To me, the most useful element of Trusts is that they give you a venue where you can test out new skills and Hotbar layouts in a realistic use-case scenario. Training dummies aren't quite the same, as you can largely stand in place without much movement or worrying about mechanics. Throw those in, and little inefficiencies in your layouts become glaringly obvious. But with Trusts, you can stop the run entirely whenever you find them. Rearrange your hot bars in an attempt to fix it. Then try again. In other words, it's a good way to get comfortable with jobs you don't play much. It would be even more useful if you could level them faster. It is what it is though. PS: That armor reminded me of how Eureka is dead. So I'm sad now. :(

@@Gharon What I'd really like to see is for the NM's to be put onto a timer instead of a mob-spawn system. Some can stay on the current system of course, but the add spawn system makes it difficult for small groups to effectively spawn NM's. So that kinda works against things right now.
I used it for the whole smn changes. I was like hell no Im not going into a dungeon with this new setup. Now Ive mastered it so Im confident I can go now. Plus sometimes you dont want to wait for ques.
This is one of my thoughts exactly. I really wish they would expand on this. Maybe buff the trust a lot and allow you to queue for extreme trials. That way you can practice mechanics in a group setting without wasting peoples time. Of course make it so no loot drops for beating it, that way it is just a training tool.
I’m a parent and I agree that this function is great for us. A additional bonus is my daughter likes to play my character, and now she can do so in a dungeon also. She can play at her own speed and I don’t have to worry about the chat log or any pressure or harassment for not keeping up.

This is very wholesome and gives me a whole new perspective on dungeons and the players we do it with. Normally, the community is very friendly in my personal experience, but circumstances like this will be something I keep in mind. I hope you and your daughter still have fun like this from time to time!
It's really good especially for a dps wanting to do a story related duty. It really drops me out of the mood, when I have to wait 15-20 minutes to get into the dungeon. Also I can now do blind runs, without being afraid to get negative comments in the chat. Plus the interactions of the characters are nice. I just hope they'll sooner or later implement this for older dungeons too.
I would love to have this in earlier dungeons. Having to level up GC rank to get the Command Squadron thing sucks. though once you DO get that, it plays a good bit like the Trusts -- except not quite as smart on the AI front, sometimes.
Trusts are awesome and I love that they exist though I wish they existed for ALL dungeons in the game not just the ShB ones. I've had worse parties with real people in them. At least the Trust NPCs ain't going to forget their job stone, not heal me, step in all the puddles, and complain about how the rest of the team sucks while doing almost zero DPS then dying and rage quitting.
@M. Woller the 71 dungeon the last 6 times I have done it with real people took 30-38minutes when I could just do it with trust on average of 36 minutes as a tank... Plus I had one of those runs yesterday where the healer is 80 but doesn't do the mechanics and gets one shot where's there's zero healing to be done and then goes on to complain about someone's gear which is more then adequate for the dungeon.
some of the people I have had in groups, people that think a cat on their keyboard is an excuse to not do anything, taking ice cream breaks, i will take noobs over extremely inconsiderate people.
It would make farming certain glamours so much easier. I’ve been trying to get the healer gloves from hard Amdapor for ages. It’s impossible to solo it because of the first boss. And it would let you test certain things out.
I enjoy trusts a lot. The little bits of dialogue are charming and add a nice piece of immersion into the game. The boost in how much EXP they receive with the latest patch is wonderful and makes things run a lot smoother. I think my favourite thing is that they can help build confidence in jobs a lot more now. I went into SHB least confident in my healing abilities and now I can happily play WHM in raids thanks to practicing with trusts and not being yelled at for getting things wrong. Bar a damage increase, nothing needs changing imo. Thank you for the awesome video!
they're great for leveling alt jobs, no queue times. the one thing i will add is, i wish they did a bit more damage, especially if im healing/tanking, it feels like they hit like wet noodles.
My first trust run was on my WHM and it felt horrible pacing wise. Idk why they don’t make the dps ever use any aoe 😑. Even when I’m playing as dps is feels horribly slow. Even bosses feel like a slog.
