    I think the fans are the real winners on this competition,I do agree with most of your assessment you have a great and refreshing outlook on the events the way you put yourself at the top is just being honest and not arrogant I appreciate that tremendously the only placing I see differently is Max will be in third place I think I see him winning a couple of events.This is the strongest closest matched up lineup I think there has ever been so you are all winners.

    Hey Mitchell. As I'm sure with a lot of strongmen fans I didn't really know who you were until about a year ago but my how you have impressed me.
    More so with your brain than just how strong you are.
    It's awesome to see you learning from people around you.
    I really enjoyed watching your video with Eddie today where you talked about no stone unturned.
    It's a fantastic mentality and I loved how Eddie added all the 1%s up and was like. There you go that's a 5% improvement.
    Reminds me of a book called the 7 Habits of Highly effective people I read a long time ago and also Atomic habits by James Clear.
    All these little bits add up and I am super excited about the amount of work you have put into the timber carry too. The work you have put in with Loz is just bang on.

      Dont think so, he wont score good points on deadlift because of his explosive technique, his axle is a big questionmark because i dont think he trained on a fixed one, and i dont think he will score good point on the trial by stone, especially because he only trained with sandbag and no natural stones and i predict he will have problems with stabilising the stone overhead.

    • @Micheldied
      @Micheldied 6 місяців тому

      I think he has the ability to, but his deadlift will probably not be great because I don't think his technique will go very well with the elephant bar. I also think he will have issues on the tombstone if he tries to do it how he does sandbags in training. If he got those down though, these are incredibly good events for him.

    Decent predictions, agree with Top 3, for 4th I think I'd see Evan Singleton or Tom rather than Thor who will lose some points on axel. As for the frame.. I think Mateusz might edge you out. Lately, he got a neat setup for the frame uphill with adjustable height, so he might be serious about breaking his WR on that event. Though I do remember you running up that ramp with frame real fast last year so... yeah. Good luck and don't get injured!

    Your jerk is really looking good. The fact that you actually get into a decent rack position is impressive given the poor shoulder mobility of most top strongmen. You're still turning your rear foot out on the split. Fix that and you're golden.

    • @JReed5635
      @JReed5635 6 місяців тому

      I think if you manage to dominate this event using a legitimately good split jerk, it might be a sport altering moment. We may see more of the larger competitors learning decent jerk technique. Ultimately it is possible to lift more weight with a jerk than a push press.

    Maybe I was having issues following what you were saying, but it sounded like Thor would be a lot lower than 4th (save for the deadlift, which we all think he will be top 3 if not top 1). Aside from the deadlidt, some good events for Maxime to get a top 5 here.

      He'll likely be last in the DL, no idea how he'll do in the axle press. He's great for farmer's carries for speed, but unsure of how he'll do on Dinnies. He should be top 4 in the timber carry. I think it's unlikely he'll be in the top 5. Mateusz, Licis, Hooper, Tom, and Evan will be top 5 I think.

      @SvenTheShoeBuyer Years ago, I would agree with you, but I think the points are going to be so much more spread around this year, than a last will hurt you a little less. A couple top 3s on frame, dinnie and maybe either axle or stones will really push him up there over guys finishing 5th/6th every event.

      @@martybendick2246Maybe he'll upset the field, but it's hard to see him beating Martins, Thor, Evan or Tom.

      @SvenTheShoeBuyer Similar to the Arnold's 2019 Santa Monica (I think, maybe '20). Where he almost blew everyone out of the water (Shaw, Martins, Caron), just with a good set of events.

      @@martybendick2246 yeah Santa Monica was crazy, but he’s against all the best guys in the sport here, not 3-4 like back then. He hasn’t gotten a rep on the stone to shoulder, and that’s without a press and stone over hitching post.

    Will be interesting to see the frame and Donnie stones results and if they correlate. My prediction is that they will and if so, wish they would’ve switched one of them

    Gl mitch, and have fun playing with your buds. I think Evan may place well this time tho.
    Honestly I think it's gonna be you, Tom and Evan on the podium.

    It should be a great comp. Good luck to all ten guys.

    Everybody's so good, least mistakes, most endurance and well rounded wins. Imo, that means some mix of Mitch, Martins, and Olexsii followed by Thor and Tom. Thor has to knock off competition rust, plus not being near overall top form yet. Tom might do better than I think. Oleksii might not do as well, but he's beefed up so much, maybe he's in top contention again. We'll see. Mateusz is an unkmown to me, so I have no sense for his abilities, though losing so many points on deadlift may keep him off podium, despite his rep. Evan's great, but efficiency isn't yet his rep compared to the likes of my top 3.

    Mitchell, Martins and Thor all have won the Arnolds and none of them have lost since they won. It's gonna be an interesting show for sure!
