Wow this is really the end of an era! I grew up listening to the loop! Is always been one of my favorite station. Chicago is NOT Chicago without the loop! But I guess we live in a different era and times are changing, I never thought the loop was going to leave us, is a Chicago iconic rock and roll station. And now what do we have?! Nothing!! Mancow! I've been listening to you since the beginning. And when you came to the loop! You made this station complete. I hope somehow you comeback, And with the loop! But that's wishful thinking I guess! Thanks for the memories! I will miss all of you dearly:-( the loop thank you for the great memories you brought to all of us every day:-(
I was disappointed turning on the radio this afternoon to hear a completely different station. We already lost 104.3 and I barely hear Stevie Nicks and others on the radio. 100.7 Hard Rock is really fuzzy, 103.9 Hard Rock is fuzzy, and all we have left is 97.1 the Drive. Well, and 94.7 WLS.
Very true! It's hard to find a real good station now, well like you said! We unlist have the drive and wls. Also q101. But it'll never be the same again! Nothing quite compares like loosing the loop :-(

I’m not from Chicago and I’ve never lived there but I’ve loved it every time I’ve been. The loop was a legendary enough station that even I, being from Boston, was well aware of it. Its demise is just depressing as all hell. Just like wccc in Hartford and wbcn in Boston, it feels like the death of a beloved institution. The state of rock music in the world is so abysmal, man. It hurts my heart.

It is truly a shame what has happened to Rock Radio in Chicago. ONE oldies rock station left, XRT doesn't count as rock. Mancows still out there, thank god, just look for him....
There's always a lot of criticism to go around about Mancow but the Morning Madhouse got me through high school and was something I looked forward to each day. I had to get to class but always wanted to ditch school and head over to where Turd was going to be that day. I was too young or distracted to really notice political leanings or other controversial stuff, I just liked the morning zoo routine and it was funny and familiar.
The sad thing about The Loop is they had a lot of concert and fest promos to do and pissed it away for generic quality HD radio, that costs more then a large screen HD TV.#@WTF?! That's irresponsible.
May l also add it's mid June of 2018. Where is Mancow? Where did he go? Yeah, yeah, he got on The Loop and National TV, roughed up some liberal and conservative collars, people listening in the morning communite, beating the steering wheel, mad at his opinions, but there is a happy, warm, caring side to Mancow. My hope he returns to Terrestrial Radio, not XM/Sirus! Many of us can't afford XM/Sirus. Maybe a big 50,000 Watt, Major AM Station will hire him. What's wrong with AM? It's missing talent like Mancow!