@@Harleigh_19 one tip to help on bosses i found out, swap out BOTH DPS, put Ryne in FIRST then whoever... Ryne will ALWAYS use the MELEE LB on bosses that way. you HAVE to swap them out each time though, and i think Alisae will ALWAYS waste it no matter what... even if am playing as a DPS myself, she'll use it...
That's because they don't AOE, they just single target attack. I really like using Urianger as my healer, because he has the death spell that he will use on some targets (this buys you some time).
@@b9556 i LOVE him because of bad Aphy is at times... im still leveling them all, TanKred is 79 so nearly there. also, if hes tanking, bring Ryne along, she gives him the ammo he needs.
I really like the Trust system. Im levelling PLD and im always very anxious with tanking, and the Trust system is a perfect to learn how to be more confident with it without any negativity. Their dps is decent compared to some players and they do the mechanics most of the time. I wish they would replace the squadron system with this. It would be so much better. Also I really hope they will give the NPCs more lines in the future, I would always use the Trust system if they had more to say.
Not really on the first point , because , you cant pull 2 mobs at a time , cause urianger or alphi cant heal like a real person do and let you die most of the time , so this isnt a real tanking situation.... it helps with the basic , but not how the dungeon is actually done .
@@ZelosSama Idk because i had no problem with that...i pulled multiple groups of mobs and they didn't have any problem healing me. The only thing that is different is that they don't use aoes so it can be a bit slow.
As someone who usually ends up getting paired with absolute scumbags in Duty Finder, I'm personally REALLY grateful for the Trust system. Lets me run dungeons without any fear of people doing ridiculous shit like Tanks who insist on pulling everything and therefore making it impossible for me to heal them, or the people who are incredibly rude, condescending and will kick you if you even breathe out of place. One time when I tried levelling as a Healer, I got into Holminster with a Gunbreaker who asked if I was okay with big pulls, before just not waiting for my answer and trying anyway. Then when I asked if they could at least wait for my answer first, their response was "Be grateful that I even asked"
the trust system is nice for learning the dungeon, or understanding your new skills .. really helpful for me when I was learning the drk, and gnb. Setting up my hotbar for smoother gameplay
I'm really glad you made this. I was afraid to watch because I somehow thought it'd be a negative review. I've been having a kick leveling these guys, reading the different interactions between the npcs and honestly having a better time than I've had with actual people (not all of them, of course). I absolutely love the trust system, I can level without feeling nervous if I'm doing my rotations wrong (since I feel I'm relearning to play all the jobs again) and do it at my own pace. Thanks again, it was actually rather informative as well.
It also feels really cool to do the dungeon with your Scion buddies for the first time. I found that it added a lot to my story experience to take my time, listen to their comments and generally just be a complete noob everyone would have despised in an actual dungeon. Somehow, it also made the NPCs feel less like set dressing as well. Just the fact that they now get in there and help you with these dungeons instead of just standing around for cutscenes was really nice. I would actually recommend that people do the Shadowbringer dungeons for the first time with Trust when they're going through the story. It's a neat addition, and will also let you learn the mechanics without any pressure.
As a returning player, I love this concept. Its fantastic for practicing roles I'm not used to and dungeon mechanics I simply don't remember. It's also nice when those I play with arn't on and i don't feel like a full pug. I also see the benefit in using it for farming
it would be nice if they interacted in some way to certain emotes, like wave, yes, etc, otherwise it's a good system, and a system that should be accessible to low level players as well.
I honestly love the trust system. It's so much easier for me, since I have some really bad anxiety with queuing for dungeons. This helps me learn the dungeon without the negativity. I just wish we could use them in trials
I did my first one just this past Saturday as i always run with my husband. I am excited at the ability to farm these for glamour and most if all minions! As a crazy minion lady I MUST collect them all!!! I for one enjoy being able to take it slower and really learn the boss mechanics!
One thing I wish they woulda given Trusts, is some sort of "Attack!" button that tells Thancred to start combat. I find that as a RDM, I'd cast Jolt on something and I'd nearly get killed before Thancred gets the mobs off me and the healer heals me. I've gotten pretty damn close before, and that's with me spamming Vercure.
