I’m Mexican and how do they have a star? I grew up in Albuquerque with great tacos but the best tacos I’ve ever had were actually in fact in Lakewood, Ohio right down the road from Cleveland. It’s called La Plaza, it’s a taco place attached to the Hispanic grocery store. Man you have to try those and I give you my word you’ll rank them a 9 or 10.

100%. It takes a long time to go to the market, prep the grill, toppings, etc. When you make carne asada, you usually want to make a lot 6+ people. Cooking it is fast and hard to mess up and assembling into tacos is not work at all.

I'm from Mexico City and gotta say, even 25 pesos is still a little overpriced here. There is a lot of places where you can buy a big taco with a lot of meat and toppings for that price. This a basic humble Mexican man that works hard to provide for his customers and is probably upselling due to the large demand. If he manages to get a tourist to pay 52 pesos (less than than 5 dollars per taco) than more power to him. I remember in Puerto Vallarta there was a line down the block for a small taco restaurant and then across the street was much humbler taco stand. And the food was significantly cheaper for the exact same kind of tacos. Love Mexico

Idk man in my state it’s hard asf to even find tacos at more than 25 pesos, unless the tacos are gigantic, but most fire tacos here are in the 15-19 pesos range, above that your on some Fifi shit that ain’t worth it (unless the tacos are big as i said)
I have a taco truck near me that does 4 for $6 and 6 for $9 deals on tacos, much bigger and you can pick the toppings you want. I don’t even consider these tacos.

I'm from Mexico City and gotta say, even 25 pesos is still a little overpriced here. There is a lot of places where you can buy a big taco with a lot of meat and toppings for that price. Medium-sized tacos cost something around 15 to 20 pesos and the cheapest taco places still offer each taco for around 10 pesos (probably not safe to eat there, though, lol). 52 pesos for a taco is just crazy

Unpopular opinion, but if you go to a Michelin star restaurant, you aren’t worried about prices, period. This a basic humble Mexican man that works hard to provide for his customers and is probably upselling due to the large demand. If he manages to get a tourist to pay 52 pesos (less than than 5 dollars per taco) than more power to him. Let this man thrive off the attention with money, instead of spending it at a trendy spot where you’ll be charged 3 figures for a meal (US currency)
