Schooner MALABAR X: Sea trial in Barcelona

Malabar X was built in 1930 and is considered the finest schooner in the Malabar series of designs by John G. Alden. The design number is 453.
Sold and moved to Spain in 2008, she has resided at the Real Club Nautica in Barcelona, Spain ever since, with a lively racing and yachting career in the Mediterranean.
The schooner Malabar X was recently sold to Capt. Seth Salzmann, who used to captain it and brought it to Spain in 2008, but Seth also owns the Alden schooner When and If, which was built for General George Patton in 1939.
In this video we uncover the boat after a few years sitting idle at the dock and take her out for her first sail in some time. We were rewarded with 10-15 know southwest breezes and with mainsail, foresail, staysail, and genoa set we managed to get the old schooner up over 9 knots.

i'm also the newish owner of DAUNTLESS. same year as MALABAR X. but totally different hull and sail plan.
may the boats meet for a race in the not too distant future. however i'm on west coast and you are east coast. though there is a sea route between . . .