For me, the fact of having a playground in order to “train” the dungeon and any new skill you’ve gotten is really nice, also being able of getting everything for you can be quite nice as well. As a DPS main it was sometimes a great option for avoiding one hour queues but it’s not too much of an advantage when playing tank or healer, specially when tanking as the trust stop attacking when avoiding stuff. It can become a minor problem when with people you could defeat the bosses in half the time. Also sometimes they do stupid things and get in the way of aoes or use the lb early. So while it can be tedious at times, overall the trust system is a really neat addition in my opinion however it won’t beat a team of human players that knows what to do.
I used them constantly for glamour farming since I can make them run a dungeon as many times as I want. Also all loot being mine is good for desynth lvling as well as Gc seals.
I love them. Gives me a chance to learn the mechs without making people angry with me, I can go at my own pace and actually explore the runs, listening to the npcs is often funny, and when I want to try out new rotations or button layouts I can, again without making other players angry with me. Plus as a dps that really only gets maybe an hour to play after a 12hr work shift it let's me get some playtime in without worrying about falling asleep waiting on df to pop. I really wish they had done this from that start. I kinda hope at some point they do extend it back to earlier expansions but in the mean time I can get by with using the squadrons to learn other classes until I feel comfortable enough in them to not make other players angry with me.
I've used Trusts to level up BLM and RDM from 71-80 so far, and am working on getting DNC high enough to get into Trusts on that. Not having to wait 10-20 minutes for DPS queues is brilliant! There are a few issues with certain mechanics. Griaule, the plantwolf thing in Dohn Mheg, is my nemesis. I've gotten a bit better at watching my Trust buddies and not double-stacking on a sapling, but there are still times that it gets screwed up and... well.. gotta fight the boss again. I've died more to that one boss than ALL of the others in the entire Trust system set of dungeons, combined.
I love this function, I always wanted it in every dungeon and trials. I actually find more fun with npc doing dungeons that with actual players. (tho I managed to pk whole npc party because pulled to many XD)
To me, they were a nice, quirky, fluffy addition to the game. They certainly made going through the MSQ a bit more tolerable due to them essentially doing away with queues... That said, the appeal of Trusts was, at least to me, the interactions and banter between the characters. Sadly, I found them a bit lacking on this.... at least lacking enough to justify the slog that is going through a dungeon with NPCs instead of humans. I may level them eventually, maybe towards the end of this expansion.
My Trust benefits include gearing up, alt 71-80 leveling (esp. DPS with long queue times), learning dungeon mechanics, and trying out hotbar layout combinations and being able to take the time to adjust if something isn't working well. I also like that I don't have to rely on player interaction when I'm not in the mood to deal with people, but still want to get things done. Once you clear the roulette bonuses, the XP/time ratio turns to favor the trusts vs. re-queuing up for completed roulettes, if you know what you are doing in the dungeon.
They also Soul bind gear at a pretty efficient rate, tho I havent gotten mine back to 80 yet, I have gotten a decent amount of materia from gear, enough that at 80 Im seriously considering making the lvl 80 sets and SB / Convert.
I feel like the best thing about the trusts were actually when you are leveling through 5.0 MSQ and using them for the first clear. Taking them into the dungeons and actually FIGHTING with your in lore party made characters like Y'Shtola and Urianger feel like MORE than background artwork and made it feel much more like a traditional FF game and made the end of the 5.0 MSQ feel much more significant as they stand with you before the final trial.
YES! thank you for mentioning that. as a parent is has been amazing to be able to run dungeons without worrying about people being impatient or not wanting to wait.
that's why I am a tank, I set the pace, and if ever I need to go afk for whatever kid-related reason briefly, they are less likely to kick me as they'd have to wait ages for a replacement lol. That being said, my kids have yet to troll me mid-dungeon.
@@dramoriga9161 my kids have always trolled my mid dungeon, It seems like they wait till I'm in the middle of something before coming to ask for something. They're also fairly young and their father isn't really around much...
