Oh my god! I was trying to figure this out for hours. I had 265 frames for a pixel animation project and I did NOT want to manually adjust each and everyone of them for just 'half a second. You are a life saver. Muchas gracias!!
What if the images are not numbered in sequence, like first image is 1 but second image is 4? do we need to number them sequenceally ? if so how do we do that
If you have images that are not in exact order, with gaps, you can rename them using the tool I demonstrate in this video: ua-cam.com/video/UXRYzZqXLMU/v-deo.html - that's free, and it's a multi-rename tool that will help you re-number the files so they are in sequence.
You can try to see if you have gaps in the filenames or the filename structure isn't supported - clearly indicating a number at the end, with correct padding so that the software knows they are in a sequence and can determine what the next one is.
It actually doesn't work for me, whenever I tick the image equence box it doesn't add the rest of the images. (All images are in the same folder as they should be)
Thanks for showing us all this tip. If you are going to do this more then once or twice with that many clips. I would advise getting a separate logo maker program or gif maker program. BTW - it was explained very well. Thanks again.
Yes, you can change how many images per frame in an image sequence. Since you can't apply speed controls to an image sequence the same way you do on a video clip, you have to use the properties panel to change this. Maybe this discussion helps: forum.shotcut.org/t/how-to-control-the-speed-of-an-image-sequence/10455
Problem I'm having is controlling the speed or video FPS... I do not see a way to adjust it. Messing with the "Duration" settings in the properties just "crops" the video and cuts everything off past the duration you specify.
@@Graphicious I had to change the framerate that was set for the project itself. A little unintuitive. That's really my main problem with Shotcut. Other editors doing simple things is much easier to do and figure out. With Shotcut, it seems you have to dig into online resources to do the simplest things.
That depends on the type of animation you want. You can design it frame by frame in a graphics program (such as Xara, Adobe Animate) or animate it in some 3D software like Blender, Cinema 4D, etc.
@@Graphicious so there is no web site to do such a thing just by giving your logo .... it my be hard but good idea for web developer haha .... thanks for the reply
There are lots of them out there but you never know what options you have. You can try Adobe Spark: www.adobe.com/express/create/logo/animated Others are available but they usually work based on templates, already-built animations.
hi! my picture is portrait, but when i opened the file the preview is automatically landscape. it stays landscape when i export it, too. is there any way i can make the resolution portrait, specifically 1125x2000? thanks
You have to change the project's resolution if you want to do that. If you look in the first seconds of the video, the 'New project' window shows. That's where you change it before you start.
@@eviuze6259 Was 3+ months ago so I can't remember for sure but I think this might have been because my files had the wrong name to them. Something like "name.ext.#" as opposed to the proper "name_#.ext". My computer was basically reading the file types as 0001-etc instead .exr for the image sequence. At some point while fixing the names I converted them to .pngs and that works now

Okay but is there a way to export a video as a sequence of images. I want to create a custom green screen and I will literally animate frame by frame if I have too but I can't even apparently find how to do that
hello, unfortunately I have tried everything in this video but it is not working. I have a 6 minute video that i split into about 23000+ images sequence to upscale in gigapixel. After upscaling them I am tried importing them back into shotcut and merging them back into a video, it is not working. My image sequence is a .jpg type not a .png type, I don't know if that is the reason or if it is because my image sequence is too long..
It could be too long. Try a shorter sequence first, see if that works. JPG should work too, not just PNG. Also, make sure the filenames are in order and there are no gaps, because if you have gaps, it will not be able to figure out which file is next.
For Shotcut? I don't know if there is such a place, most people probably build themselves. What are you looking for, like titles, lower thirds, intros, that kind of thing?

After I clicked on "Image sequence", I pressed the play bar and it looked a little bit choppy. How do I change the framerate?
I think you have to change the framerate for the entire project/sequence/timeline
@@Graphicious How exactly do you do that?
I do everything like in video, but the first picture is stuck just in 00:00:00:01 and timeline just contains just that one pic

Not from Shotcut. Only from AfterEffects

Yeah some people say you can export from Shotcut with alpha but I tried several ways and I couldn't pull it off. Maybe in future versions,
