  • This is a Low Level run of SMT V: Vengeance, on the Canon of Vengeance path.
    Rules.
    • The difficult of the game most be set on Hard.
    • No Gospels
    • No Balms.
    • No Incenses.
    • No Miracles that enhance demon stats.
    • No DLC demons or essences, this also includes all the old DLC.
    First Battle - Matador
Matador's innate skill Crippling Blow, is probably the biggest factor in this battle. Basically, if he strikes a weakness or lands a crit, there's a chance for it to instakill. That being said, Angle can't be safely used, which is unfortunate. His unique healing skill would be very helpful here. But, because of that, Nahobino has to be the certified doctor in the party.
Regardless, Miracle Water is a most have for this. Matador can dish out a lot of damage to the party, so somebody has to repair it. Now, I could get Media if I wanted to, but I chose not to. Mainly because that means that I would have to gain more XP. So this is a bit more challenging then it has to be, but I'm sure you guys will enjoy that.
In terms of strategy not much has changed, but a few things do need to be noted.
First, It's going to take more then 2 Omagatoki Critical's to beat Matador. Which is why I only used one Elec Gem, the first time I use Omagatoki Critical. I only had four of them, and had to conserve them a bit. I wanted to make sure I had at least one, for when I used Omagatoki Critical for the third time.
Second, I do have Tarukaja in my party, and I did plan to use it before I Used Omagatoki Critical. But healing, and Debuffs take priority. So sometimes I'm just not able to use it. I could wait, but the potential risks are just not worth it.
Matador - Level 24 - Null Force - Resist Light, Dark, & all Ailments - Weakness ~ Elec
    • Andalucia
    • Charge
    • Mazan
    • Red Capote
    • Marakunda
    Second Battle - Jatayu
Jatayu's skill are all threating, but Critical Wave is even more so. Mainly because when it's used, it targets my entire party, and seems to crit at least one of them. Most of the time I'm able to survive it, even if it crits. But it puts me in very interesting situations.
If it wasn't obvious already, this fight also requires someone in the active party, with a healing skill that effects the entire party. And again, just like with Matador. Angle won't work here either, because of Zanma. So Nahobino, has to fill that role, again.
I kinda fought Jatayu the same way I did Matador. But, this fight does drag on for a while.