I/m behind in ShB, and today I tested the trust for Dohn Mheg. We wiped a couple of time on the water spout mechanic, and several times on the tethers mechanic, to the point where by the time we finally cleared that penultimate boss, there were 11 seconds left on the timer. But I learned those mechanics better than I've learned any other, and I learned a thing or two about how SMN works in ShB. When I ran it a bit later with members of my FC, I knew what to do, and we cleared. In all the attempted runs, I earned nearly 9 million EXP. I like the trust system a lot. I get to play unmolested, and I git gud while doing it. WIn/win.
Hope to see your Trust video with them at 80. I just want to know about their alternate outfits. Yes I'm told they are their older outfits, but what of Ryne? Does she get a Minfillia outfit, or even an Ascilia outfit from 1.0? Or does she even get anything at all?
speaking of the achievements, someone on reddit mentioned a while back that there was some sort of reward related to getting all the Trust npcs to 80 but I can't seem to find any confirmation of anything like that?
It’s because of trusts that I’ve finally decided to level a dps class! For the longest time I’ve wanted to play as a black mage, but knowing that it would take so much longer because of queue times to do, it stopped me from ever starting as it was such a daunting prospect. But now I can happily say that as a level 79 blm, I’ve almost completed my dream! Thanks Y’shtola for helping me through this endeavour~
@@thisWinglessAngel well I had originally played BLM to 50 before I took a break around the beginning of Stormblood, but from 50 - 80 it took a couple of weeks maybe?
Though not the best way to go about it, I suppose the items that drop can also be used to level desynthesis. Good tips all round there, Meoni. Thanks for sharing!
How did you get your UI (User Interface) to look like that? I mean that tan color theme. I would it to set my UI with the same color scheme as yours. Any way to find information on this?
I don't think you mentioned it but besides the chest on the last boss you also get a guaranteed piece of gear from the last boss that is something you can use.
That's not related to the trust system though, and has been something in the leveling dungeons for a while now (I think they added it in Heavensward dungeons, but it might have only been Stormblood)
I use the trust system for the first time in the second dungeon of shadowbringer dhom meg or something like that and nothing feel so satisfying than seeing the npc reacting to bosses and also the best part was fighting the final boss they did some illusion mechanic where alisae just ran the tight rope while minfilia was taking her time then urianger just teleport to the boss and im there like wtf do i do it was just an amazing experience
I like trust a lot. It is a salt free environment in which I run the Shadowbringers dungeons. It allows me the opportunity to test things and and not worry about what other think I should be doing. Pacing is a bit slower than an actual party. But that extra time is something I’m willing to sacrifice for peace of mind.
I love trusts already. But thank you for highlighting this new system and you brought up a number of rewards I hadn't thought about. I use squadrons to level alts although the dungeons they can do are limited. So I hope they expand on Trusts in future. I play odd hours so queue times can be brutal.
The trusts are useful for tanks who like me have anxiety on running a dungeon for the first time. Using the trust system to get familiar with each of shb's dungeons is really helpful. Not to mention even tho their dps is a little lackluster the trusts still seem to play smarter than most of the people I've ran with.
IMO think trust system only a bit more derpy. There's next to nothing as far as entertainment from the npcs, (barring them not actually following commands), and it cost gc seals last time I used it. That may have changed tho.
I like that in most situations they can demonstrate boss mechanics. I think if they enhance that feature and perhaps add other venues for learning mechanics from AI partners, that could be a huge help, especially if they add that as a feature retroactively to GC squadrons.
I haven’t used them yet but I wanna lvl gnb and I get performance anxiety when I tank so it’ll be nice to practice without panicking that I’m making other people mad lol
I do hope they expand them to lower areas as well. My favorite part of these Trusts are the fact that SE puts tons of work to make these beautiful dungeons. There are few if any chances to actually look around and see what was put into these and explore to better experience them. There is still plenty of options for roulettes and dailies so I don't think it takes from those. There are times you just want to explore. One area I do miss from FFXI or even 1.x FFXIV is that there is not really any adventure or explore. I stay because of the community I work with, gathering and crafting which I enjoy and the stories.
