I get that it was surprising and can be funny, but ppl made such a big deal out of it and like can't deal with it, like why?😂 But people who were expecting a different thing or even tried to say there could be a better way was the worse for me. What else there is? Them becoming Jesus and walking over water, opening a path between oceans, walking under it when that's impossible for way too many reasons? I personally believe those ppl were more funny tbh.

I really liked the use of barricades. The world was ending all around them. The island was divided and constantly fighting among themselves. However for that moment due to the immediate threat they were able to put aside their differences and work together. Over come the hoard of titans and what divided them for at least that one fight. Giving hope (false hope really) that everything would be okay. That they could reconcile. That they could face what was coming. Only to be snapped back to reality by Floch and Onyankopon. Regardless. the remix of barricades was amazing.

    • @Ult_Trickster
      @Ult_Trickster 2 роки тому +8

Yeah I had that feeling too. I get the argument about not fitting because "they're killing their comrades," but to me the situation didn't really center around that. None of the scenes shown Surma and the others worried about having to kill their own, it was them scared of dying. Fighting the titans united the Jeagarists and the other scouts, just like old times. The ONLY time when they actually looked at who they were killing was Pixis, and when that happened, Barricades played the piano instrumental during the flashbacks, before picking up again
If you compare this to Levi and the titans in S4 E14, he sees their faces and hesitates to kill Varis, and has a sad look on his face. Hence why the music felt a lot more "sentimental" and "triumphant but at what cost"

I am convinced that the only reason Part 3 exists is because Mappa was expecting to finished the series by the end of Part 2, but couldn't reach it. So thank goodness they aren't rushing it.

    • @jrlombardi5251

Part 2 was intentionally stretched to make time, the most obvious cases being episode 18 and episode 24, but present in the part in general. They were trying to make an entire part like they were asked for, without having to rush themselves to do part 3, which is something they wouldn't have been able to do in time. Kodansha also realised their mistake and that they needed to do better with this, so them allowing the specials to be divided and take the time to have the best possible animation really paid off, better later than never. They may have even regretted deciding to final season four the last season for hype lol.

Man, I’m commenting to boost engagement but I really really disagree with almost all of the big complaints you listed. I’m actually kinda shocked how consistently I was disagreeing. I unfortunately don’t have time to dive into why I like all those things, but the one I will mention is the freezeframe sequence in Two Brothers. I think that sequence is amazing and is one of the huge reasons I think that episode is one of the best in the entire show. Even supposing it looked a bit awkward (which it actually didn’t at all to me), the directorial decisions behind it are genius. The aftermath of Eren’s head being taken off wouldn’t have been nearly as tense or memorable without that sequence being there, as far as I’m concerned. It is the backbone of that moment and of that episode.

The scene where time freezes after Eren and Zeke touch is one of my favourite scenes in this part of the season. It gave me such a great feeling of suspense as the camera slowly zoomed in on Zeke holding Eren's head, it was so well done. I don't see how else they could've handled it to keep that dreadful suspense intact. I'll give you episode 84, that shit was weird. I heard the lead animator primarily worked on Steins Gate or something which kinda explains it, but idk. I still would've preferred to see their faces during the Marco conversation.

I feel like it's worth mentioning the differences between the anime and manga by the moving of the 123 flashback to right before 130.
In the manga, it's a lot clearer earlier that Mikasa is re-evaluating her relationship with Eren, and the idealized version of him she held in her head, which makes her scene with Louise at her deathbed make more sense. She wonders if there was anything that could have changed the horrific circumstances in front of her, as the rumbling starts and Eren becomes a literal monster in front of her, making the dramatic terror of it all incredibly powerful.
In the anime though, that's already happened. At this point, she has witnessed(the beginning of)the rumbling, been forced to kill former comrades(Jaegerists), and has learned that the wall titans have already decimated Marley. So this time, though the circumstances aren't as immediately dramatic as before, it still makes sense that she's trying to rationalize the bleak situation at that moment, especially since she was just asked by Annie if she can kill Eren.
It also feels very fitting that the flashback, in which Mikasa wonders if she and everyone else could have stopped Eren/chose a different path, is placed right before Eren's, "Was this all set in stone/what I wanted/when did this all start" monologue as he experiences his memories as the founding titan in the anime.
They both overall serve the same purpose quite effectively, I just think it's interesting to note the differences even if they both work in the story about the same.

i also think it makes a lot more sense for her to reflect on the entire relationship she has with him when they’re on the ship, finally having a chance to sit back and reflect on everything that just happened and what they’re about to do. as opposed to right in the middle of the rumbling as its pure chaos and death all around her

I'm sure someone else has already said this, but with that single conversation at least, I can't help but wonder if some of the odd framing and weird shots during the one sit-down conversation were to keep the animation needed lower, since it looked like it was doing a lot to cut down on bits that needed animating (consistently dropping mouths from the frame, picking shots where nobody has to be animated, etc). Just a thought! Great video!

