When you go up to 50 MpH and on the smooth of surface road it still has the vibration but not at higher speeds. If you want to minimize it, you Should got more pressure in the front tire. The problam is that, yamaha bolt has bad slope of fork which make resonanse, and weight geometry. only one way to solwe tis problem. you need to change triple tree and set fork more slopely
I just found this video trying to figure out how to calm down the vibration in my handle bars and deal with the wobble. I hope if I change out the bearings the vibration will also calm down. Right now it’s too hard on my body and makes my arthritis worse. I bought a used 2014 and while it also jolts going into first gear, the bigger issue is definitely the big issue. It’s such a. beautiful bike and has fun get up and go. I hope I can find a mechanic willing to work on it now that it’s ten years old. Thank you for making the video. Nice bike you have.
Hey man, thanks for watching. Yea I have a similar issue with my wrist but it’s carpel tunnel. The bearing removes the wobble, but for wrist pain try the crampbuster. That helped my wrist a ton. Also Avon air cushion grips are supposed to dampen a lot too. Finding a mechanic is cake. Bearings are a regular procedure in a bike shop. Good luck!
Hello, I have a 2019 Bolt. Lately, it has been experiencing some movement in the handlebar that is very annoying. The vibrations above 70-80 km/h are strong and uncomfortable. After reading some comments, I saw that you changed the handlebar bearings. I just wanted to make sure that the part you used from All Balls Racing is this one (ALL BALLS STEERING BEARING KIT - NO. 22-1004). Greetings from Mexico.
Nick, I have the 2019 base model,( Raven Black with stock seat and the removable pillion), just topped over 25,162 km's, (15,627 miles), and took off the worn out Stock tires and replaced them with Shinko SR777's. I just wanted to say that I have never had any wobble in the front end..... never..... sooo I'm wondering if that should have been tagged as a recall issue for the 2014/15 builds If enough people had whined about it ??? On another note.....Not sure what Star MC did since 2015 to the Bolt's 942, but the G-tank went from 3.2 to 3.4 gallons....and the exhaust tone went down a few notes.... from a Boapp Boapp Boapp to a Buupp Buupp Buupp sound.... much lower in tone than your current....The " Mellon - Cannon" is still the same length outside, so maybe they upped the inside diameter of the thru-pipe and shortened the baffle a bit ??. since your build came out. Something to ponder..... ha. FYI... for the peeps reading this.... It is my understanding that ' Shinko ' is the rebranding of Yokohama's MC tire division..... So if you never heard of them before.....Now you know..... Awesome dual-compound tires...., ( I put them on my now Sister's Virago 4 years ago ),... Any Who..... Stay Safe, .... Ciao.
Thanks for the comment, appreciate it. Interesting, I haven't been on the newer Bolts so I wouldn't know. People tried to recall it but Yamaha said it was a "safety feature" since you really shouldn't ever have less than 2 hands on the bike ever.

@@richardromero6423 I think replacing the bearing is a great idea. But I think you should send it to a shop. Doing it by yourself may cause a lot of time and anger but good luck!

Hey man great video and nice bolt. #boltheadz lol I have a bolt as well with my content on my channel. I'm using the Vance and Hines slip on and the Koso meter.
AllBallz Steering bearings. I am in Maine, USA just so you know. There is a website just look up steering bearings and select yamaha bolt. Steering bearing isn't specific to every bike, pretty generic mechanical part.

Has to be the worst bike I ever owned.no steering damper.you are the steering.no horsepower at all.very sketchy on the freeway.single calipers,no braking power.i got cut off by a stupid woman.had to lay it down.at 40 miles an hour.i didn't lay it down.the bike layed down for me.the handle bars slammed to the left and ripped out of my hands.it basically body slammed me to the ground.now I have a titanium plate and screws in my chest.there is a very bad death wobble in the steering that can happen at 55 plus mph.the wind murders this bike.funny how I put 66,000 miles on my last Hayabusa with no wobble or any sketchy moment ever.sll because it had a olins steering damper on it.this bike is a complete death trap.i won't ever ride two wheels again.women and everyone out there don't look for you.they pull out in front of you,and think it's funny.im lucky to be alive because of my helmet.12 broken bones.and a permanent limp.is not worth riding anymore This bike needs to be recalled and destroyed.
I’m sorry to hear about that my friend. Definitely seems like you had a rough time and for that I truly am sorry. Death wobble is in my videos, fix the steering bearing = fix the death wobble. It does not have the braking power anywhere near a hyabusa BECAUSE it has lower power. Bikes aren’t meant to be laid down, and I’m sorry it happened, again, but any bike laid down will more than likely have some seriously negative side effects. Yamaha created an inexpensive, performance cruiser that is NOT perfect but with a few modifications it’s actually a sweet bike.
Keep posting bro, there is hardly any yamaha bolt videos on youtube so any new ones are awesome to see
Thanks for the sub, got many on the way 👍
I dig your vibe bro! Appreciate the video and the beautiful views!😲
I angle cut my stock muffler. Removed all baffles and modified stock air filter housing to pull air from front vs engine side. Increased torque
That’s pretty sweet. I bet you saved a ton of money

Tire pressure definitely played a role in my wobble but it was not the primary reason. For me, it was for sure the steering bearings.
Looks Awesome Man !
Thanks!
