Dwight knew what Jim was trying to do, so he bought Pam flowers so that Jim would lose $200 while not succeeding in setting up Dwight. Jim's setup backfired because he lost money, and no one would suspect Dwight of buying Pam flowers on behalf of Jim.
These are all so good. I also liked the magic beans prank, especially at the end where Dwight watered the plants and then Jim replaced them with larger plants. Imagine if Jim had used all that energy to sell paper - he would have always been the top seller!

I have always had this head cannon that Dwight was playing along. He’s well aware of Jim’s shenanigans as most of them are telegraphed pretty obviously. Dwight just plays along because, just like Jim, he’s terribly bored in that office and Jim’s pranks add something to his day. All Dwight would have to do is ignore Jim until he got bored but he always engaged in his antics and plays along. There are many times in the show where they are shown getting along like two brothers and Jim seems to be the only person in the office who gets along well with Dwight.
I'm sorry but hearing the theme at the end of the video makes me so emotional and nostalgic, this show is in my heart forever, I'll never be the same person I was before I watched it
Fun fact, the annex backroom 10:34 is an actual functional office, whoever sits there are actual writers/actors of the shows, often times they would work and write during filming, therefore they wanted to have a proper separation for the writers to work in peace, without getting shot in the background or disturbed when other scenes are going on...