Always love your videos and respect your opinions. I do agree with some of your points, such as episode 9 feeling off thanks to the storyboarding/ direction and episode 8 somehow making that chapter even worse (on a side note, MAPPA's adaptation of the ending does slightly concern me since they did NOTHING to improve on chapter 126 , which along with 138 and 139, is one of the few AOT chapters I take major issue with.)
But overall this season felt like a big step up from Part 1 in terms of production, and I give them so much credit for taking their time with the material rather than rushing it to make a quick buck (looking at you Promised Neverland). Stuff like the frozen time segment and Barricades really worked for me, especially Barricades since it felt like a nice change of pace/ throwback to past seasons without losing the tragedy of the situation.
If anything I take more issue with how they decided to split this last stretch of the story up, with this part beginning and ending in the middle of two different arcs. The amount of recaps in the first half also bothered me since Part 1 had almost zero retreading/filler.

One thing I noticed about the new soundtrack is they often put “watered down” versions in the show. Compared to the Spotify album the show version have like half the instruments and missing Melodies, or not in the show at all! It makes me really sad cuz “Successor” and “guilty hero” are such amazing songs and they are no where present enough to be heard. I agree with your praises. Some of the issues you have I find interesting. Being aware of context but still not finding appreciation or being able to accept the “why” or what’s happening or the intent always makes me curious of how ppl think.
So for example. The awkward talk in the woods. Admitting it may be awkwardly shot and made uncomfortable due to the awkward and uncomfortability of all these formerly opposing forces having to Find common ground betweenst each other .
Also my theory with a lot of the more “janky” aspects of the animation is that they do this purposely so that they can take more time when doing the touch ups for re releases . Seems common place these days to debut episodes of a show with the quality not being all there just to be corrected for re releases. Idk if you remember the first handful of episodes of dragon ball super but that was a great example of this practice. Hopefully it doesn’t become the common place strat for these production houses

I hope you don’t see this comment as toxic, but I have to disagree with your opinion on the use of Barricades this season. I just wanna voice why I feel this way!
You’re totally entitled to feel the way you do about it, but me personally, I think the song was perfect in that scene. This is just my opinion, so I want to explain why:
The lyrics used in this scene specifically come from the second verse, which matches the tone and situation perfectly-
“How long has it been since the light shined through in my life?
Lost everything, family, confusion on the way”
This matches the break situation the characters have been in, and everyone has lost countless comrades and loved ones thanks to this war and the masses of people turned into Titans. The situation itself is confusing thanks to Eren’s confusing allegiances and how overwhelmed everyone feels with how many times the scope of this battle in the walls alone has shifted-taking into account Floch and the Jaegarists, Zeke and the Volunteers, the Titans, and Eren himself.
“Someone tries to talk to me
    And signpost the righteous road
    My animal inside
Can now be tamed to go
    Over the wall”
This helps emphasize how much characters like Jean and Armin have grown in this scene. Armin used to be afraid to fight a single Titan in Season 1, and collapsed under pressure, but here, he’s more than willing to put Titans like Commander Pixis out of his misery and fight him off. Jean also helps lead the pack flawlessly here, with no hesitation, compared to Season 1. They’ve grown from their times in the walls and without any walls left thanks to Eren, they’re fighting threats outside it.
It also helps that the song starts with Shadis’s reintroduction to the story by having him come in with a heroic entrance, nobly saving the very recruits that beat him to a bloody pulp earlier, and earning their respect as he charges into battle with them. He’s no longer a bystander here and is fighting for the lives of everyone, proving his teachings right to the soldiers that were once skeptical of him.
They’re all motivated to “get back” the land that was taken from them and “get back” at the enemy. The song isn’t “triumphant” in the sense they’ve already won, it’s “triumphant” in the sense the battle has reached a turning point where everyone is pumped and fueled by adrenaline to fight, and they have hope to make it out if they just keep pushing.
And that makes sense, since the Marleyan forces that invaded are all crippled now, so they’re no longer a concern, Zeke was absorbed by Eren, and Eren himself is leaving. The main threat right now is the Titans, and the characters are all more than equipped to deal with that, and are emotionally mature enough to send them all off without beating themselves up over murdering them, knowing they were once human beings like them.
It’s similar to how the song was used in Season 2, when the battle was still pretty bleak, but it played because Historia gave Ymir renewed resolve to keep fighting, and Hannes has resolve to finally fight himself, even if he knows he’s outmatched. The Scouts weren’t triumphantly winning in that battle either; they just felt a stronger sense of resolve in that moment when Barricades played.
Remember, Hannes still died moments later and everyone literally would’ve died if Eren hadn’t conveniently activated the Coordinate at the last second. It was the most hopeless the series had ever been. It wasn’t “triumphant” back then, either. Barricades is a song meant to motivate people to fight anyway, despite how hopeless and bleak a situation is, and fight for the small chance they have to make it, and keep living.
If it’s still not for you, that’s fine, but I thought it was brilliant, and the perfect place to call back to the first time the song played.

