I just started CPAP therapy last week. This is the mask they gave me. It is hard to sleep on my side with it. The mask fits my face well, my machine is APAP so sometimes I need to adjust the face mask on the front when the air pressure increases. My only issue is that I have bruises on my forehead in the morning from the cross part that is on my forehead.
Omg! Thank you soooo much for this review even though it's 2019 now I've learned alot about my mask. I've had it since 2012 and was inconsistant with it back then but now I'm about 4 weeks into my new machine and have to use it because they sent me a nasal mask that I don't like. I had no idea that you could take the mask apart the way you demonstrated! Thanks again! I do think they need to send me a fresh new mask though.
Juan, great review!! You pointed out the pros and cons of this one. I am really looking for a nasal mask to replace the full face. There seems to be a large number of different types. Do you have any experience with those that you can share? Love the way you demonstrated the way to use and how it fits to the face. Keep up the good work and look forward to more reviews!
Thanks! I'm very glad you found the review helpful. As far as nasal masks go, though I have not personally tried it, the Respironics Dreamwear has been blowing the competition out of the water. It comes with 4 different sizes of nasal cushions and it has the tubing connected to the forehead rather than the nose area which makes the mask a top choice if you like to sleep on your side or move around while sleeping. If you want to try it with no risk, you can get it from cpap.com or the cpapshop.com and return it before 30 days for your money back.
The biggest problem I have with this mask is removing the hose from swivel. Unlike most masks like the f20,to remove you hose without taking off your mask, all you do is press two tabs and it comes right and just a gentle push and it clicks right in. With this mask, after having to pull on it real hard it is going to break.
**ATTENTION ResMed DESIGNERS: HOPE ResMed has “IMPROVED” THEIR HARNESS STRAP(S)!!! Unfortunately, the straps on ResMed’s Mirage FX and Quatro Air are GARBAGE. With 12+ years CPAP usage, these harness straps need replacing after just six months. Why? Because (1) the loop-side fabric sheds to non-adherence AND (2) the straps lose their modest elasticity. Plus the two Velcro strips are too damn short - sometimes pulls apart when turning over. I’m fed-up and finally seeking alternative head gear. Have you read this ResMed?

Do need to wash the face mask on your first use.....From brand new?
Couldn’t hurt, I actually got this mask today & just wiped it down with some odorless baby wipes
