- 2009 BMW 328I (E90) rear window regulator replacement. The rear regulator assembly that lifts the window up and down broke. You will need a new assembly and use your original window motor.

Guys this is probably the easiest fix video I’ve ever seen follow this guy and you will 100% no fail
Totally on point! I was able to do this in about an hour. The most annoying part was disconnecting the power cable clip. Thank you!

Great video, clear instructions, clear tool kit required, and great camera angles. Thank you!
Had the same problem on my 2011 328. Instructions would be identical. Thanks for saving me tons of time!!! Thanks for the part link too.
Thanks very much. Followed your guide all through including the ordering in amazon. Just changed mine, no issues. Big thumbs up!
One of the best one's I've seen, Thanks for the vid.
Thank you!! I'm so glad I was able to fix it myself with the help of your video. The regulator only cost me €25. Pretty sure the shop would have charged me at least €100+ on labor and that's being generous.
You're welcome
Thank you for saving me a lot of money! did it my self
Thanks great video got done with the repair quick and easy
Just performed a successful replacement. Thank you again for the tutorial!

Awesome step by step video bro! Mad love and respect for making this straight to the point and no bullshit. My regulator just took a 💩 and found this. Instant sub bro! 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
Nice!
Excellent video. Appreciate your posting it!

Great vid. My new regulator was supposed to arrive today but it didn’t so to speed things up I thought I’d remove the faulty regulator which I did. I didn’t tape the window glass up as have cardboard and plastic covering the window space at the moment as it broke a few days ago and I’ve been waiting for the new part to arrive. It’s arriving on Monday now so didn’t want to remove the cardboard and plastic as still need to protect the interior of the car in case it rains etc. I instead let the glass move right down inside the door. This caused a real headache as it comes off the rubber tracks at either side. It took ages of trying to eventually get it slotted back in on each end so that I could push it up and down freely again. Hope this helps someone that might be thinking of doing the same thing! Make sure you keep the glass taped up before removing the faulty regulator or just keep the faulty regulator in there until you have the new one. You definitely don’t want no regulator in there and allow the window glass all the way down!
My part arrived today from the scrap dealer and came with a motor already attached so all good. One thing I started panicking about is when the door is open and you click to move the window up it just goes up a bit at a time and you can’t just click it and it goes straight to the top. When the door is shut it goes straight up when you hit the window up button. I checked the other rear door and it’s the same so obviously designed that way so panic over!
Nice! Thanks for the detailed insight
Great video. Just fixed mine and couldn’t have done it without this. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thanks man you saved me like $300 from going to my mechanic and I learned how to do it too pretty easy
Nice! You're welcome!
Great video
Thanks!
Thank you!

Muchas gracias. pude hacerlo por mi solo gracias a tu video, me ayudo bastante. 👍🏻🤙🏼
de nada
I've replaced the Motor and the Regulator . and sometimes still have the issue but 90% of the time it works good . what else causes this? Wiring issues ?
Hey brother do I need the socket wrench set if I already have everything else in the list? Thank you
I would say so... Without a socket wrench, you will not be able to reach in and unscrew
Cool video✨ how long did take to you do it yourself?
~2 hours
My window at first stopped moving after I hear a little snap or cracking noise as if there was something awry in the assembly. I can hear the motor hamming but the window would not move then eventually the window slid down as I drove due to the car movement and now it has disappeared down in the door. What gives here. Am I looking at the same issue as in the video or different?
It sounds like the same issue as in the video. You should not have kept pressing the button as the gear teeth may have grinded away on the broken metal rod.
Yes
Thanks for the video. How do I remove the glass completely so that I can unpeel a strip of window tint which is stuck too close to the window frame to access from the outside?
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know
I need help, I have a 2008 hardtop convertible 328i my roof is stuck down and my back passenger window won’t go down. All other windows are stuck down except that one. Is there anything I can do to get that window down
Unfortunately, I'm not sure. Were you able to figure it out?
If you don’t have a T20 Bit is there a Certain screwdriver i can use??
Not really, most likely you will end up damaging the screw heads
I've replaced motor and regulator on both backseat windows. The left side works perfectly but the right side doesn't work at all still. I replaced both fuses and when I hit the button on the driver side to raise or lower the window I hear a clicking noise. Cannot figure out the problem. Please help if can..
That's unfortunate, I'm not sure what it could be. Were you able to figure it out?
the socket set link sends you to the wrong size
Thanks for catching that! ...here is the link to the correct socket set: amzn.to/3tcv8Pn
Great video! How is the regulator holding up?
Thanks! ...so far, so good. It continues to work without a problem.
@@ChrisAsipyan Thanks! I was thinking if getting the part from FCPEuro but that is double the price and it will come later than Amazon. Thanks again!
@@ChrisAsipyan Hi, Chris. I just changed my regulator and it automatically goes down but not up. Do you have an idea why?
@@gerrygalvan7313 You may need to reset/recalibrate your power window setting. There are many forums/videos online explaining this process. Look to find info for your cars specific year and model.
@@ChrisAsipyan Oh ok. Thanks, Chris!