The problem is its way too upbeat. The lyrics that you've made such a big deal out of are barely comprehensible during the scene. It's all the fun and jolly music that really doesn't fit the scene at all. Huge contrast between the dark visuals and the music of that OST

      @komarunaegi7460 2 роки тому +6

@@lasthope3048 Fun and jolly? Upbeat? I feel that’s a bit of an exaggeration, since the theme is more meant to just pump you and the characters up with the adrenaline to keep fighting even in a hopeless situation.
If Lowart didn’t like how Barricades was used in Season 4, it’s hard for me to see how he’d like it in Season 2, when the situation was about as bleak.
This song plays in dark situations where the characters suddenly get a burst of energy to keep fighting with renewed resolve.
It’s “triumphant” in the sense Historia decides to fight and pushes Ymir to fight with her, “triumphant” in the sense Hannes finally works up the resolve to fight himself and make up for his past mistakes with the Smiling Titan, and “triumphant” in the sense Shadis finally has his heroic moment no longer being a bystander saving and gaining the respect of the same newbie soldiers that beat him up in favor of the Jaegarists.
It’s meant to be kickass, almost like a war cry in a desperate situation.

I've been enjoying season 4 but every time I think about it something always feels off. Mappa's adapting it very well but something is preventing me from truly loving it. I think it could be because Mappa likes to experiment with their adaptation with rotoscoping or that scene with Eren being shot, along with them having to pick up from WIT's adaptation, which had a very distinct style. It makes season 4 lack its own personality or style other than it being just darker.
It could also be the music which has to combine both Sawano and Yamamoto's music. And just my own personal gripes like the lines they add on the characters.

    • @nomorepartiezz
      @nomorepartiezz Рік тому

the lines are isayama’s art style. WIT did a very stylized adaptation (partly because early on his art wasnt as good so they had more artistic freedom) while MAPPA decided to basically just do a 1 to 1 adaptation of the manga. knowing that they were going to be negatively compared to WIT whatever they did, it makes sense to play it safe.

No offense I might get hate for this I love mappa but I have some problem is how mappa do the character facial expressions especially Eren has they remove the sadness from his eyes , when he awe from his eyes, and the vulnerability in his eyes.
Sorry for me facial expressions in very important to me too when reading and it perfectly explained by
    Undeadsoulstratcher
I hate when people completely disregard the significance of facial expressions in manga, diluting it to "crumbs" when someone uses it as it a valid component in analyzing the relationship/scene exchange between two characters. They act like visual cues are second to what is being conveyed through speech, but imo that completely defeates the purpose of comics because many times emotions, the character's true feelings can't be portrayed through mere words. They're equally important if not more, and what give manga it's beauty which more often than not, the anime adaptations cannot capture. Sasuke is one of my greatest examples, along with Eren too.
and the placement of chapter 123 and 131 as you know i am going to talk about the manga here and it stuff that already happen in the anime So there no spoiler. in the manga specifically chapter 123 the entire Marley section of the episode is shown when Eren start the rumbling and it flows from Eren asking what am i to you and the whole scot getting drunk to Mikasa seeing the rumbling unfold for the first time, thinking to herself if thing would be different is chose a different answer for eren, That moment was a great representation of mikasa guilt from the rumbling. In the manga mikasa mind goes to eren asking what am i to you when she first see the rumbling and the destruction of the wall titan following eren gignatic founding titan just adds to her mental battle.

