- This is the first episode where the think music at the beginning of the introductions is changed up a bit. You will noticed the difference compared to the previous episodes!
Today's Panel: Bill Cullen, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Patti Deutsch, Richard Dawson, and Betty White - Фільми й анімація
Richards tie is different! Love the color. The weave is interesting.
I would always hold up a card with something written on it during the introduction if I was on the panel. I like the ones who do that.
Sometimes they hold it up too late lol
"dingbat"....remembering that at the time "All in the Family" was one of the more popular shows on TV...
On this date in 1981, The Tv show Aloha Paradise episode The Best of Friends/Success/9 Carats with Gene Rayburn as Jerry aired.
Gene wasn't the only one hitting the sauce before this episode!
Gene does not drink at all because he had a bad liver
Richard didn't drink either. Brett made up for both of them.
Gene didn't drink.
For once, Patti Deutsch actually smiled during her intro, instead of making that weird, unemotional face.
I think she only made that weird face when she was in the #6 spot on the intro. I could be wrong though. Love me some Patti Deutsch though.
@deanstran4260 Patti is an odd one. I don't find her funny. I don't know how she managed to make a living in show business but some people love her.
I would have thought Half Nelson Reilly would tickle toes.
Tickles your toes!
Sucks toes
Thank you!! I was going to say did anyone else think of tickles your toes? That was my answer.
@@cinemaholic730 I thought of "tickle"!
I thought for sure Painted was the definitive answer... Bzzzzz I would be wrong.
King Midas took the duchess down to the royal gymnasium and showed her his solid gold barbell.
Gene was definitely feeling no pain in this episode. 😂😂😂
This is a rare episode where Patti Deutsch doesn’t give weird answers.
HO HO HO, half Nelson Reilly, that's funny, however as usual I struck out again with the answer tickles your toes
That was my answer too.
@@dmnemaine I immediately thought bites.
The celebrities had a lot of funny things on the cards during the intros, but nothing made me laugh like seeing Betty White holding the blank card with that funny grin in this episode. Priceless!
Lou seems like he is into an alternative lifestyle.
Gene was loopy in this episode.
Lack of sleep and jet lag I am guessing..
You know, I see a lot of the panelists being criticized in these comments. So-and-so has weird laugh, is an attention hog, is dumb etc. But I have never seen a complaint about Betty White! RIP Betty White, the best ever!
I agree with you on Betty White, but the only thing I never cared for is when she played with Gene"s pants legs
@@patcrites5274love that bit. I'm not a BW fan but that's funny.
That was funny at 3:08
Take 1 (ding!)
3:01 "Number B, please."
Not noticing any difference in the music.
Listen to the opening cue. You will notice a difference!
Went back to the previous episode and compared. Don't notice anything different.
The very first music cue you will notice. No more Buh buh like the previous 175 episodes.
Sorry. Except for that errant "ping" on the slate, I don't hear any difference between this episode and 175. Sounds exactly the same to me.
They start on measure 2 instead of measure 1. Measure 1 has no “wah” guitar.
Panelists:
1. Bill Cullen
2. Brett Somers
3. Charles Nelson Reilly
4. Patti Deustch
5. Richard Dawson
6. Betty White
why does Lou sounds like Mr Rogers lol.
What’s up with CNR’s new wig, especially in the back?
He never quite learned how to pull off wearing a toupee.
New mic wire? It is now white, not black?
Today I have been mostly eating spuds 😊
MatchGameProductions Who is voicing the behind the blank quizzes? He sounds familiar but I can't place the voice.
*NUMBER* B and Gene takes A. Not sure which 1 of them was more confused.
I think I recognize Cindy from the Mile High Club.
Lou Mason is a cutie!
I think he was pretty shy or very sweet.
Charles needs a hair dresser.
Cindy is so gorgeous! I love redheads!
Yes, she was beautiful beyond words.
oh quick hand me the clairol dye .. i will be a redhead again lol...
Gene sounds like he had a little to much toddy.
Oh my wuts up w charles' hair
I don't get it.
Was Gene drunk for this episode or just in a super good mood?
he sure seemed drunk to me . . . to Richard too "would you blow into this balloon?"
They were known for drinking between shows, after 5 shows in one day one could be soused.
Gene does not drink because he had a bad liver
@@storylass9071 Gene did not drink at all because he had a bad luver
Betty had 2 good zingers on Brett but they both weren’t acknowledged. Lost in the conversation.
Brett never shuts up.
Patti's in the wrong chair
Gene had said that he didn't drink 'cause he had a bad liver, but I think he threw caution (and three sheets) to the wind that day.
Why did he throw caution to the wind, because he told the truth about him not drinking
If Gene didn’t have any alcohol, he seemed to have had some kind of substance that day because he was definitely lit in this episode.
Brett, nobody cares if Charles is wearing socks or not
Charles toupe looked horrible on this one!
Yeah, his toupee looked pretty bad the first couple years
He just never figured out how to make the toupee look realistic.
Lou is a hottie!
Gene probably had an adult beverage before the show.
He was always saying that he don't drink and hadn't in a long time because of a liver issue or something.
Too early, just the first taping of the show and being that he has said he had a rotten liver to Brett and didn't drink because of it I think it is lack of sleep and jet lag..
The Midas query -- I said SNATCH
Not in 1974.
The contestant, Lou, gave the definitive answer "counts his toes". Exactly right! Count to 10!! Nobody got it!
Nope still don't get it. It's one of the choices just not very high up the list. LoL
Lou died in 2007 age 63.
I don’t think that was the same Lou Mason. Lou, from the show, would not have married
Scorchio 😊
Garbage was a rubbish answer
Is it just me or was Gene hitting the sauce before this show?
Too early and he didn't drink bcause of a rotten liver. This is the first taping of the day, I guess lack of sleep and jet lag..
Gene did not drink because he had a bad luver
They usually always picked Richard to match and he hardly ever matched. Bettty White would be the one I would pick to match.
Check your facts Richard gave away far more than any other celebrity.
I love Charles znelson Riley but he never quite mastered the art of wearing a toupee.
On the contrary, Richard is not right as usual
Richard lost AGAIN!!! This is at LEAST the 3d time in a Row (maybe more, I lost count), but what's so STUPID is that even the contesters watch this show, so they KNOW how awful Richard is, and they STILL pick him (how are you supposed to feel bad when the contestant loses)?
Being hateful is a character defect. It speaks volumes about a person inner values. Notice you have ZERO likes?
