I could never understand why someone would want to fake having tourettes. It's like constantly having your nose itch while getting your hair cut. I've legit had muscle spasms/cramps from feeding into ticks too much

They don't view it as a disability. They mostly see it as a way to get attention.
Some genuinely believe they have it and act out the delusion they've created for themselves.
There's actually a number of psychological reasons why however, I can't remember them all atm.

I just lost my older sister (27 years old) from pancreatic cancer this year on June 11th and I don't think that I have moved on from her passing away, this pisses me off so much.
I've watched my sister from being energetic slowly deteriorate from her usual self and I cannot do anything other than helping her where I can and cheer her up a bit . My family struggles to fund her treatments and surgery. We waited for 9 hours for her surgery to be completed, thinking that she would get better.. only to see her getting worse before passing away months later. She never made it to chemotherapy which was arranged few days before she pass away.
Sometimes I wonder why people would go this far as faking that they have cancer. Many people suffers from it and they only think that this would get them profit. I don't wish death upon this people and I really hope they at least learn something from it.
I noticed that I do not really have the energy to do anything after my sister died. I just prefer to sleep and be left alone nowadays.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss.. I lost my grandpa to lymphedema, I can't imagine losing a sibling. The fact that people in the US have to pay for surgery and treatment themselves is borderline inhumane. I know nothing's gonna fill out that void, but I sincerely hope that you and your family can find some healing knowing your sister is at peace, and you did everything you could.
How you describe your own mental health after her passing sounds a lot like depression. I've gone through chronic severe depression myself, and it almost took my life and I was hospitalized. I know how incredibly hard it is, but please, take care of yourself. Talking to a therapist and going on antidepressants has literally saved my life. It takes time to heal from trauma, but you deserve to be happy - or at least content. Please take care

Thank you for your kind words. I know that someday, sooner or later that we will have to face this sort of tragedy whether we like it or not. It's one of traits of being human, I know. But it will always hit like a truck of emotions. When my younger sister woke me up in the morning telling me that my older sister is in critical condition, I do not know how to react other than hoping that she will stabilize and gradually recover from it. But honestly, me and my dad kind of had a feeling that my sister will not last longer because her body has now rejects food. Everytime my mother fed her, she will throw it up later. I tried not to think about it too much, things tend to not go your way.
After she passes, I always told myself that "At least she doesn't suffer anymore. Please stop crying for her." but that only did so little since I would most of the time break down into tears everytime I think about it too much. I rarely cry. I try not to. But after my sister funeral, I tend to cry a bit or just break down in my room and cry myself to sleep. It helps a bit. I can say that I am now a lot more fragile after one of the person I spent time a lot with suddenly pass away.
I really hope that I would move on from this someday. It's been 4 months now.

As someone that has had to go through and am still going through an extensive and honestly, really demeaning process of proving my own disability. IE. Proving my own inability to live normally like most other people. I fucking hate this.
I don't curse often, at least not in written speech, but going through the extremely long and dehumanizing process of having to prove to people just how incapable I am, in order to get the help that I need has been one of the most awful experiences I've had.
The entire process of going through disability claims is like the opposite of trying to find yourself innocent. At least if you were someone that was being accused of a crime, you'd be defending your innocence. For a disability claim, you're trying to prove your own inability to be "normal". Your own inability to provide for yourself. Your own inability to even take care of yourself. I hated all of it. The shame of having to reach out, not only to friends and family while the claim is going through, but to strangers. To judges and medical examiners. Praying that they'll be able to see that you ARE disabled. That you ARE incapable of fully providing for yourself. That you do need help. It's awful.
My lawyer advised me to be in court, in person, despite my extreme anxiety and phobias, to show the judge the sincerity of my case. That I really was as badly impaired as stated by my doctors and therapists. It was like being the centerpiece of a freak show. I was the star freak to show off to the people for them to judge. All of this, primarily because there are people who fake this shit, made it so much worse for me.
Fuck all these people who fake illnesses and disabilities. If you're one of these people, know that you're hurting people, even if you don't realize it. People who really are having the worst moments of their lives. It gets that much harder for people to actually listen to us because of your actions. We're the ones that have to pay for your garbage, all because you just want some more numbers to add on to your bank account or followings. We have it hard enough as it is. Just fucking stop.
For me personally, asking others for help because of my own incapability was the hardest thing to do. It's not an act of great admiration or pride. In fact it feels like the opposite. It feels like an act of shame. Like you're begging for help, because in actuality, that's what it is. It's something that I did because I had no other alternative outside of become homeless and dying. To think that these people would willingly do this for just some sort of gain is ridiculous.
So yeah, fuck everyone who fakes this shit for numbers.

