I haven't made a quilt in over 30 years, and those were applique, or top & bottom tied at 6 inch intervals. Now I am retired and have all the fabrics and tools I need, and a new machine, and I'm following you along in each part. Just finished part 1, part 2 is easy with the jellyroll strips (great idea), then on to three. You are so easy to follow. Thank you so much for this series!
Wow, 14 years ago! I knew this was an older video by some of your tools since you’ve fancied up through the years more. Love this, guess it’s a classic video now 😊
I have several quilt tops put together. I have used this tutorial as my guide for all my quilts as I put them together. It doesn't matter how large or small, it works for all of them. Thank you so much for sharing and opening up a whole new world of ideas!
I have wanted to learn how to make a quilt for my Granddaughter for a few months now. I've watched quite a few videos on quilting and I have to say... your videos are by far the best! For someone who really didn't know too much on quilting, I know quite a bit now...thank you! Doing it in segments the way you do is so very helpful!!! Step-By-Step instructions is exactly how I need to learn to make a quilt....or anything else for that matter. Thanks Again :)
as I have mentioned in other places I am a new quilter, like since around Thanksgiving... I have made a couple of things, and then had a small stroke involving my left side and vision so had to stop but am watching these tutitorials and learning a lot and to me well worth doing. at times the computer sits on the table next to my machine so it is easier to reference... very helpful as it is hard to remember ....
I love the idea of using a jelly roll for borders! ❤ im certain my biggest struggle with sewing is getting the fabric cut right. Think ill try pre cut next time! Love your videos!
Thank you for this great video. I am a newby when it comes to sewing. I found an unfinished quilt at a thrift store and now I am going to finish it for my great grandson. Again, thanks.
Oh thank you so much, that was wonderful. With Covid there are no classes and I've a granddaughter on the way. But I lost you on the putting the second border on and folding those corner parts. I would love a little slower more thorough visual as the other parts were. I'm completely incompetent so I need it step by step.
Eu amo seus videos! Love your videos! Muito obrigado por dividir esta lição! Thanks so much for this lesson. I'm brazilian fan! And I'm so excited to make a quilt for my babies!!! Thank you so much!! Missouri Quilt Co Rock!!!

When you put the border on, well the white one, did you sew the corners together? I'm a left handed newbi and insomniac , maybe I should watch again. Love you and MS
Hey Jackie -- thanks for the quick response -- but that's not the quilt I was talking about. It's the one on the back room wall -- not the one right behind Jenny -- with green and white squares (that has some type of flower/pinwheel on it) and it looks like a yellow border.... Sorry to ask the same question again -- I had already seen the "Summer in the Park" video. Thanks again!!
When you sew on the borders, with the border fabric on top, how do you manage the seams of the squares below? I can just imagine having seams that were all pressed one way and then sewing on the border & getting the seam sewn on going the other way!! Do you pin the seams in place or what?
We were in the new shop on Saturday (9/15/12) - and I kept looking for the quilt that is in the very back of this video. It's the yellow and green one that looks like it has little flowers on it. I didn't see the quilt in the shop. Does anyone have the pattern for or know how to make this block?? Thanks!!
I just love your instructions. You make me feel that I can do this !!!
Being a newbie to quilting, I truly enjoy all the details your sharing.

I look for your videos for any quilting questions. Thank you for doing this for those of us who have questions when quilt shops are closed.

I liked the first video and kept going. QUESTION: what to do if not the three measures are 28 ( or whatever they should be)? What do I do?
Love your tutorials!!!!!!
You make this so easy to do.
OK...just watched Video I...I'm hanging in there...great stuff!
hideeho52 Good Luck !! Post pictures when done
This will be my first ever quilt.. Making it for my BFF's baby. lets hope it goes ok!
Awesome quilt video. I can do this. Thanks a whole lot.
Great tutorial!
thank you for technical advise, very nice.
You make this so easy
If you are adding solid borders you can use muslin or Kona Solids, if you use a print that's pretty much up to you. As long as it pleases you.
“there’s no quilt police”. I LOVE THAT.
How did you sew the bias corners ?
Love it ..thanks
words to live by right! :)
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! Beginning to end! Phew! (Quilt Police! lol)

I love. Your. Video
"There's no quilt police." love it
Look around and drive some...I would suggest you get the best one you can afford. We have several 100.00 Brothers and some of them are really good.
Thank you.
Do you have a video to guide us when one end is longer than the other? How do we "take an average of the three?"

Great video thanks just would like to ask , should the yardage for the borders and back be washed first. ?
@babykavin Yes you sure can. I just find it saves fabric the other way and I don't mind the seam....
What type of material are you using for the border? 5:02
Hi Jenny, can we cut the borders length wise for really large quilts? Or is it not a good practice?
Am I right that the finished measurements would be around 38" square for this baby quilt?
sewer. Quarter foot? What foot is this? I have a Brother SE1900. I have a job foot for regular stitches. Is that ok?
i think that you said in part one of your video that you could sew us a quilt if we sent you fabric how much would that cost?
