As a Doors fan since age 14... Im now 43...I am seriously impressed by this. Spanish Caravan is a song that is tricky to even think about performing. Bravo to the band for not just covering it, but expanding on it very tastefully. I love it. Amazing.
Sometimes, the Cover Version of a Sweet Song, Somehow matches, if not Straight out, Supersedes the original Song, in this case, Sung by the late and great Singer/ Songwriter, Jim Morrison of SuperStar Rock Band, The Swinging Sixties Superior Super- Stars, The Doors
Every the doors fan: “I’m not very impressed by doors covers, but this one is the best in the universe”. Actually we love most of the covers. Because we appreciate the music taste of the cover guy. It has nothing to do with the quality of the interpretation. But I have to say: this one is really the best
This song takes me, to a different place and time. I see sailors, and merchants, loading their goods. And beautiful women, the wives and girlfriends, and female sailors, that've joined this mysterious crew!
The great thing about this is it's played better than Robbie but you get to hear what he was shooting for. Amazing. I miss Jim in the vocal but you can't get everything. Luv and Peace.
Every note ever laid down by the doors is in my record collection and I’ve heard some pretty horrible covers…this isn’t one of them. You’ve taken something beautiful and made it beautiful in your own way, which is what a real artist does. I like the addition of the strings and the change in the percussion a lot. 👍
This is what Robby Krieger of the Doors said about this version. “I love it! It’s tough to cover Doors songs because the originals are so iconic. But Ian wasn’t afraid to stick to the original format, and did a great job of capturing the feel. There's a new flamenco/rock movement happening now in Europe - maybe Ian will lead the way!" - Robby Krieger, guitarist, The Doors
Sounds like the cover has a soft influence of Pink Floyd with „Set the controls for the heart of the sun“ and the Beatles with „A Day in the Life“. Probs!!

I couldn’t agree more… this version is better than the original!
The Doors forever!
Morrison was a poet who knew no times, he went from one place to another as if he were floating.
“He knew no times”...hmmm...somebody should write a song called that
