Thank you. I may make a video of me making beef tallow soon. All you do is get the fat trimmings from a brisket cook, or get some suet from the butcher/grocery store. If they charge you anything it would be a couple of dollars for a hunk of it. Cut the fat into inch sized cubes and then put those in a aluminum pan on the smoker between 225 and 275 degrees. And just let that render for a few hours. The liquid that is in the pan is tallow and you can put that in a mason jar. You can do it in the house, but the smell is distinct and may cause an uproar, so outside is probably the best if you can swing it. Thanks for watching the video!
Sorry I didn't get that shot. This was one of my first videos and so many things are running through your head when the cook is over. Each video is an improvement on the next, but I do wish I had a better money shot for the viewer as opposed to just the thumbnail. Thanks for watching.
It has become harder for me to find prime brisket at my local Costco. They seem to have switched to choice. That or I am just getting there too late. Thanks for watching the video
I smoke chuck roast every few weeks in the summer and make some delicious tacos
I've got to try it on tacos. I can see it working real nice.
Nice cook. What’s your process on making the beef tallow? #suppotlocal

@@burntfoodcookout Thanks. Keep making content
Wait - did you really not show us what it looked like at the end of the cook?
