I know this is not how to 180 but it is easier to ask here so you can see my comment easily. When you do fast 180, are you hopping straight then spin in the air or you sou still start rotsting while pulling the front end of the bike?
Need to learn to bail, to do that you have to purposely fail. Do this on grass, so come from pavement and 180 so you land in grass, worst that will happen is you will roll over backwards or sideways if you don't get a full spin. You probably won't get a real 180 but once you've messed up a few attempts you'll be able to try it on pavement with more confidence. You'll feel the trick going bad and your muscle memory will kick in to save you. If you mess up on pavement. Do this for any trick, face your fear in grass and wear a helmet. Also high top shoes are good for ankle support, don't want to roll an ankle if your foot lands funny. If you have a friend that rides, or one that doesn't, have em come with you. It'll give you support, and if maybe they can film, you can review your technique. I used to biff manuals bad, but learning to recover like aird shows made it so I can practice 80 times in a row without hurting myself.
You can also ride slightly uphill then you will lose speed as you stop pedaling so you won't slam so hard if you fail. Also just practice, you'll get more confident.
Eric Challacombe well, that doesnt sound like quality. My bmx cost about 500€ and it isnt that good. It is okay and I‘m fine with it but yeah buy you a nice quality bmx, then you can have fun with it and it doesnt break. Some nice brands are: Cult, Volume, S&M bikes, Wethepeople and so on