I wish you could get some rare drops or something with them, like the emotes of the grand company shit, I only used them once for each dungeon when I hadn't finished SHB because "Immersion" but that's it
They're actually worse for leveling alt jobs. The average dps queue time right now is roughly 13 minutes, and since you're playing with actual humans the dungeon runs usually take 15-20 minutes tops so you're spending roughly 30 minutes total. As opposed to a trust run which without a queue time will take 30+ minutes. The difference is with the normal queue times you can do fates and side quests potentially earning 2 or 3 million xp more. So if the dungeon run gives you 9 in total you've now got 12 million in half an hour. But with the trust you only got 9 million in the same time. You basically gave up 25% of your xp for no benefit. The only thing trusts are really good for is letting you have all the loot. And if that's all you need there's probably better ways to get items.
I think so too. The healing trusts aren't doing it for me. It seems like Urianger/Alphinaud are playing Dragoon instead of Heals and they step in pretty much every AoE, causing several wipes. For the moment, I had just gave up on Trusts until it gets sorted out. It didn't happen just once or even 5 times, it basically happened almost all the time. I had better luck with randoms via Duty Finder.
@@LookItIsHope That's quite strange to say the least, I did all the msq dungeons with trusts and never had any wipes because of the AI fortunately I guess.
@@Crasharino I've known others with the same issue as myself, so I'm confident to say that I'm not the only one. I have friends and FC members with the same problem, that healer trusts almost is basically a meme to us.
I used the trust party to get used to the changes that were made to Dark Knight. Also to get used to how I had to switch my hotbars all around to optimize my rotation.
Ryullious yes, and the drop rate is much higher than that of the minions or orchestrion rolls in my experience. I’ve sold tonnes of dupes of all 3 to the GC.
The main thing i got sad about trusts, though in hindsight it makes sense, is that you can only do them solo with 3 NPCs. I was kind of hoping you could get, say, you and your mate and then fill up to full with trust members. I imagine this would impact and take away from the queues too much (or just be wierd or balance/organise), so it didnt happen, but it would have been neat as someone who often players in sub 4 groups with people.
They're definitely great for dps since the wait time is nearly instant instead of upwards of 30 minutes, so it does make dungeons a more efficient option for dps grinding.
Yea trust is imo very good. After u run a lot of dungeons u get used to them as well and u can also do big pulls sometimes. They can definitely handle it. Sadly I leveled them b4 patch so I did waaaaaay more dungeons than anyone else probably lmao
i feel trust have been really helpful for me personally namely since I'm working on levelling bard so having to learn a new rotation. Especially as i usually always plays a tank
I think it’s good and also when you get all 8 members to lvl 80 you should be able to do extremes with trust as long as you have cleared with a normal party I mean sometimes you wanna farm that mount without people doing one or 2 runs leave waiting for other player to join
Not always, I did loads of trust Malikah's Well run, on greater armadillo they run INTO the proximity marker and sometimes stood on the thing, urinager almost died several times though somehow the trust npcs don’t take nearly as much damage as you do from messing up mechanics.
I really wish they didn't have the level unlock thing after MSQ, as I'd like to use them to level one DPS at a time. Random thought: as they level up, do they get "faster" at lower level runs? Or is it synced out?
I did the initial story stuff using Trusts on White Mage and had zero problems with them albeit they were kinda slow. Then I tried doing Trusts after they were dropped to level 71 to level my Black Mage and oh my GOD it was painfully slow. Forty minutes to complete Holminster Switch. Good God...
I'm quite happy with the trust system, rather than wait the 5-10 minutes waiting in queue I've been using the trust to get through the story maining it for smoother transition from dungeon completion and exp and completion at my own pace which I found with npc's I could do two groups at a time and it was from 71-79 I done my progression with i390 gear no problem
I like trusts for the GC seals as I need plenty of them atm as im sub 50 in crafting and I need the manuals. But I do wish they would do just a bit more dammage.
