I only got high on these schrooms once. The spirits of animals and trees began to commune with me. When walked into my motor home the textured ceiling was covered with millions of little worms hanging down all with smiley faces and waving their tiny little right arms at me in a gesture of welcome. A funny very happy little hallucination which I will likely never forget. I felt very connect to all life surrounding me...

This makes way more sense to me than anything I’ve ever learned about Christmas in my life
It really does fit almost perfectly with most of christmas myth. The shaman supposedly hung the mushrooms to dry on the spruce trees they were found near, which explains decorating christmas trees. They would dress in red and white furs to imitate the mushroom, which explains the coloration and "jolly" personality of the Santa Claus character. When delivering these mushrooms to other members of the community during the winter, it was often easier to enter through the chimney vent rather than the door.
In my opinion, all of that goes far beyond coincidence

Santa is the representation of the shaman, the reindeer's and how they lived. Everything you know about Christmas can be traced back to the Shaman and how they lived (the christmas tree, the gifts under the tree, the "Santa" (well shaman) giving gifts from via the roof, etc. etc.). Raindeers love eating these and can smell piss that contains amanita muscaria in it. So everything people know about the "modern way of doing Christmas" has a lot of things to learn from Siberia and the Nordic.

Lol this is awesome, interestly, i used to go shrooming a lot back when i lived in florida, when we would go out in the woods looking for psylicibin mushrooms, often times when we would find an area with a lot of shroomies there would be a couple wild deer chillin out, munchin on some caps. Eventually, we caught on and if we saw a deer we would watch it from a distance and it would ussually lead us to some shrooms.
Santa Claus is based upon Siberian shamans. They picked the fly agaric (which grows near pine trees) and delivered it to homes in nearby villages in winter. The mushrooms were dried in socks or sacks near fire. If the homes were snowed in the shaman entered through the roof. Another note is the tradition of the shaman to dress in the colors of the mushrooms (if you google: shaman woman dressed in red and white you will see a picture (in images) of an oriental shaman woman wearing a red and white polka dot dress featuring two fly agaric also commonly known as aminita muscaria). And so it is obvious that the tradition of dress is not limited to Siberia.
Older Christmas cards and tree ornaments featured mushrooms more prominently. Elves are also associated with the mushrooms.

No Lmfao. If u have ever been in a vehicle while tripping ur ass off u would understand that at some points when going over hills and around turns etcetera u feel floaty. Henceforth if u where on a sleigh in a snowy field surrounded by pine trees with caribou as ur mode of transport while hallucinating on 🍄 that ur caribou dug up as a snack u also ate then pine trees start looking more like 🎄 with 🎁 i.e. 🍄 below them Merry fucking Christmas. Here is a talk by James Arthur, the mushroom man. Some have theorized that Santa's shape and color was designed from that of Fly Ascaria aka Amanita muscaria, the favorite food of said reindeer and their herdsman.

Amanita Mushrooms do grow this far north. They grow in boreal and temporal regions, and eastern Siberia is considered boreal. Plus there is much recorded about indigenous tribes of Siberia being involved with this Mushroom. It is thought by some to have originated in Siberia and spread south from there.

Odin or Woden, ancient Norse god, had an 8-legged horse, grey, named Sleipnir. He flew through the sky on the horse, and gave presents to people. Sleipnir was also a "psychopomp", ie one who could travel between the lands of the living and the dead, and who accompanied the dead to the underworld (no Hell in Scandinavian myths). So, "8 legs - 8 reindeer", it looks like it was adapted (along w/the Shamans) to Santa Claus. Fascinating.

Muscimol and Ibotenic acid are the two psychoactive chemicals in fly algaric mushrooms and both are potent GABA-A agonists like Ambien. they do cause hallucinations but are not classified as psychedelic hallucinogens, but deliriant hallucinogens and there is a huge difference. Could be! I do not worship Jan, nor do I buy into various "New Age" conspiracy theories. But that book (which I hope you will read) was not written by Jan. And it is a very scholarly piece. Guilt by association is a terrible thinking error.
