One of the most ubiquitous arcade games in the early 90s for me. I’d step into any arcade/movie theater and instantly know they had it with the telltale sound effects.
DRAGON BREED looks so retrospectively awesome, i still want to look for the Commodore 64 and Amiga versions of this game 😹😺👍. And you, AL82, are still an retrospectively awesome gamer 😺👍🕹️. You deserve a big retrospective like 👍🕹️ from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮.
Very cool game, I am not sure why the guy bothered to turn up though, that dragon is completely invulnerable to everything that hits it and absolutely smokes everything.
Damn... I remember playing this on amstrad. I let you imagine the differences, no music, commodore 64 style graphics (guess it was a 100% port) much slower obviously a'd such horrendous dificulty
You do have control over how long you take to defeat the boss. And there are also sections where you can climb off the dragon, causing the screen to stop scrolling.
At the end the man is on the ground, crying the lost of his dragon, I wished a happy ending like "neverending story", but this touched my heart .😢
He gave his life for his friend, and the man never forgot that sacrifice. Because that was true friendship, and he was grateful.
The enemies and artstyle of this game looks like a cross between Jim Power and Gynoug/Wings of Wor, pretty cool!

Great graphics.
Amazing Game Experience 👏👏👏
R-Type with dragons, methinks. Well played! 🙂
No wonder I never finished this. It's even harder than I remember.
As the legned goes.

Every time ya hop off of the dragon and onto the ground, the game begins to resemble Contra for the NES, even if unintentionally.
Interesting concept, i've only ever seen something like this in one stage of the arcade version of Joe and Mac/Stone Age/Caveman Ninja.

i used to play this game on acid at 7-11
The yellow/gold dragon is the best all-around weapon for best defense.
Came here just for the stage 1 soundtrack 😊
Good idea riding dragon
This is Cool
It's like Saint Dragon.. but BIGGER 😮
some of the weirdest levitating stuff that isn't spaceships!
1:44 wow ! you can use the dragon tail to hit at enemies
Bel gioco,ho la versione AMIGA
This gave me Shadow of the Beast vibes for some reason
Why is the game called Dragon Breed?
Probably just misunderstood English.
I wonder why in this game you need time if the screen moves on its own and you have no influence on the speed of completing the stage? funny))

I expected better from Irem.
What’s wrong? This game is cool
