A link to two versions of the TAB appears above at the top. This is a complete deep-dive lesson on John Mayer Trio's live version of "Try!" off of the album of the same name. It includes guitar 1 (Mayer) and guitar 2 parts in this version (although the guitar 2 parts are buried in the mix and brought up sporadically resulting in a lot of blank Guitar 2 TAB measures).
For us hardcore John Mayer guitar fans, you have no idea how important you are!
i wonder why he doens't play thus song anymore, its been since 2012
By the way, i love your tutorials!!!!
great job for your channel is very good i've already learned a lot of john mayer songs here, i would like to ask you to teach also wait until tomorrow i listen to the solo of this song every day and i dream of learning it
I'll add it to the list. The rhythm part is interesting as well.
That's a Hendrix song
@@javiercisternasnajle it is 👍🏻. John Mayer has a great version though. Definitely worth a listen!
Thank you! Can you make a video of ( John Mayer - Crossroads live in Toronto) especially the intro, it's so groovy and cool ! Good job.
I used to watch your videos when I was in college! I am SO GLAD you are still around
Dude, you are killing it with these lessons, they are incredibly accurate! I would love If you could do John´s live version of Lenny on Any Given Thursday, it´s an amazing performance!
I love you.u are actually the best teacher ever
You are simply Awesome! I've watched all of your John Mayer lessons. Please do Slow Dancing in a Burning room Live on Letterman version!! That version is just amazing...
As always, great lesson. Please do a non-acoustic live version of Slow dancing in a burning room (WTLI or Rock in Rio). Your acoustic lesson of it is absolute beast. I have been waiting for it for quite long! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for this, I’ve been looking for a lesson for this and this is perfect
Thanks. You are the Best teacher I ever had before. Really great job. I'm here from Brazil.
Broken hearted by Eric clapton feat john mayer
Apoio, mano!
Thank you so much sir! We all love and appreciate your attention to detail and in depth explanations. Great for every skill level. The fact that you cover the songs not every fan knows is amazing because I’m one of the few wanting to learn tracing, man on the side, etc. Please keep up your amazing work 👌
Thanks a lot DUDE!!! Was really hoping to play this for my wife cause i had to scale back a lot of our stuff due to Covid and the money situation......but i told her "I'm gonna try"
Wow great to see this! On my bday as well!
Merry Birthday!
Good to see you are safe
This is just too good and thorough to be giving out for free... if you had a Patreon I’d sign up in an instant
So weird. Was jamming on the Strat and this came out a bit out of nowhere. I thought "what Mayer song is this again? Ah, yes....TRY!" So I looked for a UA-cam video. There it was. I've watch a few of your Mayer tutorials before. Always very detailed and accurate. But honestly I though this video was from years ago. But it's just a few hours old!
Also, my kids and I played retro NES Star Wars games today. So....weird. Just weird.
Anyways, thanks for the great video!
the legend returned
Hey man, awesome tutorial. Is there a reason, why you focus on Mayer tutorials? I mean, that's great, love it. Just wondering, if maybe you're in a cover band or anything. :)
sweet! will try to learn this in the future :) would be really helpful to see you play the whole song. Some parts don't make much sense when it's not played in the right tempo
Thanks you always make tutorials which are really nice which are easy to grasp !!!
Can you please make one on Ain't no sunshine Crossroads version please
Keep the lessons coming man! They’re awesome!

Very nice sir ! thank you ! great lesson as always
Mano, você é foda!
Só tenho a agradecer suas aulas sobre as músicas do John Mayer, muitas das músicas que aprendi dele, no violão, foi graças a você! E eu não entendo inglês! Haha
Mas é isso. Obrigado!
You're a legend!! Can you make a lesson of Ain't no Sunshine (Live crossroad 2010) please?
thank you sir
You should cover the neon version from Tokyo
Wonderful video as usual man. I actually came by to see if you had a The Last of Us 2 background up yet 😏. How about covering some of Gustavo’s beautiful beautiful guitar playing from the game?
Cheers!
I love his music. If you've ever seen the behind the scenes doc on the Last of Us it shows him doing the music. He's made this combination Bass/guitar thing and he pumps out droning notes on the bass strings and melodies and small triads on the guitar portion. It's quite neat. I've thought about trying to make one or making a guitar synth patch that sounds like it. Need the string squeaks though.
Zartimus I’ve seen it and it’s amazing! You should absolutely go for it!!
slow dancing in a burning room (where the ligth is) pleaseee
and two rock version!
marcusfsproductions The two rock version is pretty easy. There’s already lessons on the internet. And it’s pretty to figure out by ear if you already know regular Slow Dancing
i wonder why he hasn't done that yet. it's soooo good.
yes, it's one of john's best songs
Please make a tutorial for Eric Clapton's Broken Hearted
This is amazing, thank you so so much!
OMG Tutorial on wait until tomorrow please!!!!
california dreamin’ next please!
Can you pleeease make a lesson for the 2013 performance of Queen of California at the Crossroads Festival? I'm dying to learn that solo.
I'll make a note of your request. I can't remember that off the top of my head but I'll give it a listen.
Thanks so much for this! (And all your other vids/videos) all of the other tabs online are incomplete or just wrong. Do you have plans on posting the guitar pro tab to ultimate guitar by chance? Or do you have a preferred app to play along with your tabs?
Email me at the address in the PDF of the TAB and I will email you the Guitar pro version.
Could you do the live belief from LA? I can’t seem to find any lessons on the live solos or intro, which are great
Hey, you're amazing! I know it's a stretch, but is there any chance you could take a look at John's version of All Along the Watchtower? It seems like a crazy project, but if anyone could do it, you can! Thanks for everything you do!
I know it takes forever to transcribe these, but can you PLEASE explain Edge of Desire acoustic by John Mayer?
It's been a while, you doing okay man?
Plz do hummingbird (bb king and mayer)
Could you do johns version of I’m on fire ?
dude, i love all your tutorials they are really helpfull. are you thinking about making a tutorial about Ain't No Sunshine?
do ERIC CLAPTON LAYLA acoustic in live version pleaseeee
I am so impressed:)!
Thanks sirrr!
I have a question, as it is called the right-hand technique of John Mayer. Is it some kind of weird fingerpiking or why does it only use two fingers?
He uses a pick for this tune, but on most acoustic and some electric songs he employs something called "The Claw" technique. You make the same motion as pointing a pretend gun with your hand and strum thumb and 1st finger up and down. It's a great way to hit bass notes and high notes in a counterpoint way that is both random and accurate. It's just some weird thing he stumbled into as opposed to doing Travis Picking (Dust in the Wind) etc.
ZARTIMUS IS BACK
Can you do 83 from Any Given Thursday
I have just the intro to 83 somewhere on my channel, it would make sense to do the whole song one day ;-) It's on the list.
Zartimus is the goat
Helpless please
Gah. I love me some Zartimus.
can you do a tutorial on the hotel cafe "secret show" version of Neon? it's this really fucking groovy and jazzy rendition of Neon it's so cool.
This is the video
ua-cam.com/video/1kld4FQMlgM/v-deo.html
Please do a tutorial on Don't let me down by john mayer and keith urban ua-cam.com/video/lVbyWunzpzU/v-deo.html
John Mayer is probably the most boring "big names" among the guitarists appeared during last decade or so.
Now, that's a tutorial