I personally disagree with some of your points, but I respect your opinion. It's not the perfect season, but Season 4 Part 2 was so exciting, in both animation and story. The 3D animation looked great overall (I think the only scene that was a little janky for me was the colossal titans swimming), and I loved that they managed to put some 2D shots every so often. Barricades felt like a good choice, mainly because the situation didn't center around killing their comrades, but the Jeagarists and the scouts uniting against a main threat (other than Pixis, no one was shown to feel sad killing the titans)
I really liked the frozen in time scene, it just felt so eerie (I just wished it zoomed out a little on Eren's body and Gabi to make it look clearer though) and it makes sense story-wise since everything happening in the Paths is during that exact moment
Ep 9 yeah I can understand the weird tree shots, but honestly the episode didn't bother me too much because I was focused on the dialogue and they were just sitting so I dunno, I still liked the episode

I just realized you never watched the English version (which is fair as I myself have only watched the whole series in Japanese). I will say Erwin’s suicide charge is better in English and almost everything else is either different but still fitting, or worse. Eren’s VA in English is doing a much better job in this season than in previous seasons as I’ve always felt he was doing a too low a voice for Eren in previous seasons along with being monotone for scenes that should have more emotion, but in this season a lower monotone voice works. That’s all I wanted to say on the English dub, it’s fine, but the sub is better in all but Erwin’s charge.

I agree with all of these and I've got even more complaints. I won't act like WIT did not have its flaws and was the perfect example of a perfect anime, but WIT's AOT was fucking amazing, especially regarding the art. Going beyond the idea of hand-drawn or CG, I noticed WIT's backgrounds and colours and art looked way better and provided a better sense of space because they were meticulous. On the other hand, Mappa's art feels like that bad example of how digital art has affected modern anime. The effects are abused, there's some ugly bloom and fade effects in a lot of scenes instead of the attention to actual details, many character designs felt awkward (like the Annie pie scene), and finally, everything looked static as hell. The moments where everything is still (one frame is shown) are used way too often and for way too long than supposed to be. Characters don't move much and good character acting is almost non-existent (except moments like Grisha's breakdown).

I actually really enjoyed the Annie eating the pie scene. It really added levity to her character with made me care more about her and the absurdity of it fits my favorite style of comedy (the fact that death and destruction renders everything around it absurd, yet it can still add to how sad it is). It also reminded me of how angry Connie got at Eren for misunderstanding why he was laughing at Sasha’s last words, yet here he is laughing at an inappropriate moment due to the absurdity of it. Even though Connie doesn’t realize the similarity between himself and Eren in that instance, I do. Maybe it’s because my reaction to Sasha’s death was a mixture between Eren and Connie’s reactions (I was pretty distraught, but I laughed hysterically at her last words through my tears). For me it served as a way to tie those characters together and made me care for the three of them even more, since at that point I had the least connection to Annie and Connie than the other characters and I was really disliking Eren for his behavior.

    War is shit.
    War is hell.
Child soldiers are a tragedy in themselves.
However, life and the grimmest situations are never completely void of humour, even if deeply dark(not the example here with Annie, but ai said that as to expand on this point).
The whole pie thing is a reminder of all the characters’ involved humanity. Annie lied and massacred innocent people and teenagers, yet she too was a child at the time and as much as she wants to keep her “warrior” composure...she can’t. She’s been out of society for so long...and she is just human after all the atrocities.

This is the part of the series that really pissed me off with the pacing. It started with season 3 part 2 where they took so long to reveal what was in the basement, even after the battle was over, and then had 3 entire episodes explaining Grisha’s backstory. And here, it felt like next to no progress was being made each episode and they were trying to drag everything out to have the characters just talk with each other about things I really don’t care about for 23 minutes. This especially got on my nerves when they got the the shipyard, and when they revealed that Floch’s group had taken it over, I thought to myself, “Ugh, now they’re gonna spend an entire episode fighting these guys, aren’t they? I just want to get back to Eren and see the Rumbling.” And then they spent the rest of the season in that shipyard.