One thing I wish they would have done, was let you do Holminster Switch at Level 70. Right now, I've several Level 70 jobs, esp DPS classes that I don't feel like trying to Q up for Stormblood content to bump me up to 80, and I spent an hour+ in Amh Araeng trying to FATE/quest and I got like 40% of a level, woo. They really should have had the non-craft beast tribes in at launch, or at least give you some decent way of getting alt jobs up to 71 so you can actually start doing Trust dungeons.
I like the concept and purpose of Trust as a whole but agreed with most that DPS is really bad. Obviously can’t expect it to be as good as playing with other humans, but a little more DPS would be nice. Also would like for Trust is expanded to older dungeons/trials, etc. too in the future.
Yeah like at least till Stormblood content. (Since Squadron covers like up to something like 50-60 dungeons so I doubt they're gonna go any lower than Stormblood.... )
Another thing you can do with gear drops is turn them in to the Doman Enclave for some decent gil! Or if you’re stacked with cordials and ventures (i have 200 of each >.
I just wish they were available for Trials. Waiting for "Hades" was almost as bad as it was the first time I was waiting for Ifrit back in ARR. At least I took up a crafting class by then.
Outside aoe damage being used upping the damage output would significantly hurt the player Q system. I believe it's a very nice supplement in the event of long Q times, class familiarization, and run learning. I've ran tanks and dps through it and on average it's been 30 min clear times, 35 or more if I botched something lol. Overall it's well implemented with the only change I feel it needs now is dps aoe usage.
"trusts can't tell at you for messing up a mechanic" except Y'shtola told me "Don't be so reckless..." When I stacked an aoe circle on top of her, but I needed that TBN to pop..
the problem with me of Trust dun...are the npc's exp reward, should be more, i raised a alter job 71 to 73 only doing trust dun, and still none of the npcs lvl up(and i didnt changue them)
It must have been a while when you did it then. The last patch buffed the exp trusts get by almost triple, and it now only takes 3 runs for them to get their first level.
Trusts are nice, the only thing is that they dont AOE mobs and focus one target at a time, which in turn makes the run a bit slower. But they know mechanics well so if anyone is having trouble with some bosses it's great practice. Some things I noticed while running Ryne: stays hidden when you first initiate anything but does trick attack and grants vulnerability up on one target, so focus down that one. Urianger: Will one shot an enemy by casting Death but usually only when it's taking awhile to kill that one mob Y'shtola: Will use triple cast from time to time and probably one of the best to bring along as a DPS for faster clears Alisaie: Probably everyone knows already but will LB when the LB is usable except on the last boss which she waits until its fills for 2 bars Havent really noticed anything with Thancred or Alphinaud but I've heard things that Thancred gets some extra stuff if you run with Ryne but I havent noticed. He does yell at her for some cartridges from time to time if you bring them together.
Thancred will only use his cartridge abilities with Ryne in the party, meaning most of his highest damage abilities (with the exception of danger/blasting zone) are off the table unless they are together.
Sounds about right. They are what they are, its something we didn't have so I won't complain. I don't want them to be the go-to for queues so I like it. It is nice when I have the kids but I have to get up to make lunch or play a board game with them so I can't devote 30 mins. :)
If it wasn't for the Trust system I would never finish Shadowbringers. I've been bullied very badly in the past and it made me quit FFXIV for 2 years. Thankfully I met very lovely friends on Tumblr and I joined them and started playing again last year. There's 4 of us so we can do the story dungeons no problem but we're not always on at the same time so I either did the dungeons with strangers or waited for my friends to be online. Doing things with others is very stressful, I have really bad anxiety and usually avoid doing trials for days before I get the courage to do them. So the Trust was truly a blessing for me. I was able to do the story quickly, grind for gear I wanted and test the new skills without the fear of being judged and bullied. I'm glad SE is going this route because the game didn't lose anything but gained an amazing tool for people who have a hard time playing with strangers.
