This is a fabulous video and I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit. Nice that you had your nieces on the way there. I definitely wouldn't venture into that maze! You two were brave to do so. Glad Phil was a good navigator. It was sweet to see all three of your wooly companions with you as well. Thank you so much Helen, have a beautiful week!

Thank you, Shari - I'm so glad to be able to bring you such pleasure! I absolutely would not have gone into that maze on my own - thank goodness Phil is good at that kind of thing - although even Phil found it a challenge! The woolly companions enjoyed their travels but are hoping for less rain on the next trip! Have a lovely week xx

Dave and I visited this very same William Wallace Monument when we were in Scotland in June. It was so fun to see the drive and re-live the lush green roadsides. I'm anxious to watch next week's episode to see if I recognize anything else that we both did. Our trip was two weeks long guided and planned by our daughter. She and her family had been living in Dunfermline for 3 months. I was their 3rd trip to Scotland. We loved it SO MUCH!

Sewing up a knitted jumper has never been so pleasant, as I watched your campervan adventures into Scotland. Love that you both just get out and about regardless of the weather and seem to enjoy everything. What a fabulous grand house and the history was so interesting.
I would have spent ages looking at all the dolls and their costumes. I never find dolls creepy, they each have their own personalities to me.
    Thanks again Helen.

Thank you, Jennifer - I'm very happy to have kept you company while you were sewing up your jumper! Sometimes we just have to ignore the rainy weather, especially if it's only a short trip - and really, the rain didn't spoil our enjoyment. I'm completely with you on the dolls - I just see them as lots of individual characters and definitely not creepy! xx

    Dear Helen,
Thank you so much for this very entertaining episode! I didn't really expect myself to like the non knitting related content so much! thanks for opening the door to a different part of the world for me. I was as you were fascinated by all the dolls and the doll house! I'm also amazed at your story telling skills and video editing is marvellous! I know how much time it takes to put everything together with the music and the voice over - wow! You're so talented!
Greetings from New Zealand and can't wait for the next video!

Thank you, Marina - I'm glad you gave the campervan video a go and found lots to enjoy! I did think about having a separate channel for campervan trips but then decided that my lovely viewers are quite able to decide which podcasts they would like to watch. And sometimes there is even a bit of knitting or crochet in the campervan videos! I try my best to tell as interesting a story as I can about what we get up to when we're out and about and I love putting everything together into one video - even though it does take a lot of time, as you know! See you next time xx

What a treat picking wild raspberries and a wonderful house that has been in the same family for so long. So interesting, thanks Helen. The hidden staircase reminded me of Anne Frank's house. The lichen on the trees was beautiful. I too would have been hesitant about the maze, it was terrific. How wonderful the ancient trees were. A lovely trip.

That was a fantastic tour of the oldest Scottish house. So in depth. You see things I know I would miss and your research of the things, places and statues - it’s very much appreciated. You see joy even in the rain. I loved the picture of you and then your husband when you conquered the maze - very brave of you to give it a go. I think I enjoyed this trip almost as much as you, from the comfort of my couch with cuppa in hand. Thank you for taking us along. You’ve shared how long these videos take to make shareable so thank you for that too. Fascinating! I loved all the information about the secrecy they had to maintain while practicing their Catholic faith. Being a Catholic, I was particularly interested in that. And that maze! I wonder how many people gave up the quest for the center. Good for you that y'all made it! It would have been funny, though, if you had ended with a cliffhanger with us wondering if you were still there. 😀

What a fascinating place. The history was interesting and the grounds were amazing. That maze did not look tall from above, I was very surprised to see what it looked like from inside. A bit claustrophobic for me.
Every once in a while I will stop and let my mind wander, thinking about things like, who was living here before there were roads or, who touched this ancient tree when it was a sapling. What did they see? What did they think? Did the mosquitoes bother them like they do me?
Thanks for taking us along. I look forward to part two. And that food looked delicious!