Maybe this is slightly off-topic, but as someone who stopped reading the manga a long time ago, I was too offput by the actual plot to even begin to be bothered by CGI titans or anything like that.
This used to be a very spiritually male story, goal-oriented, pragmatic, where feelings are portrayed as something to master rather than a driving force and a 'source of power'.
Final season, so far, is extremely spiritually female.
It's entirely pathos-driven, and the few parts where its original nature shows up is when the show is portraying Eren in a bad light, and failing. And even Eren in the end is doing it all because he loves his friends so much.
No, actually I don't believe at all that it makes sense for the crew to stop Eren's plan because "It's mean, and think of the children".
It is horrible, but practically the only long term solution.
I especially don't buy into it considering that they're not just willing to put their own people in danger with the prospect of no positive outcome, but that they're willing to physically just kill their own because the lives of those outside of Paradis are more valuable than theirs, I guess.
The depiction of the Jagerists especially is just offensive to everyone's intelligence. Like they aren't objectively justified for wanting Yelena and Onyankopon dead, as if that was just the product of stupidity and sycophancy.
After all they were just trying to genocide them, that's nbd, the actual reason they're ok with the rumbling is because they're, quote: "Xenophobic".
Yes, very nice animations finally, but I don't care about the action since all these people are just stupid and nothing they're doing makes any sense. Not even Kingdom Hearts ever went this far with Trudeauian logic.
"If we stop the Rumbling the entire planet is going to come together to kill us(again)... but please think of Onyankopon's mom, you know the dude who came from across the world just to make us all sterile."
It's Promised Neverland all over again.

How much did you pay attention to the plot. Onyankopon did not know about the plan at, he was there to free his homeland from Marley, he has the same goal as paradis. Even you were paying attention to what he said, you might have heard his speech about how the jaegerists are doing the exact same things that Marley did, not to mention the rumbling being activated vindicates and perpetuates all that hatred as the titans really are coming to kill them all. Also you could see these changes coming in the earlier seasons, the point was to set up a black and white conflict before muddying the morality as the series went on. Both sides thought they were right, when things weren’t that simple, the Marleyians and the rest of the main cast realised this and talked it out, which is what your supposed to do. You’re not supposed to launch a global genocide that causes both sides to drift farther apart, that’s why Eren’s the villain.

@@liamtreat5194 You don't understand international politics if you think there's an alternative to using the rumbling. There's no alternative and that's why it's a stupid plot on a practical level.
For peace to exist, every major power at play must have equal access to equally destructive weapons.
Case in point happening in real time, NATO tries to put supersonic missiles at the Russian border, now the Russians are forced to attack before they're stuck with a knife at their throat, unable to retaliate in the future.
If Paradis has the power to start a rumbling whenever they want, then the rest of the world cannot sit by and let them hold that leverage. On top of that, the island is too small to withstand an attack from the rest of the world combined, titans or not.
Therefore, it's obvious that once Paradis, as a country, gets a weapon like that it has to use it immediately or be annihilated for having it.
There is no alternative for every player involved.
      It's international politics 101.

@@_Ikelos evidently you don’t understand that the rumbling is completely above anything the rest of the world has. Literally the entire combined navies of the ENTIRE world took out about a couple dozen titans before getting completely obliterated. Armin seems to think they could have done that with just the titans from shiganshina.
You ever heard of the concept of the bigger stick? Everyone else has regular sticks and paradis has a colossal titan sized stick. It doesn’t matter what they want to do, they don’t have the technology.
What they do need is dozens of nukes to stop the rumbling. Now the colossal titan may give them inspiration (no way will they be allowed to study it though) however given how much effort the manhattan project took, it will at least be 1-2 decades to make a nuke and even longer to produce the dozens they need.
Now let’s swing back to Armin, who was actually okay with using some of the rumbling titans to level the global alliance forces. He only turned against when he realized the full extent of eren’s plans. It’s explicitly stated that should the rumbling be used in just a limited capacity, the rest of the world will be scared away from paradis for fifty years. Now what I think Armin was planning was to use that time to catch up technologically, and, key bit here, form an international alliance. Now if you paid attention to what onyankopon said when he was about to be executed he pointed out the he was only there to get common allies against Marley and that the rumbling judges the whole world off of the actions of a non representative few. Onyankopon has never demonstrated prejudice against eldians, and I got the impression that only yelena and a few others knew about the euthanasia plan, meaning the rest of the volunteers were looking to paradis as an ally. Hizuru also showed up with both common history and economic interests, the latter in particular makes for solid ground when it comes to alliance building. Additionally all of these people CAME TO THEM, they had all these options for allies without even trying. You can’t tell me it’s impossible for paradis to form a alliance that could at least be big enough to maintain a balance of power in a couple decades.

