    Erin was the BEST!!! Cute as a button, with a husky little voice. I remember her phrase, "Hi, you're live on the air with Erin...and your name, and from where are you calling?"

    YESSSS!!! I remember the toot!!! You are so right, it was so much more entertaining back then. I could sit and watch this for 8 hours straight! God I miss the old days.

    As a guy I remember flipping thru the channels and seeing Erin, she's a cute babe with lots of personality. I'd stop and watch for awhile just to see her.

    I believe in 1987 there was a game show called "The Home Shopping Game", and the music heard here was also the theme music for that show.

    I remember these segments at age 11. Going back 2 years earlier, i already recall watching HSC commercials with that station jingle playing in the background. I miss listening to that back in 1987. I also miss Carol Spring where she would brighten folks' spirits with some of her operetta talk while hosting in between. The tooty I remember. I'm waiting for these 10 minutes of old school videos of her. Where is she after nearly 24 years? I attended 93rd st. elementary then.

    I remember HSN in those days-I used to tune in,back then,though I never called in or bought anything-I wouldn't have had the money.Of all the hosts around that time,Erin Morrissey was my favorite one of all-I really had a crush on her;her sparkly,bubbly personality;her lively voice;her beautiful big fluffed-out hair,big beautiful eyes-the way she always opened them wide-her beautiful cute smile;the way she would flash it-I really missed her when she left HSN!She was such a joy to look at on TV-I thought she had one of the prettiest faces I'd ever seen!!I wonder if anyone has any more HSN videos that feature her?I'd certainly like to see them,if and when they're available on UA-cam.

    I remember watching these shows as a kid. Whenever they used a model hands to show jewelry, I use to call them “HSN hands”.

    The In Your Interest version I watched was in NYC but the broadcast came from New Jersey (I think.)

      Wait so that was actually part of HSN and not a local thing done for the breaks.

    I directed HSC/HSN from '89+ what a blast. The people working there are fun, and there is nothing like live TV for energy. Once, we swam out to a boat where Erin was aboard. I was drinking a lot of beer.

    @Disneydanny Net 1 and 2 were a few miles away from the looser 'sister' Spree. The sets and equipment were a little more high end at 1 & 2. The morale was, IMO, more chummy at net 4 where it seemed a little less stressful.

    @kimmididit Can't say I recall her being called Rainbow bright. I worked in Master Control, but she was nice. Worried about hitting her numbers. But nice

    do you know who composed this music?

    • @baylinkdashyt
      @baylinkdashyt 2 роки тому +1

      I had my personal hands on the theme music carts in 88 when I worked there, and I don't recall a composer listed. They were almost certainly contracted to someone who composed these kind of themes for a living, though; in the late 80s that was PAMS, TM Century or the like.

    is this THAT HSC Lady ?

  • @Sulla2300
    @Sulla2300 13 років тому +5

    Why did the ruin HSC? They got rid of tootle, the horn, and the nice contests and jingles they used to do. Now it's so boring that I never watch it anymore. And why did they change the name from HSC to HSN?

    • @baylinkdashyt
      @baylinkdashyt 4 роки тому +1

      Because they thought they sounded more impressive being a Network.
