Great video! My dilemna is that I have a Windows pc and my wife has an iPad. ForScore won't work on Windows and MobileSheets won't work on iPads. Is there an easy way to share files between the two platforms?

MobileSheets is now available for Android, ChromeOS, Windows and iOS. AND there's special Android edition for eInk devices!

I am an Apple Forever guy and I use ForScore on my iPad Pro 12.9”. A friend who lives on the Dark Side is ready to digitize his music and asked if he should switch to an iPad or stick with Android. I reluctantly admit that your video shows that he can stick with an Android/Windows solution with MobileSheets.
A couple of thoughts: We play outside sometimes. Glare and overheating are a concern. I’m not rich enough to get two iPads for a full two page view.

I haven't had to play on my iPad outside too much, so I can't give much of an opinion on that. Personally, since I'm a string player, I never perform in direct sunlight to protect my instrument. This naturally helps cut down on glare. However, there are anti-glare screen protectors out there. Maybe one of those could help?
And yeah iPads are expensive. I hate that to get a large screen, you need to buy the best Pro model. You could maybe try a split screen view in landscape orientation, but of course then the music gets to be pretty small.

MobileSheets has a special Android edition for eInk devices which is best for displaying on direct sun. It thrives on heated direct sun. And you can also get bigger eInk screen compared to 12.9 ipad.
MobileSheets is now available also on iOS.

MobileSheets on Android is smoother than the Windows version, and Android tablets like an S7+ or S8+ are pretty equivalent to an iPad Pro. They also make the huge S8 S9 Ultra models at 14". So that's an option as well. The advantage with Windows tablets is if you also do a lot of music creation like MuseScore or Sibelius . . . I end up editing and composing on the laptop and then outputting a pdf and reading it on a tablet . . . it really would be nice just to only need one device and your budget would go a lot farther if you could make a Windows tablet work.

This was super fun! Really loved watching you two! I’m forever team iPad but the Surface was a solid competitor.

Could you share what metronome app Harry uses on the surface book? Can I suggest AP Tune as a windows tuner? I have yet to find another app on any platform with all the features in one place.

    • @ElizabethKnaub

Harry has just been using the built-in metronome in mobile sheets but doesn’t really like it. Otherwise, he uses the metronome in tonal energy on his phone and likes that! We’ll definitely download AP Tune and give it a try! Thanks so much for the rec!

@@ElizabethKnaub WHAT? I've been staring at the metronome icon in mobileSheets and wondering what it does this whole time... :\

Surface Book is not really a tablet. Compare it to a top end tablet with Android.
