Short, sweet, and spot on directions! Thanks!
Glad to help!
I'm at a Mitsubishi dealership right now getting an oil change. A rep tells the elderly lady, who's also getting an oil change, that she needs a new cabin air filter & it'll cost an extra $45. I showed her this video and told her that for future reference, she can change it herself for less money. These dealerships really take advantage of customers.
This is why I do this. Thanks for spreading the word.
A lot of simple tasks can be done at home. Some people say... its only saving a few bucks but its more than that. Yes you can save money but the pride you have in a vehicle you maintain with your hands rather than just your money is much different.
Thanks again!!
That’s not really that bad of a price, if they use newer antimicrobial filters, since those already cost about 25-35€ depending on the manufacturer. If they just use plain white paper filters, that would be total ripoff though…
I just paid 60 for 2 one in the engine area and one in the glove box
I used the curved stem at the end of a paint can opener to unlatch the filter cover as I have no fingernails and fat fingers. It also worked well to hook onto the cabin filer and take it out. Good job explaining how to pull off the safety latch on the glove box .
Great tip! I sometimes forget I have monkey hands. Lol.
I've owned a 2017 Outlander SE for going on 5 years, I've changed the filter multiple times....I JUST noticed that little shelf above the glove box 😶
Great video. Never would have found it. I can do it myself now. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
I'm at the dealer now and they were like $60. I'm like nope, I'll do it myself for under $25.00.
Thank you 🙏🏻 brother for easy way to help people to replace the cabin filter 👌🏻
Such an wonderful explanation
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST did what you did and found the rat entry. So grateful for this video! I want to do what some other people did......... allow essential air entry, yet attaching a mesh wire or sorts on the outside to prevent rats from coming in again and leaving their little droppings on my seats!
Great video thanks for what you showed us ..
Danke für die Anleitung. Top
So much easier than my Ford Fusion which requires the removal of 4 bolts, 2 screws, air vents and the entire glove box assembly including disconnecting the power to the glove box light!
What is de airflow direction? Downwards or upwards?
Great easy to change the cabinets filter thank you
Thank you so much for this video. You saved me $75.
Glad to help. Good job taking the Initiative and getting the job done. Little things like this save you money and make your self proud.
Yep I'm at the dealership now and that's exactly how much they want to Charge $60 and the filter cost 19.99
What if you forgot to connect the shock again before closing and now the acutal part you need it to connect it to won’t come back further down
Very well explained.
It has been very useful to me.
Thank you so much
Glad to help. Thanks for the kind words. Good luck on your next project. 🤞👍💪
Great demonstration, easy to comprehend 👍 thank you!
Very good video indeed, thanks!
Thanks. Worked great for 2020 PHEV
Heck yea! Good job getting your project done! Good luck on the next one. 💪👍🤞
Brilliant thank you. Saved me so much effort. Well delivered.
Can I wash the filter and put it back in?
No. If you have compressed air, you can lower your air pressure and blow it out.... to get by. Careful not to blow a hole in it with air.
Thanks, that was superb!
Is it easy to change the resister and blower motor too
It is not as simple as this yes easy maintenance procedure. But if you would like directions on how to replace your blower motor or resistor please shoot me a message and I can send you the directions.
If that’s possible yes I have. A 2016 outlander
I am full of empty hopes. For the Mitsubishi outlander I only have direction info up to 2014. 😞 sorry.
Thank you!
Glad to help. Hood luck on your fix!!
Thanks mate
So on my 2018 outlander sport , the old filter had the arrows down and the new one has arrows up. Can you tell me do I need to put the new one as it is showing arrow up or turn it upside down. @Scotties Hobbies
The arrow should be pointing down. That is the flow of the air.
@@ScottiesHobbies ok thank you wp much ans you rock. So when I put the arrows down all the words next to arrow also goes upside down and is that ok then still?
@@rajindrakumarage7673 don't worry about the words. Only the arrow.

Nope, 2019 RVR is different?
Thank you, Sir.
Never showed the air flow direction
Around 02:50 you can see the flow direction. 💪👍
Recommended to replace it every 15,000km
Thanks so much. Bro !

My Mitsubishi 2015 outlander is idling up and down and my car acts like it wants to shut off .
Vacuum leak?
@@ScottiesHobbies what's a vacuum leak
A broken hose or a part of the intake not sealing. If you run the car and pop the hood to listen to the engine run, do you hear and sounds? Sucking? Exhaust? Anything out of the ordinary?
1:26 dingle? lol
Ty!!
Glad to help. Good luck on your diy maintenance. Keep us posted on your progress.
