You helped me out the other day with the 360 deg skull rotation, so thought I would drop by and leave you a comment on your channel............. thanks mate 😉 😉 😉
Hi, I am a regular viewer of your channel and watched every video you published on your channel so far. You have a great teaching skill thus your videos are highly informative and easy to understand. Following your channel since long time ago especially when I first came to know about shotcut. However, I know about shotcut more or less but don't have any knowledge about glaxnimate. But I realized, it has great potential in making 2d effects and simple animation. Thus, I humbly request you to make some more tutorial on glaxnimate and show us the power of OPEN SOURCE. Great and precise video once again. I probably won't have a use for this technique in my woodworking videos, but I always learn something from yours. I use Shotcut exclusively. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the nice comment. I'd like to make tutorials on a more regular basis. Maybe one or two per week. Sadly I have very little time for this. Sometimes, one tutorial can take up to a month to create.
@@musicalboxbitspieces i understand but i beg you to continue creating at least 2 videos per week , i want to master shotcut and i found your explanation and tutorial extremely overwhelming
@@dennisa5914 Well, as you probably know, the layout in Glaxnimate is highly configurable. Every panel can be move from one area to the other. And each area can hold multiple panels. Explaining in the tutorial how to show each panel would take too much time. In this one I gave two examples. That should be enough for you to figure out how to show/hide the other panels. Look in the View menu. View > Toolbars and View > Views.
I'll be honest I was never really interested in Glaxnimate. I thought it was going to be like Flash animation, but I recently got into learning Inkscape. Now I see that Glaxnimate is pretty much like Inkscape (Bezier curves, fill and stroke, etc) but with an added feature of animation. Now my mind is open to a new world of possibilities with Glaxnimate (logo animation, stylized subtitles etc)
I love Glaxnimate. I use it almost each time I make a video for this channel. It take only a few seconds to create outline boxes. I also use it on other videos when I need complex shaped masks.
Thank you very much for making this confusing addon easy on us! The timeline is too confusing I only managed to slide something from outside the video in, I've wanted to know how to make something appear and disappear since forever. But how about images? Say I have an image that I want to pop up then move a bit then disappear (do I play with the opacity for every keyframe?)

Can the trim path feature be used to make text appear onscreen similarly? I've done this manually in one of my videos and it's terribly time-consuming.
Hi. The only way I know to use a trim path to make it look like the text appear gradually (like if it was hand written) is to trace your text with the Draw Bezier tool and then apply a Trim Path to the resulting path. But yes, this could be very time consuming depending on the length of your line of text. Maybe someone came up with easier and faster ways to do it. If so, hopefully they will share it here in this discussion.
