Many,many years ago I went to a carmine appice drum clinic. One of the takeaways I got was if your strong hand is starting to cramp or get fatigued put the stick between your index finger and middle finger. This will put pressure on different ligaments in your wrist. You can go back to the standard stick between thumb and index finger once your fatigue is gone.