I’ve been going through the same process for years and it’s one of the most degrading and humiliating experiences of my life, especially as more and more people get involved. My feeding tube is soemthing I’m so ashamed of that when I had it in often I would literally put myself through the pain of removing and re inserting it daily so I wouldn’t be seen with it by strangers. People like this make my life SO much harder than it needs to be, because everybody is scrutinizing my every move, waiting for me to be “fake” too, when I’m just trying to survive

I’m so sorry you’re going through all this, I can sadly relate as an epileptic. My first manager even spread rumors about me saying I was faking my seizures to get out of doing certain work. I had to literally bring in a doctors note so I wouldn’t have to be around potentially life-threatening situations on a daily basis. I’ve injured myself really bad from seizures before, so there’s just some things I can’t do now. I hate that we have to constantly keep proving just how damaged we are…. I hope things get better for you, I really do. I know the pain unfortunately :/

I'm going through the process right now and you hit the nail on the head. You have doctors backing you up but the fucking beaureucrat who thinks aspirin helps chronic pain from advanced neuropathy denies you because "it didnt affect you in the past and you were fine, so you can still work."
My brother has terminal cancer and they denied him 3 times before the judge took one look at his records and approved it. I have several mental disabilities that my doctors have proven destroyed my ability to work. Literally such a degrading and dehumanizing experience having to sit in front of a group of people who know nothing about what it means to live like us, deciding whether or not we deserve to have the little crumbs of money they're willing to give us to LIVE.

Pancreatic cancer cant be cured. It needs to be caught super early and even then only 10% of people who get treated become disease free.
My mum died from pancreatic cancer a few years ago.
I saw my mum throw up medication. Cry in pain while she waited for a bed in the hospital. Watched her lose so much weight in the span of a few months.
Seeing this is like a punch in the gut. Her behaviour is just vile.

Yep. Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer. He had a type which usually gets caught late (having already spread) and kills the person very quickly once diagnosed. It's actually quite a slow growing type of cancer (Neuroendocrine).
He could have easily beat it into submission with radio/chemotherapy but he thought he had a better idea and attempted to treat himself by changing his *DIET* (ffs) to just eating fruit.
Guess what? It didn't work and Jobs died =/

Idk what it is called but it’s a type of cancer that can show up anywhere in the digestive track. It was on the tail end of his pancreas so they were able to remove it and they haven’t found anything else. Even so when we found out it completely devastated me and my family, idk how someone could fake something like this and sleep at night.

If the judge wasn't going to give her jail time, at least give her a few years of probation! This has to be some sort of rich people privilege. There's no way she got off the easy without her family knowing that judge or something privileged like that. I'm not usually a fan of internet justice, but the internet should not allow this person to have a social media account without constantly bringing up how she faked cancer.
My grandma passed away from pancreatic cancer. It was absolutely horrifying to see in real time how a person goes from normal to becoming in so much pain and shriveled up. My grandma had tubes connecting some of her organs and had a morphine pump and would only sleep. She was awake for about a couple hours a day just to say hello and thats it. She lived on my aunts couch/rocking chair. Let me tell you in a way you can imagine. Imagine a mosquito the size of a semi truck, sucking your insides through it's straw. Like a normal looking person to a very small and only bones and skin type of person. My grandma passed away beyond the recognition of my memories as a child of her. She loved church, her community, her grandkids, and she loved cinnamon spiced chewing gum. That smell always makes me think of her.
I can't imagine someone faking that diaease and tricking people and getting away with it. I'm so damn depressed man.

Pretending to have Tourette’s is so
Odd to me. As somebody who deals with it daily it can be genuinely painful. I’m done permanent damage to my vocal chords because of my vocal ticks and have had to go to doctors because of my physical ticks. The fact that people try to make it a trend can make me feel dehumanized in a way.
    Some of my physical sucks

Hey Pyro, I’m a relatively new viewer and I’ve been loving the content so far, even the slop! But when looking back at your main channel vids, I found this old video of yours named “Petscop: The Best Game You’ve Never Played” and I have absolutely loved it, in the video you’ve alluded to a sequel, but it’s been over six years since then, and I’d love to know if anything is in the works. Thanks for being one of the last modern channels making incredibly well written and researched content for all to enjoy (not talking about the slop here lol), and I just really hope that I can get an eta on a new Petscop, keep on making great content Pyro! Cheers mate!

the most ironic part to me is the claim that she did it "to bring her family back together;" sure, it might have brought her family back together, but at what cost to them? as someone who luckily has never had to deal with a family member having cancer I can't necessarily relate, but I can only imagine the pain that her family went through thinking that their sister/daughter/niece could die any day. after this, I'd be surprised if any of her family even liked her lol.

