Very well done video. I’m a DIY type of guy and have done this service many times in my garage. I appreciate having trust in an independent mechanic who will do it as well or better than myself. Great that you can trust and support your local mechanic vs the dealership.
I’d always prefer a good independent that has earned their reputation over a company that’s bought into a franchise. I also think the fact you mentioned in the last video that you couldn’t get your bike into the BMW dealer til October ? that speaks volumes . Good to see what is involved in the service in a good methodical manner 😃🍻
This was very interesting. I'm new to BMW and it was cool to see him take the bike apart and put everything back together. It also demonstrates just how much trust we put in our mechanics. Great video, defiantly didn't seem like 25 minutes. Now I've just got to find my own "Fred" in West Michigan.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I have noticed you have commented a few times, i really appreciate your engagement, good luck find your own Fred!

Hey ROSS, you mentioned the drive shaft but why didn't you show the output end of the driveline? that is the most neglected part. you have no idea if it was done from the factory. the final drive end was in need of grease so that tells me the other end needs it. I no that is the more difficult part to service and that is what gets missed.i appoligise if i missed it.
You didn’t miss it, that part is not due inspection until 12k but we will do it at 6k. The bit we added grease to was actually ok, we just added a little bit more. Thank you for your comment, would be great if you could subscribe

always made me laugh that shaft drives are maintenance free. i like the concept, but chain drive for me please
Oh no man, shaft drive all the way!!
Hey @RRGS78 can you do a video of the pros and cons of shaft vs chain?
