I personally would always buy through a company as I believe its harder for the government to take the property off you like they can now.

Good video. Can you make one for doing flips in a personal name vs ltd?
May confuse things but if 2 people own the house is it as simple as just halfing the income / tax ....
If a property in personal name, can it be transferred to a company to benefit from leaner company tax treatment? Is it legal?

That's correct, the numbers in the video aren't all right
Needs to make it clear that 40% is a marginal rate i.e. anything above £50k gets clobbered at 40%.
But what if you are going to retire, if in company pension contributions from a property company I think are not allowed
you are right, for residential tenants. For commercial tenants you are all good
Can you charge the company interest on a directors loan to basically add even more that you can withdraw tax free? If so who decides the interest rate??
Yes at market rates
Yes, the repayment of the principal would be tax free. The interest cost would reduce corporation tax but you'll pay personal income tax on it as income.
@@Proctors1000how can a Director’s Loan be income? It’s a debt that needs to be serviced. So the loan, along with the interest, should be claimed as an expense, which will reduce the overall profit that will be subject to corporation tax. There is no personal income tax since it is a directors loan account. Only corporation tax applies
@@AR_112 The principal of the loan repayment is not an expense as it's a repayment of liability. The interest is expensed. If the loan was provided by a director then any interest they charged and receive would be classed as personal income and taxed accordingly.
@@Proctors1000 i’m talking about a loan to a director from a third party. Let’s say Santander lent money to the director of a company. This would still be a Director’s loan, as opposed to a personal loan with Santander
