Great overview. I believe the manual says do not use the the gold filter when using paper.
Also I use this daily on the single dose setting. (Taste way better)

Hi thank you for the informative video. Do you know what the little flap on the filter basket is used for? I can't find anything on it in the manual

If you mean the flap on the basket filter assembly, thats for the machine to control hot water flow
