It’s 4 AM and I just home after my light came on and the message center said faulty tire pressure sensor. Upon hitting the button to see my tire pressure on all 4 tires nothing came up for my left back tire which meant it was the one. I did this on the side of the road because it was the closest thing I could find to my problem and hot dang it fixed it. The light is still on because the PSI is all messed up lol but it’s not blinking and the message center is blank and the PSI shows for all 4 tires now. So thank you sir for this video. And whoever invented all this flukey crap can kiss my grits.

I couldn't believe I had to go through this crazy procedure to reset the TPMS. However, your video helped a lot and mine went just as the video did. I'd add make sure you have access to an air pump. I have my own you plug into the cig lighter hole. Also, each tire was different on how much air I had to let out. When it was done I had from 17-25 psi in each tire. I was about to give up on a couple of them when the horn finally sounded. The crazy procedure works, though. Thanks!

Anyone wondering if it works with new valve stem/sensors it won't because they are in sleep mode and needs to be programmed with a special tool for the tpms sensors to wake up once they are acknowledged then you see the air pressures on screen and if you need to reset the pressures then you can follow this process in the video to get the right readings but new sensors/valve stems or new tires make sure they have tpms sensors first before you proceed.

Hey James I believe I’m having this issue. Just replaced the tires and wheels. I found a really nice pair of great condition used ford oem wheels with brand new tires. I tried the method of letting air out but it seems to never honk. I purchased a TPMS Sensor Tool on Amazon. Do you think that will do the trick?

They aren’t terribly expensive to replace, and I’m sure they just wear out after a while. Mine is a 2014 so it’s taken 7 years for it to happen to me…and the truck was built several months before I bought it new.

I’m confused. Why not just pump up the air pressure to the proper 35 pounds and the error will go away without retraining anything. I have a 2016 Ford Edge. Never had to retrain it.

Because for me I had a sensor fault so that’s why you would need to retrain!!

@@AnthonyLGreen-cz9wy Well I certainly agree with you IF there actually was a sensor fault. But in this video at the very beginning you will see the warning light is solid and NOT flashing. Hence it is not a sensor fault. It is only a low tire pressure warning, the exact purpose of what the sensors are designed to do. All that needs to be done it pump up the tires. No retraining is required in this case.

    2017 f150 lariat 3.5 twin turbo
Tpms shows pressure for all tires except right front (which tire was just replaced). Pushed hazards 6 times, heard horn, display reads "train left front tire ", released air till horn, display reads "train right front tire" (this is the one not registering), let air out but no matter how long the horn doesn't honk, finally display says something went wrong & to start over. Tried multiple times but it keeps not working on right front tire. Any suggestions?

You may need a new sensor in that tire. It could've been damaged when they replaced your tire. They're less than $10.

Is there a way to change the actual pressure setting for the low pressure warning?

You have to hit the auto-inflate button afterwards. It's just behind the blinker fluid dipstick.