You seemed to have forgotten one thing with trust though, while yes it is really lucrative because of music scrolls and pets but it's important to keep in mind that the drop rate for those are way lower compared to the player run dungeons
I always leveled up tanking so I never had problem with ques. So with this trust I started a dps and it was great until...... dohn mheg. That thing makes me want to punch a puppy in the face. That needs to be tweeked. Prepare for deaths on that second boss like he said. Also of you take minifillia you on the last boss she will snail crawl the bridge part had me laughing.
@@EdongranII That thing made me stop doing trust. Getting one shot by that beefed up boss is cancer. Sometimes Thancred will stop tanking and stare off into the distance. What are you thinking about man!? Let it go!

I hope you and your daughter still have fun like this from time to time!
Me: Ok I'll give this a watch.
Meoni: Look at all this gil for minions you don't have to roll on.
Me: I have been such a fool...
The thought hadn't even crossed my mind until now and I am an idiot because of it
The more times you run it the more loot you get!
Let's me practice tank, which i'm often anxious about.
Imagine having anxiety about running dungeons as a tank.
@@chlorhex6785 Try knowing what that means before saying it. Also nice job upvoting your own comment.
@@MadamePianissima i upvoted it too, since you seem to be a dickhead.
@@simulatedrainn Nah, I'm just spouting facts. You need to rethink your life if playing a tank in a video game gives you anxiety.
@@MadamePianissima You have an anime profile picture, therefore your opinion doesn't matter
I second this. All of this.
Totally 100% THIS!
some of the people I have had in groups, people that think a cat on their keyboard is an excuse to not do anything, taking ice cream breaks, i will take noobs over extremely inconsiderate people.
Ryne will ALWAYS use the MELEE LB on bosses that way.
you HAVE to swap them out each time though, and i think Alisae will ALWAYS waste it no matter what... even if am playing as a DPS myself, she'll use it...
it might be me but i swear swapping DPS out then putting Ryne in first makes her LB.
1 benefits no one talk about
You can be mean to your party without worry about being kicked
the trust system is nice for learning the dungeon, or understanding your new skills .. really helpful for me when I was learning the drk, and gnb.
"use the lb early"
*_I'm lookin' at YOU, Alisaie!!!_*
From a story perspective, I just like seeing what the characters say during the dungeon. Some of the exchanges can be quite humorous.
I like that I can practice and get good at the mechanics, as well as all the sweet sweet GC seals for not having to share loot lol
Question: Trust system says some enemies will no longer drop rewards. Does this mean it will not drop triple triad cards and orchestrion rolls?
I think its just the 80 dungeon materia drops. I've only ever seen the materia from chests. I've had no issues getting orchestrion rolls.
Urianger's Death of the Seventh Dawn action made me smile... a lot!
Their dps is just pathetically low, like lower than extremely bad players. I doze off during the 6 minute boss fights...
You had me at counts for tank mounts =D
How long did this take you? How many did you do?
@@thisWinglessAngel well I had originally played BLM to 50 before I took a break around the beginning of Stormblood, but from 50 - 80 it took a couple of weeks maybe?
@3:28: I actually got a Shoebill on my very first run of Amaurot, while using trusts and I sold it for 525,000 gil. Sweet!
Funny how you can see them looking at you while you zoom in to look for something else 😂
I play odd hours so queue times can be brutal.
its a great way to learn the dungeons without being judged.
Where did you get that armor from the Video?
The trusts are useful for tanks who like me have anxiety on running a dungeon for the first time. Using the trust system to get familiar with each of shb's dungeons is really helpful. Not to mention even tho their dps is a little lackluster the trusts still seem to play smarter than most of the people I've ran with.
What was the problem with the command squadron?
I love the trust system for learning the dungeons and testing jobs. I just wish they all leveled together since it takes so long to rank them up.
What armor is that, at the beginning of the video. Sorry i just got back into ffxiv.
Fun fact, every npc that reaches lvl 80 has the Option to Chance his/her appearance
Minato really???
@@CTN404 Sure, i have y'shtola, alisae and thancred on lvl 80, you can change their Outfit to the one they had in stormblood
Thanks for the vid, you can trust I will be using this on weekends.
Trusts are cool but I think they need a bit of tweaking.
