Sco never ceases to amaze.
What could you possibly dislike about this amazing jam?
JOHN SCOFIELD???? Wow! Wouldn't have thought of him in a million years but he fits in beautifully, sounds incredible and is clearly enjoying the hell out of it!
Sco and Warren are ALWAYS magic let alone with Dead members & tunes
Happy Birthday Phil!
Saw these guys in Bridgepit, CT in 2013.... the magic was still there. I stood there in awe.
The first three Mountain Jams were the best!

Happy Birthday.... Phillip
Not a critic 🤪.....⬆️ woo hoo ...80 and on your 2021..🎶⚡🔥
I never comment on videos but this friend of the devil blows me away. 13:30
Phil and friends are not the Grateful Dead. Yes phil was in the band but they arent trying to play the same exact way the dead did. Jerry Garcia isnt alive anymore so everybody hatin on Warren needs to check a show or 2 and realize that they are producing new renditions of these favorites in similar but also very different ways. Ill add that Sco indeed fits perfect but dont hate on warren cuz he slays the axe and has excellent vocals and is an improvisional expert. He fits perfectly as does everyone here (keyboards n drums too).Theres my rant. I love this jam and I love me some GD
personally, i love warren's voice.
Dead and Company :D
i agree. This is an excellent alternative to the GD we are used to. Shakedown was nice!
Point well taken, but your comment is MUCH better suited to Weir & Company. Weir and Mayer just do not recapture the magic. Mayer is talented almost beyond comprehension, but he does not understand restraint. He thinks every second of a dead tune should be crescendo with him front and center. Lesh & Friends' jams really come close to the days of Jerry.
Weir went straight downhill, as evidenced by Ratdog. I defy anyone to listen to Ratdog. I'd sooner listen to Phish.
Wait, that was sarcasm. I wouldn't actually listen to Phish. Shouldn't even joke about that.
Warren does the Dead proud. Not trying to be Jerry but Doing the music beautifully. Sco is awesome. The camera man forgot he was there apparently. Molo is awesome as always.
Thank You Warren !
BAD ASS I LOVE THIS!!!!!! Thank you for sharing!
this show was fire
WOW The Jazzman unleashes , love seeing Scofield playing like that ,,, Thanx
Phil looks great for his age...proof music is good for the soul :) peace
A new Liver doesn't hurt either.
glyn parson Very true... forget about that
On tour 2021🔥⚡🎶
this is killer sick!!!! lovin it
great to see Sco playing w these dudes, didnt realize he was ... he adds a great dimension and pushes it along nicely
soon at the frost
John Scofield is a bad ass
The Q-Trons are strong with this one...
This was Phil's first show back after prostate surgery-It was three or four songs before Phil gave a big smile and the band really started to gel. The lead guitar is Warren Haynes which you should definitely check out. He is in the Allman bros for sure and just as important Govt Mule. The second set of this show was amazing!
great!!!!
warren does an excellent althea
Isso é muito bom! Bons tempos do Grateful Dead...
Camera person can't find the soloist to save his/her life.
Steve-O!! You da MAN!! GReat JaM!
Nice to see them Good Old Boys having a great time.
Only one "Good ol' Boy" on this stage and that's the fat ass stage left.
Love the exchange at 31:00 when Warren makes Phil burst out laughing!
Is it me or is John Scofield not getting any camera love?
Yeah, that really stands out. Weird, because he's the best player on the stage.
Wish Phil was coming for winter tour @ Broomfield...:(
Why would he have come? To watch? He's not in the band.
maybe Jerry as a disembodied spirit gets to hang out wherever he wants to these days. can't imagine he would have wanted to be any place else at the moment this music was being created than in the audience right here at this show, getting off on this brilliant interpretation of the song that he wrote. By the way, I'd love to see Phil play with Pat Martino some day.
Lolmg Phil is phiends with Warren!
Come on man, put the camera on Scofield!
Agree 👍
Dont tell me this town aint got no heart
Luther Dickinson drinking beers and enjoying the show at 7:46

I wish thy had filmed john Scofield
Yes shame the camera man.... agree with you...
molo
ok!!
24:26 is my favorite moment. nice find on youtube.
Yes it it good too be a Dead Head !
will never understand why they didnt have Warren for 50 anniversary shows
Because they had him for the 09 shows and there were more shows which in my eyes meant more than the 2015 shows.
I’m watching this and thinking the same thing. Warren woulda been amazing for 2015 shows. No disrespect to Trey tho.
Why don’t they show scofield?
Where's Scofield?!?!?!
Saw Phil and Warren with mics, but where was the third set of vocs coming from?
Molo
they don't even show him during his solo..
What do you mean...? Scofield is all over this thing...
sco is so sick with phil & friends, love to hear him play dead tunes!
Was this song written about being unable to score drugs on a street in the Tenderloin? "You just gotta poke around," as in shooting a syringe ?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. GOVIBES DOT COM
Doubt he had a shot to work with. Cameramen missed the boat.
Phil's wife made him disco it
Are you?
KIND
ne
Perhaps he had no idea who John Scofield is... He does now! I think Warren is a little embarrassed for the editor cuz the editor/producer/camera guys had no idea who was even playing the guitar solo. It's a shame to treat one of the best jazz fusion guitar players on the planet this way.
no shit eh
troll
That's how I feel too, man. I saw him with the Dead in '09 and it just didn't feel right. I love the Allman Brothers/Mule/Warren, but his style and sound aren't a good fit IMO. Jerry's jams were airy and magical. But Scofield can do no wrong.
I understand I've been a fan of the Dead and Jerry a long time now. But I dig Warren and what he's playing, and yeah he brings a bit of the Allman sound - so why not? The Allmans and Dead have jammed before. Plus it's Phil's gig and he picks good musicians.
Haynes playing honestly feels out of place, but it far from ruins this amazing performance. Scofield doesn't waste a single note.
Scofield looks pretty weird here....kinda painful to watch....sounds good though.
