The Doors channel is the official UA-cam home of classic Doors live performances, The Doors albums, and contemporary performances and content honoring The Doors featuring John Densmore and Robby Krieger.
With an intoxicating, genre-blending sound, provocative and uncompromising songs, and the mesmerizing power of singer Jim Morrison’s poetry and presence, The Doors had a transformative impact not only on popular music but on popular culture.
The Doors’ arrival on the rock scene in 1967 marked not only the start of a string of hit singles and albums that would become classics, but also of something much bigger - a new and deeper relationship between creators and audience. Refusing to be mere entertainers, the Los Angeles quartet relentlessly challenged, confronted and inspired their fans, leaping headfirst into the heart of darkness while other bands warbled about peace and love. Though they’ve had scores of imitators, there’s never been another band quite like them.
Imagine seeing the Doors live
It is exciting just imagining that
@@edwardcarmody3336 Lucky for you :)
Omg that would be amazing! I’ve had dreams of Jim Morrison that is always cool when that happens.
Saw them Long Beach Arena , 1970.
I have lol
Definitely one of the best doors songs that shows off Robby's diverse skill. He might not be the flashiest rock guitarist, but he's certainly one of the best.
never been a huge doors fan but i play guitar and i wish i could play like robbie krieger a true original.
Facts
The best thing that did not use the pen
Extremely underrated..and an excellent song writer, not too many people knew that he wrote..' Light my fire..'
He can really play a mean guitar. He never ever used a pick either. The Doors will be around 100 years from now.
If I had a time machine this would be one of my top 5 concerts to go to
I saw Paul Simon and Bob Dylan at the Hollywood Bowl in June of 1999. Perfect night. Sixth row seats. Val Kilmer just to my left. Jack Nicholson behind me. Seeing the Doors there in '68 would have been a dream for sure.
According to certain "government" whistleblowers, time travel is absolutely real and has been secretly used for decades. Research The Montauk Project, Andrew Basiago and Project Pegasus. Interestingly, Andrew Basiago claims to have met Jim Morrison and told him of his involvement in secret projects when he was a young boy.
1.The Doors
2. Janis Joplin
3. Jimi Hendrix
4. Chuck Berry
5. Ray Charles
5 concert to go. 5 doors Hollywood bowl, 4 Beatles cavern club, 3, elvis on Las Vegas, 2 doors isle of wight, 1,elvis Madison Square garden
1 doors, 2 Beatles, 3 nirvana, 4 elvis, 5 pink Floyd
John Densmore is such an underrated drummer
Some call John the second voice of jim
Influenced almost all punk rock drummers, goth, post punk…
Totally.
How can someone say that they are overrated, it’s been more than 50 years since Jim died and the people of new generation sill love and praise them. The doors are timeless, one of the greatest rock band In the history of rock music
Thanks
this song is so underrated.
By who?
It’s definitely under played which may cause it to be somewhat underrated...
It's the 36th most underrated song by UA-cam Underraters.
I don't know, Syd. I've been listening to it since I was 11, so like 52 years. Don't grow up, ever.
Underrating is so overrated.
Robbies Flamenco guitar training really flies off the screen live
His flamenco training helps too 😁
@@humboldtharry4248 Dammit knew I was spelling a bird! but you know what I meant or you wouldnt have commented..all good Humbolt, dont get old...lol
Fixed it
Fun fact: this song is actually a classical piece called "Asturias"
From 0:23 to 0:53
Fun fact asturias is the original song
And Asturias is in the north of Spain while Andalucia is bigger and in the south. Anyway flamenco is more typical in the south of Spain!
Also Magalena.
I love these little snippets of knowledge...thank you very much x
This is one of my favorite concerts of The Doors.
You know jim was tripping balls right
@@coolaisiankid Who doesn’t
The Doors were Incredible !!!!!
Robbie Krieger great guitarist. The whole band is top notch. ✌🎹 / \ 🎸 🎤
This song takes me back to a time when The Vietnam “conflict” both divided my family and brought it together. One older brother a “hippie” and one a Marine in country fighting some of the bloodiest battles of Vietnam. I chose to write about it as a pre-journalism major. One brother was angry all the time. Music, like the Doors, we all enjoyed! ✌️❤️
Great indeed and so were the 60's and that's why it's called...Psychedelic Rock. Nothing like this will ever be recorded again.
Ray Manzarek was a beast on those keys, and bass
Even trippin' on acid he still jammed.
Split brain man
Eye opening and mind blowing footage.
Greatest band ever.
A sheer masterpiece. The Doors road the wave of infinite musical ether, just channeling everything. Such beautiful souls to have come together. Truly a one of a kind band, one of the greats that cannot be replicated
I just listened to 4 people playing this and even all couldn't sound as good as 1 Robby. Love this song.
I saw the Doors live at my Brand New high school, our brand new John F Kennedy Football stadium , just before Jim Morrison got busted at his last gig for a while in new haven Connecticut back in 1968 ..This video is exciting to find ! A Live Recording that I have not seen or heard before ...and this is a fantastic recording of Spanish Caravan ,,,one of my favorites !
It's coming out in theaters next month.
Just got my ticket.
One night showing..
The level of musical skill with these 20 year olds is unreal. Way advanced and tapped in a vein of creativity I wish so badly I could have just a bit more of for my own musical journey. A full biography and detailed accounts of how each developed their own music and how it came to be, would be super amazing. The details of how they got so creative, drugs and all. Please 🙏🙏 Let us have some 🤣🤘😎
Just pure talent these guys had! Anyone who got the chance to see them live is so lucky! Wish I was one of those people.
This song, is the doors!!!!!