10:07 mmm yes just taking some vitamin B will prevent hair from falling out during chemo, it won't cause thining and it'll be nice and lush and shiny! 100% real. Chemo attacks rapidly growing cells including hair follicles. If the chemo she said she's taking is known to cause hair lose she'd need more then just some vitamins to be completely unscathed, maybe a wig or some major luck. Chemo is also so so horrible, I've had at at least female 4 relatives die from it in my life time, it is super common on the ladies side sadly. I'm afab (pronouns they/him btw) which genetically puts me at a very high risk to and that scares me so much. And also the treatments with chemo seem painful and long. You don't want to eat, you don't want to drink, you don't want to do you favorite hobbies, you just want to curl up to gather any warm you can, watch a movie, sleep a lot, and try to get over this wave of sickness only to be struck by another wave in a week or two for your next treatment. All the while slowly watching as you wither away and become unhealthily thin, you mught even need ivs to keep to alive. It's kind if like a standoff between the cancer, which will die first? Falsely advertising that stuff not only is crummy but also predatory because some cancer patients can feel lesser because of their hair loss and are willing to take anything to help save their hair.

Just got scammed on my trip to Paris, shocking right? But the way it went down infuriates me so much.
It was two ladies in front of the Louvre out of all places collecting for a "charity" for hearing impaired people. They had some sort of vest and a form to sign as well, at first I thought it was just a petition and they were just collecting names but then realized it was a collection which I didn't really mind.
One red flag was that every single person on that paper had donated 20€ so I asked them does it have to be 20€ to which they replied yes so I figured "oh well so be it". When I proceeded to give them that 20€ (2 times 10€ bill) from my wallet the other lady put their hands into my wallet asking me to give them a 50€ bill instead that they'll exchange money back to me. I got so offended because you simply DON'T touch another person's wallet that I wanted to take back my donation they went full on offensive on me.
I wanted to cross over my name from the paper and get my money back because you know, you'd think charities are optional, but they just wouldn't let me and started calling me names and walk away from the scene.
I gave chase and managed to grab the pen from the other lady insisting on giving my money back and threatening to call the police on them because at this point it was obvious they were scamming. They even walked right into traffic to which I followed cuz I wasn't going to let it slide so eventually one of them gave me back a 10€ in exchange for the pen and sense we were still standing in the middle of a road and we were running late on our reserved time to enter the Louvre with my wife who was waiting for me further in I took the L and let them go. So in the end they still walked away with 10€.
Just the absolute hecking balls to pretend to collect for a charity on the ground of the biggest museum on Paris is just mind-blowing. I'm totally at fault here, I should have seen the signs but because of these ladies I've now decided to never trust a charity again..
(Figured I'd vent here sense Pyro also shared his scam story xD)

I remember this scam where scammers would hook up a child to what looked like IV lines and other stuff to make it look like they were fighting for their life (or maybe someone they claimed to be a relative, I don't remember) and then they would stream that with a worried parent/relative in the background who was praying for money. Or something like that. It was all fake and they were just trying to trick people into giving them money out of compassion. Scammers are willing to sink to mind boggling low levels to trick people out of their money.

I don't have Tourette's, but I do have Myoclonic dystonia (M-D) which does involved rapid jerking movements of my upper body. When the whole "faking having a disorder on tik-tok" shit started I wasn't diagnosed, but that didn't mean there wasn't something really wrong.
I still had jerks and twitches, but since I didn't have an explanation other than "I've done this for years" or "I think it's epilepsy" I feared people would just assume I was lying, especially since it would flair up more when I was in public as I started to get overstimulated.
This even had me starting to believe I was lying, that I somehow convinced my body that I had something I didn't.
Thankfully my mother and friends had noticed it getting progressively worse and worse over the years, and where there to ever back me up. I haven't had someone (yet) aggressively come up to me and accuse me of anything, but the double takes and dirty looks are enough to frustrate me and hurt me.
