That is classic skunk behavior to dig out Yellow Jacket nests and eat the larvae. Lots of venison and pork around. Can’t wait to see you harvest some. Thanks!

David West it could very well be a skunk, but I’m suspecting it’s an armadillo. Hopefully we’ll have some wild meat in the freezer soon.

Like raccoons, skunks ferret out yellow jacket nests in the night, as well as catch and eat the insects with their tails during the day. Badgers, wolverines and weasels also dig yellow jacket nests out of the ground and eat the insects. Cool yote encounter good luck after some MEAT!!! Catch and cook one of those rasklels👍

My wife’s uncle is letting me borrow a hog trap, hopefully we’ll have some in the freezer soon.

Looks like you have good spot there John! That was pretty cool seeing the deer and the coyote in the same video. Definitely not something you see very often.

I really enjoyed this video. Makes me want to go hunting. LOL. Not, but believe it or not I can remember sitting in my dads shoulders while he was hunting. I think it was for squirrel. 🤣

Aw yeah good stuff brother. I mounted a light on my bow a few years ago when I was looking for hogs in my area I was going to mount a stand just close enough to cast a red light on them. Problem was no hogs. Like that hat BTW. LOL

We always had the problem with ground wasps until Armadillos moved in and cleaned them all out.

Rawhide Adventures after I recorded the video I got to thinking it was probably an armadillo.

............That's great footage from your game camera..........lots of wildlife close to home. If you can trap some of those pigs, they are delicious to eat. I like the ribs best.......Good luck this hunting season........ATB to you and family.................

Just a tip you ought to have that 308 hunter barrel threaded I did mine and put a nice muzzle brake on it so much more enjoyable to shoot louder yes but the recoil is reduced a lot

Hey John....... I know you’re probably really busy, but I just wanted to know how everything went with the “new addition”

Everything turned out well, but it was pretty scary. She got stuck at the shoulders on the way out, and turned purple. Thankfully she started breathing soon as they freed her.
The doctor was shocked to see there were two true knots in the umbilical cord. After seeing the knots she told us “she is a miracle baby. You don’t understand how rare this is, she truly is a miracle baby. Her middle name should be miracle“. Everything happened so quick it didn’t really hit me. Either knot could’ve tightened during the pregnancy, and ended her life.
I had to come home last night, and with the Covid restrictions I’m not allowed back in to visit. Wife, and daughter should be home tomorrow.

@@JohnCapps - Whew! Thank God everyone is ok. I’ve been thinking about y’all ever since you told me about it. I know she will be the most protected “sister” ever! I bet the boys are excited about her arrival. Congratulations John! 👍🏻
