Nice box Jeff. I think I’ll make one like it for mine. One thought though, not sure how deep yours is but mine will be deep enough to keep the manual, DVD etc inside as well. Thanks for sharing.
18:21 Very nice. Before you rounded the edges and left the layers of the plywood ends visible, I would have at least considered using Roll Wood Veneer Edge Banding strips on the top bottom and right ends. It would have raised the entire look of the piece a notch. (The trick with those strips is figuring out pre-glued vs using wood glue). Many on Amazon come pre glued for convenience but not great results
Hey Jeff, this was a great video. I am new to wood working and went out and bought a bunch of equipment but then drew a blank on what I bought the stuff for. I mean I can think of a lot of things but I need something small to start off with and this would be a great little project. Thank you,
Hi Jeff, I also believe that’s a great way to store my DowelMax. Would you please send to me the plans? My email is “stevesee@comcast.net” Thanks for sharing this build. I also purchased the Jesus table saw jig shown in your video. I really love using it. I can now feed a sheet of plywood by myself, knowing the rollers will keep it next to the fence for a straight cut. Thank you, Steve Christiansen
Excellent build, i am planning to build one as well & this gives me some great ideas. Can I ask you what is it that you are using to protect your drill bits & where to buy them? One comment on the build, i would have loved it even more if you used dowelmax to build the box as well :)
I did not buy those. They were used to protect threads of knobs I used to order for my business. I have hundreds of them. If you would like some and want to pay the postage I can send you a few in the mail. Using dowels to build the box would be a nice touch. Thanks for watching.
Hi Jeff,Very nice box man,im a fan all the way from South Africa,i need to ask, what do you call those wheel hold down things on the fence of your table saw?sorry to ask but we dont have much fancy gadgets round here and i would like to check online if you can help me out please!
Hi Jeff, perhaps I missed it, but I'm curious how you cut the short vertical grooves in the long divider and side piece (I'm referring to the grooves that accept the tongues of the short dividers -- visible at 6:50). You show several operations at the router table starting at 5:25, but those all look like long grooves cut long ways against the fence. Did you use your router table (perhaps with sled or miter gauge) to cut the short/vertical grooves, or some other way? Thanks. I'm ready to upgrade from the cardboard box, too. :)
It's been a long time since I've made the box but I do believe that I used my router table and fence and made several passes with increased depth of cut. It's relatively safe as long as you don't take to much material. Using a sled would provide a safer alternative.
Very well done! I just bougta Dowelmax so iltbe making your design of box so thaatit has a good home in the shop 👍
Thanks for watching and good luck with your box.
Nice box Jeff but for this particular project (DowelMax) I think dowel joints would have bee appropriate?
+Sebastopolmark Probably so, hind sight is always 20/20.
Nice video Jeff, thanks for sharing. I just got a dowelmax jig and will be making one of these soon.
Thanks Mike, it's a great tool. Thanks for watching as well.

Thanks for watching William. Yours will definitely be deeper. Would love to see a pic when you get it done. Good luck with your build.
Love it! I've been looking around at a couple versions of dowelmax boxes, I think this is the closest to what I want to do.
Kirby Weldon Thanks! It has worked out great.

Thanks for watching. I have never used premade edge banding.

You're welcome and if you want the plans I need an email to send them to you. Good luck with all your projects.
I appreciate that. My email is lance_whitted@yahoo.com
Hey Jeff, would love a copy of these plans. Will send you a dm with my email. :)

Awesome!
Thanks Anthony and thanks for watching/commenting.
Nice Job
+ricosauve33 Thank you!
hi Jeff: Nice work! Where did you get the material that you use to protect your drill bits from? Thanks....

nice and simple build - BTW what 3D program was that you had on the screen?
Solidworks but I have since switched to Fusion 360. Mainly because it's free.

Jessem Tool makes them. Thanks for watching.
Now that they came up with an add on to set the drill stop, I'm going to have to make another box
Good luck with your build Eddie. Thanks for watching.
Very nice box. With a year of use, would you do anything differently if you built it again?
Not a thing! It has held up to many uses and everything has its place. Thanks for watching
Jeff Fischer, all half inch stock?
Yes sir.
Jeff Fischer- Thank you sir!

great job! are the plans still available?
They are; if you give me your email I will send them to you. Thanks for watching.
finding your dowel max needs another box, so it can stay in the box, what about sending it to me,,,
If you were talking about the old cardboard box, it's long gone!!
