As a current software developer, I too can say that in my first year(more than 10 years ago) entrepreneurship was also my favourite class lol. The lecturer was way better than any of my other lecturers and classes had more of a fun aspect to it.
Remember the only field that guarantees freedom and doesn't cap your salary is being self employed. There are youtubers, e-commerce store owners, etc... that are making as much or more than doctors, lawyers, judges, etc... The beautiful thing is you only report to yourself, and the IRS.
As a UT EE grad, the reason the guy likes the entrepreneurship class is because the prof isn't actively trying to fail everyone.
What year are you? How big are the classes?
Software engineering is guaranteed 6 figures after a few years of experience
Is 6 figures a big deal in the US? (Sorry I'm not from the US)
@@TensorWave median income in US is 31,000. So yes, 6 figures is 3 times better than median.
@@TensorWave i mean, 6 figures is a lot of money basically anywhere

Well my friends let me tell you US programmers are getting quickly replaced for programmers in low cost countries like India
Not really lol. Most software companies cant rely on remote work because of communication issues and poor quality of work

Of course she asks CompiSci people. They all think 100k with no experience.

@@Alex0196 For now, but oversaturation and layoffs in tech will affect that
@@turtle2848 yup and it has already started unfortunately... My SWE friend at Stripe told me they're laying off people rn
Eh the layoffs are temporary, due to a radical increase in interest rates. Tech isn't going to go away anytime soon.
I make that and just graduated in May with EE
Thiiiiccc
