Several new gangs have been able to sweep in and make their mark on Stilwater. As leader of the Saints, you'll have to do whatever it takes to protect the members of your gang from new enemies, including the Ultor Corporation and rival gangs.

The boss fights were so easy, but the characters were so badass. Yet the game felt so good. I loved this game.
The story was really the strongest part of the game, it was so good that it made up for a ton of flaws. SR3 and SR4 were kind of the opposite, the gameplay was so good that it made up for a majorly flawed story.

I think the missions weren't so great, but the history is so well done. In SR3 the history wasn't as great as this one but the missions were epic. And for SR4, I personally don't like the history, it's forced and the missions are kinda weird
I hated this boss fight and the one with Jyunichi. I ended up just luring Akuji into the fire and killing him that way. Aside from that they were easy but fun as hell
I laughed quite a bit when Wong pulled out a gun in the fight, lol

@@ashtonchane6126 To actually have a shot at them wasn't easy at all cos all of them were surrounded by many minions. That ronin boss was of medium difficulty. The brotherhood one was surprisingly (or not) the easier and the frustrating as hell was the Samedi's "general" cos it was in that mall with all of those running over helps plus you have to take care of that dumb AI Shandi character. He was also "script protected" meaning that even you could hit him with RPGs missiles he was unkillable till he got in that armored vehicle. Even worse, each time you either you or Shandi got lost or dead you had to start all over again since the pier, no checkpoint once entering that mall. But after all that real hell the emotional reward was almost limitless.

That’s why he hated his son, Shogo understood how to run an American gang, but His father tried running it like a old Japanese Yakuza gang, which failed miserably because Akuji wanted to be on top of everything, which resulted in losing Ultor the one advantage the Ronin had.

@@frankg2790 boses of those gangs use those codes of honor to manipulate their own gang members and break their own rules behind their gang members' backs.

The Ronin leaders suffered the most brutal deaths. Shogo is buried alive, and Kazuo is burned alive with a sword in his back.

You can Cheat in the fight, lead Akuji to the pools of fire and get him to run through one, setting him on fire. Two or three
times will drain all his health. No need to do the sword fight.
Or destroy Wong once and for all.

Sword fight is easy
Just attack when Akuji finishes attack and wait for him to get up then hit him again
Johnny Gat has to be one of my top favourite characters in this game
Gat is so badass
one of the most satisfying endings to a gang story arc in these games, if not THE best
killing off a ruthless yakuza who's just flown in from japan, not just with a bullet to the head, but by impaling him with a sword, then calling the guy who has a personal vendetta just to demonstrate to him what you've done and leaving him to die on a ship being engulfed in an inferno

In terms of car livery, the Ronin has some similarities to NFS Carbon's Bushido, since both gangs drive green tuners.

Saints Row 2 had a weird filter that made it look worse eventho the character models were improved.

The laziest mission in SR2 by far. Nothing but fake challenge here. There was no reason to make the player get to the docks by boat, other than to make the mission seem tougher.
There is no way the devs expected players to get there via boat, instead of going to the waypoint, get out, then go in a car & drive.
Then the docks had WAY too many enemies, getting to the boss was purposefully a pain.
And Akuji himself, how tf were we supppsed to beat him *without* going downstairs, getting burned, and in turn burning him? That katana combat sucked.
I definitely didnt play this mission back in the day because a cousin had it. Im glad I didnt, I wouldve busted a controller going through this as "intended".
@Enclave Remanent Im a fake fan for not accepting fake challenge? How was it fair to have to get to the docks via a small ass boat? The explosives could not be dodged. Its purpose was just to give an illusion of challenge. Driving there was far easier.
And I see you didn't answer my question about the Akuji fight.
The mission overall was poorly designed. It sucks & its the devs' fault.

in the fight with jyunichi and akuji I stun them and switch to guns and shoot then when they get back up I try to counter and shoot! rinse and repeat its faster just thought i'd let everyone know
In both fights with them i only had a samurai sword no guns.

Agree it doesn’t make any easier when they put a cheap challenge right at the start with the infinite spawning helicopters especially with how difficult it is to dodge like how is that fair?