Unforgettable! An Eternal Masterpiece! 🚪🚪🚪🚪
Spanish song, ASTURIAS
One of my favorite songs ever! Ever ever. Feel like a pirate!
The West is Amber Best, get there and she’ll do the rest 🤓
@@effdonahue6595 Awwww that is the sweetest thing ever! Thank you💥💯💫 My last name really is Best by the way😁
ABFF- Amber Best Friend Foreva 😎
Sorry, that was cheesy
ASTURIAS-ALBENIZ.
Posiblemente la mejor versión en vivo de esta canción.
Gorgeous song
For 1968, this audio is so clear
Buddy on the keyboard is excellent, love that sound
I have this concert on video tape, haven’t watched it for 30 years, no more vcr in the house. But it was 7/5/68, I do remember that. I just turned 2, couldn’t get tickets 🥰
This One would be good for my funeral
When Jim was clear
The performance was flawless.
Muy buena la mezcla de flamenco y psicodelia. Ya no hay gente tan atrevida y creativa, ni público para estas obras de arte. Una lástima.
Wow this song is amazing and more in live for me the doors are the best!!!!
Brilliant and beautiful 🌹🌹
Классная группа! Что-то завораживающее в их музыке и в самом Джиме.
What a coincidence I was just listening to this on my CD and this comes up
They are watching u
Their music sounds something so mystical ,different from everything.
OMG if only I could time travel....the unsung heros of the sixties. The first real dark band that didn't conform
"Take me to PORTUGAL, take me to Spain" 🇵🇹 🇪🇦
He is really a genius, so is Ray! 🎙🎹🤘🏾
The Doors were the prototype of what rock stars would become
Morrison WAS The Rock Star. The epitome of the front man...
Son simplemente increíbles 🤍
The magic still alive
And still forever
The doors
mr.feliciano thank you 🙏🏽 back in the elementary years in ‘08-‘09 you made our music class great
I saw today that a new book came out about Jim Morrison it’s called Love her madly. It’s about his first love Mary and it’s written by a friend of his! I guess Mary was an important part of his life and he wrote many songs of her like the end when they broke up and possibly this song as well.
She was a big part for sure. They broke up in his second year in UCLA. He formed the doors the following year.
Most of the early love songs are about her. She has been hassled by journo's for decades and has always kept the story to herself. With a short interview a few years back being the only time.
@@twomindz79 that sounds like what I’ve read about her that Oliver stone and various people have tried to interview her. I read one short interview that she did that she always planned to go back to Jim she just wanted more time to find herself. She kept in touch with him but wasn’t into his music. She still wonders now till this day what it would be like if she did go back to him it’s sad.
Is she still alive ??
@@monicacouto1827
I believe she is .
Beautiful
Jimmy casa vez que te veo te sigo amando.❤
🎶tis ever so near😏💞
!!! RESPECT !!!
Why does this looks so good
Jim's madness never bothered me. Hell I watched Jack listen to Jim. Jack lived
One of the best....
Mil gracias Jim siempre presente eternamente
Wow,had never heard this version.
I´m from Portugal,Jim Morrison took me to America...for 20 years; well,he helped.
Fact: The Doors never made nothing but great albums - and that includes Soft Parade which seems to be the one fewest fans dig.
No, _American Prayer_ is probably everyone's least favorite right after _Other Voices_ and _Full Circle._
@@BigBri550 I dont think most people consider Other Voices and Full Circle actual doors albums. Its kinda like saying squeeze is the worst velvet underground album.
@@whatishappeing Kind of inverted: _Other Voices_ and _Full Circle_ were The Doors missing one member; _Squeeze_ was the Velvet Underground missing all but one member. When does a band stop being that band? Lynyrd Skynyrd is another example of this conundrum. There are many others.
took me a bit to get into that one. definitely a transitional album. After a number of listens I dug it. I like Easy ride on a late summer evening...
@@deskryptic 👍
Qué canción tan más perfecta
CAncion Española.. ASTURIAS
absolutely insane how can they put me in the 60s even though i was born in the 90s
(lucky child. See how 'they' work).
Carry me, caravan, take me away
Take me to Portugal, take me to Spain
Andalucia with fields full of grain
I have to see you again and again
Take me, Spanish caravan
Yes, I know you can
Trade winds find Galleons lost in the sea
I know where treasure is waiting for me
Silver and gold in the mountains of Spain
I have to see you again and again
Take me, Spanish caravan
Yes, I know you can
So you wrote it, I always thought it was you 🤡
As a Spaniard I approve.
Que musica magnifica.
Grande Jim❤️❤️❤️🇮🇹💯👍
Jim e stato in Andalusia, amava molto granada. Sono orgoglioso che anche lui è stato al castello di Chambord. Vi sono stato anni fa.
The Doors, visceral!!
Most underrated song right here!!!
Wow Amazing

Robbie Krieger at 1'53 "I can let myself go for a while"
That bass man, really brings it all together.😂😂
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ufff ❤️
1967 ❤
This is amazing ❤ 💕
That Voice.
That Voice.....
Always unmistakeable.
Whenever you hear it you know in a micro
Second who it is that is performing....
You cant mistake it.
And his pitch is always
perfect ....
The Man can really sing...
To bad he ruined it
early on fom all that
Screaming and yelling and the whiskey cigs
and Hashish he constantly smoked...
It will leave your throat
Inflamed raw and horse....
Had he taken proprr care it would not have gone downhill so fast and would have remained a musical insturment......
Instead of what he turned it into??????
A Weapon......
Wow! What a great performance of such a great song!!! What a voice and style!! And all real!!!!
Flamenco and classical guitar with electric guitar 😮😮😮
the real is not flamenco sir
💖💖
Questa è la prova che se non vivi più, l'anima rimane per sempre...grazie al cielo 🙏
