can someone explain how the whatnot auctions work? (i have never used it)
Depends on what the seller does but it’s essentially live streaming auctions. Seller sets starting price (usually $1) and a timer. Every increasing bid resets the timer and auction ends when timer ends, highest bid wins. Just go watch a show and you’ll get it.
Theres sudden death where once the time runs out whoever was the last bidder wins, there are mystery shows, mystery wheels, and even auctions where every bid increases the time of the auction so it's fair for all. Its a very fun app I recommend it but be warned, you'll make friends and it'll be addicting. Most of the streamers raid each other regularly and people recognize you pretty quick!

I think these guys are honest and legit sellers but Whatnot's reputation is tainted from all those scammers. It's a shame bc the app had major potential to be great but whatnot let those scammers get away with to much for to long before doing anything.
