A pretty underrated track. I hope Capcom makes Powered Up 2, or MM11.
The idea of Powered Up was to remake the entire series. But, since it was exclusive to PSP, it didn't sell well.
Well your wish was half granted-
It being exclusive to the PSP was a part of the problem, yes.
But I think the biggest problem was how it was released _so early_ in the PSP's lifespan that it flew over everyones heads.

The depressing tone of the original song is supposed to represent mega man’s sadness but also anger. You were forced to fight your former friends who were hijacked from Dr. Light and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily. At this point in the game you can now confront the one responsible. That’s how it fits.
