- I found a way to improve the rumble of our 2021 Dodge Challenger GT without spending $1400 on a full exhaust system with a rear resonator or muffler delete. Also did 15% window tint.

Do whatever make you happy. Apply, delete….spend, don’t spend. It looks nice and clean. You’re not trying to make it something it’s not.
If you want good sound with little to no cabin drone remove rear and mid muffler and replace the mids with Different Trend Flow 2 mufflers. Sounds phenomenal.

Get sum race bullets or sum to get the high pitches out. Sizes matter and I heard the longer ones do more then the short ones
Just did the rear muffler delete and tinted my 2019 GT this past week. Mine is the Destroyer Grey with the black wheels--the tint really makes the car stand out! I did the 15 on all windows except the windshield-which I have 5 on the brow. The muffler delete makes the car sound so much better too, and I love that drone you hear when you're in the car! I agree with you-those exhaust systems are a waste of money when you do have a V6-you get basically the same sound as just doing the muffler delete at a far more decent price!

Dude, I have a 2017 SXT, Go Mango, with black rear spoiler. Got a hold of 2022 scat pak rims and tires for 1600. Had 50 miles on them. Dude want wider tires. Making a clone scat pak, just need the side stripes, and the hood stripes and scat pak emblems, but change the 6.4 to 3.6. Have a rear window louver, like 70's. Been hesitant of removing the resonators, but after watching your video, you made my decision. Thanks

I had the mids AND rears cut off,and replaced mids with borla pro xs’s on my 2021 challenger gt v6,and it sounds pretty good 👍🏻

Everything still kosher here this many months later? We got out of a far-larger Charger back when the gas prices went kerfloohey and we love this new rendition, but we DO MISS the rumble on the front and when we get on it. Appreciate your video and eager to have some of it back. Thanks again!

over charge on the muffler made it up in the tint, here where om at they charge 80 per window and back glass 10 for corner window,

I have 44s on my GT Charger. Sounds great IMHO. Had super 10s on challenger but wasn't a huge fan of the drone.

I have a v6 2019 challenger and I'd like to make it louder.
I'll research more but im alittle nervous about passing emissions over here in Phoenix.

I purchased a pair of MRT VERSION 1 CAT BACK EXHAUST COUPLED WITH A SINGLE FLOWMASTER ORIGINAL 40 AND MY 2019 CHARGER BLACKTOP SOUNDS LIKE A BEAST FOR $900
Got my mid mufflers deleted today and am pretty happy with it. Sounds a heck of a lot better at startup and idle. And also at low to mid rpm’s. But it does unfortunately get a bit tinny at high rpm’s. But that was expected.
I think that is why I was told to just do rears. 😉
@@Tiki71 ah, from what I was told the rears have resonators and would cause drone, but idk if that’s correct. I know I would hate to have that drone. My work van has it and it gives me headaches lol.
@@hamavery6476 ik this is late but i got a 2022 gt and did a rear muffler delete and put flowmaster 10s, no drone, no tinny sound, and a nice deep rumble jus like this video, it also pops in sport mode first 2 gear shifts at like 50% pedal pressure
Hey great video.
I have a 2020 SXT and I am running Flowmaster 40 series delta flows for the mid mufflers. I added Solo J pipes at the rear to replace the rear resonators.
Overall the car sounds good at Idle and at certain lower RPM's. It does not sound like a V8 and I knew it would not before I did the mod.
I have adjusted the Solo J pipes to where the overall sound is just ok overall. (My Opinion)
I get a little annoyed at the tone/resonance at the 1500 to 1800 rpm range while cruising on the open road. Activating Sport mode helps that because it puts the car at higher rpm range.
The other thing I don't like is the Raspiness sound at the 3000 rpm shift point.
I would not do an exaust mod again without riding in a vehicle that had the mod performed.
We all hear things different.

To avoid the drone put Flowmaster 10’s in the middle and rear delete. Excellent sound. Will never sound like a V8 tho
Dropping my rears in a week going to see how that is and I do plan on replacing the mids later on

You should do the ghost cam tune. Makes it sound like it's got a big cam in it when it idles

That's what I'm worried about, I wanted to make it sound a little more "fun" but I don't want to void anything.
This is great, I was looking for a way to make the v6 sound a little louder! I just got a last call GT awd as a daily driver for snowy weather. (i'm really looking forward to driving in the snow). I will have to give this a try to add a little umph to the sound!
Have you had to drive it in the snow yet? I’m looking into getting a GT awd for a daily driver as well and am wondering how it does.
We haven't had any snow yet in my area. So not yet. But I've seen a few videos on UA-cam about it if you search. Apparently it handles extremely well in the snow
Did you do anything with the exhaust? I've got a last call GT aswell but just RWD. Trying to decide what to do with my exhaust
Just make sure you've got decent snow tires or even all seasons and you'll be fine. I've got a 2023 GT. I live in Canada and drove mine all winter with the stock all seasons without issue and it handled pretty well. Mines only RWD. I've got a brand new set of snow tires that only have about 1500kms on them but they're on factory 18s from my Dodge Charger. My Challenger has 20in wheels but I can't use the 18s because the rims they're on won't fit the front because of the brembo brake calipers. Was thinking about getting spacers or something so I could use the 18s with the snow tires but my car did fine on the 20s with the all seasons tires
I got my mid mufflers straight piped and left the rear but I hate it...sounds like a Honda and I swear it's a tiny bit faster at the jump but falls short after 2nd gear..got a diablotuner to fix the problem but waiting on super 44s to fix the sound. Heard if you ghost tune the car and lock your cams it sounds beefy but very unhealthy for the car

Great !looking car. I hope you kept the original mufflers. I test drove one of these with a muffler delete and the drone was unbearable.

It was literally the first mod I did to it. Later I put a K&N on.

Yes. It's much deeper now. I also did a K&N cold air intake & ported throttle body, so she's deeper and faster. 🤙

How was the cabin drone?
Good sound through lower gears. Nice in upper. Take it out of sport mode and it's not as loud.

Did this to my challenger v6 2013 and it sounded great when idle but go down the road and it was so loud and thought dash was going to vibrate out of car.Way to loud in car!!!Vibration terrible!!

The only way to make it sound like a V8 is to swap in a hemi or LS engine.

That idle rumble is nice, but a Pentastar does not sound even remotely like a V8.
