Predator 5.2 GT500 Engine Swap Thunderbird

I finally get to let you guys know the official news! The Thunderbird is getting swapped with a Predator 5.2 Engine. Who didn't see that coming? Haha! That's right, not a coyote with a GT500 blower, this is a full on take out from a 2021 Mustang GT500. I'm super excited to share with you, follow along as I test fit a new AJE K-member, paint the engine bay and test fit long tube headers and install the engine and transmission in the car!

Hey what coupler did you use to attach the steering rod to the manual steering rack? I have a mark viii going to be doing similar build to yours but with a standard 5.0 coyote / aje k member and manual steering. Will be following your build for sure! Surprised you’re doing something very similar to what I want. I already have the qa1 coilovers and removed my sway bar. Going to be installing the manual rack next.

I have a custom DD steering shaft and joint. With my new LT headers Ill be doing something different. So I haven't figured it out yet. That's awesome! Id like to see your set up.

I found your channel a couple days ago. I have a 97 T-Bird LX 4.6 wr70w 3.27 limited slip. I’ve owned for 2 years I’ve had the timing chain kit replaced runs very well. Question are you still using the thunderbird wheel bolt pattern? Or have you upgraded to a mustang or will they interchangeable. Thank you for your time. Eddie Patterson Silverstreet South Carolina.

Hi Eddie. Im using tue Mustang bolt pattern. The Thunderbird wheel bolt pattern is different from the Mustang. But you can do a wheel hub swap. Ill be covering that in a future video.

Sweet swap. I have a 97’ tbird. Thinking of doing coyote or Godzilla swap. Where did you get the “k”member ? Cost of it ? Do I have to use the lower A arms ? Or just keep the stock ones? Trying to keep costs low. Thanks

What are you using for a control pack to run the engine and transmission ?

The engine is the Ford Racing Control Pack. The 6R80 is the Quick 6.
