- Timeshare scam warning alert for anyone thinking of buying a timeshare at Outdoor Adventures. Do not take my word for it. Look them up on BBB or anywhere else. Please do your due diligence so you don't end up in the boat as me.
Thank you for this! I "won" a 21 day stay and a gift card at a RV show. Had no idea what this campground was all about. Figured I'd go check it out and thought it was nice of them to offer a tour around the place. I did think it odd to have to put down a refundable $20 reservation fee. Thank you very much for letting me know what to expect! I guess I'll just go and get my money back, my gift card, and be on my way!
I went to one of this meetings. But after going to the restroom and searching it up i quickly found out it was a debt pit and an endless contract. The salesman was so exited and hyped, i kept saying yeah its nice, its really good 😌 but when we sat down and said no he was red mad😜 after saying no to 4 salesman i got my gift and walked out.
They hate people who show up and consider it fair game. One sales rep referred to people who show up as 'greedy' because they want something for free

Thank you so much for posting this video. I signed up for a Blackstone give-away they were offering through Facebook and they called and said I won and that all I had to do was come pick it up. After giving them all my information she then went on a rant about how there is a quick presentation to sit through first. I wouldn't call 3 hrs. quick.

Talked em down after 4 no"s to 5000.00 4 years ago. 1 lifetime all 11 parks. We love it. locked in a 420 a year maintenance fee. Now you can reserve a certain spot!

We got a "21 days of free camping" voucher for this company with the purchase of our RV from a Dealer. Sounds like just another sleazy ass time share company with RV lipstick on.. NO THANK YOU. We'll stick to the state parks and private campgrounds for a fraction of the cost and non of the predatory business practices.
Same thing happened to us. If anyone starts a lawsuit let us know we will join in a heartbeat...

Susan Maldonado Michigans Attorney General is doing an investigation right now. I called them today and they told me to go to Michigans.gov/ag and file a complaint. Then they'll reach out to us.

Thank you for this video. We were given an ad for free camping at outdoor adventures & one for walden woods. Not going to try these now
We love our membership. We've been members for 9 years. You do have to camp a lot to make it worthwhile though. But then I also canoe a lot and get free rentals at the rifle river resort for the river. A lot of the other amenities are also no cost as they are included in the membership. When I think of last year alone if I went anywhere that cost say $30 a night (which most places cost more) we would have spent $570. In canoe rentals across the river at whites we would have spent $70. In boats rentals at other campsites charging by the hour we would have spent $50. Putt Putt golf is also free saving us $30 add that up and it was $720 that we would have spent. Over the years we have also rented cabins and at $30 - $65 a night for those you could never ever find cabins that cheap especially with all the amenities that comes with it anywhere else. It would take a long time to make up for the initial cost plus maintenance fees but we are getting pretty close. We've also found that if we go to Mount Pleasant its way cheaper staying there than going to hotels. Same with going to Frankenmuth or Saganing Eagle Casino. Like I said though at the beginning its something that you would have to use a lot.

A company has every right to make a sale day offer. Heck, newborn photographers at the hospital have a normal pricing and a same day pricing. Just say no if you don’t want the offer
Thank you for this. I was thinking of signing but now I don't think it will work for me. I wanted to add if you used this for 10 years at $8k lifetime and say max $500 a year. That would equal about $1300 a year you really paid. You would have to camp around 80 nights a year to get anything around $16 a night. Chances are you are going to be paying closer to pay closer to $40 a night because most people don't camp that much in Michigan. Now, if you do end up with this lifetime over 10 years, it would be less but I would think unless you had it for 20 or more, it isn't worth the hassle. You can get great campsites for under $30 with hookups in michigan.
I just got a call.... telling me I won a sweepstakes with them at the TC mall. Told me to come to Mt. Pleasant Thursday for a 90 minute tour. Is this how they Lure people in?

This is pretty old content. Now you cannot just drive in for first come first pick. You now have to reserve a picked campsite. Some other things might be true but I don't plan trips I go on a win and I'd like a spot now. Any how good luck people it's good for some but others maybe not.
I have a membership and we love it and never a had any of these issues.

We got the 250 gift cards, they're all 25 or 50 bucks each for stores that we would never ever use. Also a 3 day 2 night stay at any of their locations which was stupid because everything would have practically been free with our membership anyway. I regret signing up

Don't spread lies over something you didnt do your research on. Outdoor Adventures is pretty straight forward and a great company to be a member with. They do have some downfalls but in the long run its a great investment. Sorry you did not read into what you were signing up for.
Kevin shut up there is scam after scam reviews this company should be ashamed of itself. Not even part of the BBB should have been the first flag, salespeople that dart around contract questions telling you to read it when you get home...second red flag. Sounds like a big pile of shit and karams a bitch so they will get theirs. Someone should really contact the attorney general

I was scammed by this campground years ago before it became Outdoor Adventures. Took the tour with promises of how they were updating and adding to the campground. Was told there were all kinds of activities, Saturday night pizza, weekend breakfast get-togethers, etc. We bought it! Left message after message trying to make reservations. No return calls. So we drove there and were finally able to get in. The place was a muddy, crowded mess. Filthy bathrooms and no activities. What a dump. We were never able to get back in after that. We reported them to the better business bureau, but we’re still on the hook for the contract. Buyer beware!
