option really extends my battery life. Finally, put your boards under the tail of the trailer, they work better that way and reduce the tilt of the trailer making it easier to walk on.

    Nice video good stuff now I’m thinking about one of these trailers. It’s time to upgrade and I currently have a 16 food equipment trailer and I want something that can haul a full-size 4 door pickup this looks perfect

    Have you ever had an issue with the tires scrubbing on the deck? I put 4 pallets of sod on mine and the tires were scrubbing

    Would you recommend one of these for a 14700lb Track loader? With 2 8k axles? Thinking about one of these.

    If you bought another tilt deck trailer would you buy another deck over or the style that goes between the axle for a lower tilt angle?

    • @Nicks_Garage541

      I would get a gooseneck and ya love the deck over way easier to load cars on and materials

  • @pauln4417

    The box on mine sits almost touching the jack and it really sucks to get your leg in to lower the drop on the jack. Only 2 years old and not abused and the weld on the pivot broke so the deck wanted to lower to one side. Great for hauling tractor or such but not for hauling a load on the front and equipment on the back.

    • @Nicks_Garage541
      @Nicks_Garage541  4 роки тому

      Ya the back half definitely dosnt like a load back there

      Mine too. And they are a PITA to repair. I ended up trading my first one in for a replacement with the optional scissor lift. That should be standard. The same for better hinges.

    That strap is going to pull out under heavy stress. There’s no way there was 3-4 complete revolutions of that strap cylinder.

    Do you need the 2nd battery for the winch?
    Or was that just easier?

    • @Nicks_Garage541
      @Nicks_Garage541  5 років тому +3

      If u keep the one battery charged but I was getting into scenarios where I was winching for long times and draining the one battery that's why I put the second battery. Thanks for the question hope I could help

    • @TERRORoftheLORD
      @TERRORoftheLORD 5 років тому

      @@Nicks_Garage541 looking at buying the same trailer. I was thinking of running a dedicated line from the truck battery. This would keep the trailer battery charged and you could also keep the truck running during heavy winching. Probably cost the same as a second battery but, ultimately last longer. Unless you have 2 trucks!

    • @JK-yd5ro

      Yes you should because of the amp draw on the battery for the winch it will melt the charger wires on the battery

      @@TERRORoftheLORD you should don't use the battery on the trailer

    Add a charge wire to your truck connector, battery will charge as long as truck is running

      I’m glad someone else realized that advantage for a quick charge as the wire for charging Dc to Dc does not have to carry that much amperage the length of the truck. I haven’t put a meter on it to see what amp draw at that distance it would have to determine wire size but not hard to do.