So, my big question is, can you still get the dungeon Triple Triad cards using the Trust system?
Ryullious yes, and the drop rate is much higher than that of the minions or orchestrion rolls in my experience. I’ve sold tonnes of dupes of all 3 to the GC.
What armor is your character wearing?
I know this is probably a noob question but for tank mount is it the under 80 dungeons or have they changed it so trust doesn't count anymore
That’s how the Trusts in XI work, the trusts can be used to fill empty spots, during just about everything in game.
What is the mount for Gunbreaker ?
They're definitely great for dps since the wait time is nearly instant instead of upwards of 30 minutes, so it does make dungeons a more efficient option for dps grinding.
@It's Alright It's still significantly longer for DPS, and yes, I've had 30 minute waits even on new dungeons.
Do you think there will be trust raiding in the future?
Yea trust is imo very good. After u run a lot of dungeons u get used to them as well and u can also do big pulls sometimes. They can definitely handle it.
Sadly I leveled them b4 patch so I did waaaaaay more dungeons than anyone else probably lmao
Also, I looked on my achievements, and I didn't see anything from the Trust. Can you explain more ?
i feel trust have been really helpful for me personally namely since I'm working on levelling bard so having to learn a new rotation. Especially as i usually always plays a tank
I think it’s good and also when you get all 8 members to lvl 80 you should be able to do extremes with trust as long as you have cleared with a normal party I mean sometimes you wanna farm that mount without people doing one or 2 runs leave waiting for other player to join
They know the mechanics for Boss fights lol You can "Trust" them
Not always, I did loads of trust Malikah's Well run, on greater armadillo they run INTO the proximity marker and sometimes stood on the thing, urinager almost died several times though somehow the trust npcs don’t take nearly as much damage as you do from messing up mechanics.
What armor set is that
I really wish they didn't have the level unlock thing after MSQ, as I'd like to use them to level one DPS at a time.
Good God...
honestly, for me it's mostly about a) levelling alt classes and b) farming minions and gear for other currencies
I didn't know that about the achievements, that's super sweet!!
Can someone explain to me how to get this trust system works ? is it works in all dungeons ? i have ShB but can not make it work?
oh, Meoni posted a new video: auto thumbs-up
awesome video. Thank you always
I will say this. So far the healer NPCs have not let me down as a tank.
Significantly more useful now that you can actually progress with them past the first ShB dungeon before you are done leveling every battle class.
Some things I noticed while running
Ryne: stays hidden when you first initiate anything but does trick attack and grants vulnerability up on one target, so focus down that one.
Urianger: Will one shot an enemy by casting Death but usually only when it's taking awhile to kill that one mob
Y'shtola: Will use triple cast from time to time and probably one of the best to bring along as a DPS for faster clears
Alisaie: Probably everyone knows already but will LB when the LB is usable except on the last boss which she waits until its fills for 2 bars
Havent really noticed anything with Thancred or Alphinaud but I've heard things that Thancred gets some extra stuff if you run with Ryne but I havent noticed. He does yell at her for some cartridges from time to time if you bring them together.
Thancred will only use his cartridge abilities with Ryne in the party, meaning most of his highest damage abilities (with the exception of danger/blasting zone) are off the table unless they are together.
Even with the xp patch, they still level too slowly. They should never have had them drop to 71 in the first place.
Its the EXP the same as runing with normal players?
Yes
pretty much but you wont get any bonuses like you would get from things like roulettes which can be huge.
I can practice tanking which I always avoided. This is a huge plus for me
You seemed to have forgotten one thing with trust though, while yes it is really lucrative because of music scrolls and pets but it's important to keep in mind that the drop rate for those are way lower compared to the player run dungeons
Not if you do them over and over before winning.
Yooooo lol I that second boss, nobody would stand in the right spot I wiped at least 5 times
@@EdongranII That thing made me stop doing trust. Getting one shot by that beefed up boss is cancer. Sometimes Thancred will stop tanking and stare off into the distance. What are you thinking about man!? Let it go!
I want this for all the previous expansions.
I've known about them for a while but I've never done them because I don't have a high level class
