Josh, I have been listening to your presentations for quite a while. While my wife was working in El Paso as a midwife, I visited Hardin's grave site. If memory serves me right, he was buried in Concordia Grave Yard. According to the grave marker maps, Selman was buried there, too. But I could not find his grave. I also noticed that soldiers from the 1st of the 10th Cavalry were relocated to that same graveyard. I admire your storytelling ability, but most of all, I'm very much impressed with the way you cross-check your research. I am from North Carolina, and I came from a long line of storytellers. I wrote one book called The Ball Player, and I know just what one goes through when a story can spin out three or four different ways.
Big fan of your content Josh and my fandom is getting bigger and bigger. I dont want this to sound rude, but i listen to you to fall asleep.... I listen to Paul Cooper (Fall Of Civilizations), Pete Kelly (History Time) and your channel. Obviously, they cover ancient history mostly, and yours is a lot more recent, but I love all things history..... I have trouble falling asleep. My mind races all over the place unless I am listening to intriguing content and top shelf narrators. You three gentlemen have both of those things. Thanks to you guys, I do end up falling asleep, but the next night I pull up the same video and find the last part I remembered hearing before I drifted off and continue listening. Just wanna say "thank you, Josh." I have recently subscribed and I look forward to more awesome content. Saving this one for tonight and if all goes well, I will finish it tomorrow night!!

I was wondering if you might ever do an episode on Texas Jack Omohundro?
I really Ike your channel about the old west. I'm originally from Leadville, Colorado. We still have homes and buildings that were built in the 1870's and 1880's still standing I would like to say that your the most authentic and honest storyteller about the old west. I can tell you do a lot of research digging up the facts on person or people your talking about I'm going to become a paying remember today. "I shot the sheriff, but did not shoot the deputy." "Why would you do that?" "It was self defense. They raised up their guns when i was tryin to escape from unlawful detention! Totally self defense. Just like that last 12."
I may be inclined to believe someone who tells me theyve killed a man in self defense once in their life. As long as it's believable right? But someone says they've killed 2 guys in self defense I immediately don't believe them. Either they've not killed or it wasn't in self defense. 20+ people.... There's no way. Even back in those days I just don't believe you'd be put in a spot to kill a man THAT many times. Idk if he's trying to convince others, the judge or himself.
Lol, were all Hardins! Jokes aside, my grandma always said her grandpa was a cousin of Hardin. We was born in Texas before eventually moving to Kansas (Newton) in the 1870's I have absolutely no reason to believe this, but it's a family story that keeps getting passed down.

If cartridge guns weren’t invented yet explain to me the 1855 volcanic pistol and rifle the 1860 Allen & Moore revolver, the 1832 to 1835 French and Belgian pinfire ,1857 s&w #1, 1861 s&w #2 army, the 1860 Henry rifle, the 1860 spencer rifle and carbine all cartridge guns and all guns that can out before and during the American Civil War and all used in the American Civil War so that also means before Hardin kill all the men he did you need to do more research my friend

Was Hardin a Persecuted hero or Homicidal maniac? I suspect the truth is somewhere in between. He probably started off as abit of a hot head growing up on a time and placed where getting in trouble was easy. Then he may have gotten to willing to live that life. And probably mean when drinking.
Well once you cross a certain line it's hard to come back from it. You know youre going to prison anyways once you're caught and nobody wants to go to prison. I've been and it sucks.