@@liamtreat5194 "evidently you don’t understand that the rumbling is completely above anything the rest of the world has"
      That is exactly my point.
      Scroll up and read again.
As long as the power is disproportionate, and there's no mutually assured destruction as a deterrent to war, no state will accept that power dynamic, as a matter of survival.
You can't be allies with someone who could destroy you in a second without incurring any losses, you can only be a slave.
The only response to Paradis having the Rumbling at their disposal is an all out offense from the rest of the world, which is exactly what they're building towards when the rumbling destroys all of their fleets.
They're literally already doing it when the Rumbling comes to them.

@@_Ikelos first I’m going to discuss the moral and political implications, then the practical ones.
You say the power dynamics are too skewed, but nuclear and non nuclear countries have been allies and are still allies, because those countries are useful to the nuclear power, and because the nukes aren’t being pointed at the non-nuclear country. We see the same thing with Hizuru, the country provides Paradis with a in to the world stage and a military ally (and provided that they are similar to ww1 era Japan, not an insignificant one), and the seem to be mostly okay with the potential of the rumbling since, I don’t know, THEY BUILT A PLANE TO OBSERVE A TEST RUN OF IT.
Now mind you the rumbling is not a binary ‘stay as walls or flatten the whole world’ choice, Eren can control those titans however he wants. The story is not against a limited use of the rumbling just to take out the global alliance forces in Marley, the heroes supported that, acknowledging that fear of the rumbling is a necessary bargaining chip for Paradis’ future. It was only the wiped out the whole world bit that they took issue with.
As for the morality of the rumbling, the entire world does not hate the eldians unconditionally, that has been mage very clear with stuff I have previously stated, and the fact that someone like Gabi who was able to be deprogrammed despite being a FIRM believer in the ideology, or Falco who never seemed to hate the people of Paradis to begin with. Additionally with the Tybur family we saw that it is possible to be a ‘good’ Eldian, despite how difficult it is (and how under explored the concept is) with the system of hate fully in place as it is.
The big issue with the rumbling is that it proves all that hatred ‘correct and justified’, the island devils really are going to kill us all. The solution is to prove them wrong, since violence only breeds more violence as we saw with how Marley attacked Paradis so Eren attacked them right back (almost like the cycle of revenge is a central them or something). The rumbling mostly effects land and takes a while, plenty of time for people to sail out to the sea and head to attack Paradis. At that point the violence will continue until one side completely exterminates the other. Is that REALLY the best solution here?
Also it’s stated the rumbling wouldn’t fix the world just shrink it. Given the growing divide between jeagarists and non-jeagarists civil war is plenty possible. Also given the fact that facist governments tend to be corrupt as shit, which was a problem with the previous regime, and the fact the rumbling will likely have a salt the earth effect with all those titans and all that steam resulting in limited resources, the new eldian empire could very well self destruct.
Finally with the after effects of stopping the rumbling (manga spoilers if you care) the main characters become heroes as a result (like the tybers). Personally I don’t like this ending since Eren supposedly planned it, and I don’t think global genocide should be justified in any way.

I kinda lost interest in this series after it felt like they just kept pulling silly plot twists out of left field for the sake of having twists, all the while the animation quality just kept degrading as the seasons went on. I mean if you look back at season 1, all of this stuff pales in comparison to it. How has the animation quality gotten continually worse as time has gone on, despite that this series theoretically should have grown in popularity and exposure? Here's my hot take: they should have pulled a Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 and gone with their own original narrative after season 1 instead of waiting for the manga to complete. That way they could have kept the original talent behind season 1 together and maintained much more consistency in quality. The wait for season 2 was not at all worth it IMO and everything has suffered as a result of putting it all on hold.

You've become such a whiner recently. As someone who thinks Transformers Eneron looks more attractive than Attack on Titan ever did or ever will (it did have way worse animation, but the art style is a thousand times better. I love CGI Transformers, too bad Cybertron messed the art style up. Shame on you Gonzo, even if I prefer the 2001 Hellsing), I'm fine with any amount of CGI. Also I can't stand even looking at stills of the first two seasons because the characters shine like they are covered in grease.
