Please, stop healing... ~ Da'at Madness part 10 | SMT V: Vengeance (Low Level)
This is a Low Level run of SMT V: Vengeance, on the Canon of Vengeance path.
Rules.
• The difficult of the game most be set on Hard.
• No Gospels
• No Balms.
• No Incenses.
• No Miracles that enhance demon stats.
• No DLC demons or essences, this also includes all the old DLC.
First Battle - Baihu
Oni + Taunt = easy win. This fight isn't difficult at all.
Baihu - Level 49 - Resist Sleep, Mirage, Poison, Charm, & Seal - Null Elec - Weakness ~ Force, & Confusion
• Damascus Claw
• Mazionga
• Fierce Roar
• Frenzied Chomp
Second Battle - Konohana Sakuya
This fight is only available after beating Konohana Sakuya's father, Oyamatsumi. Because of that, I had to approach this at level 30.
In my opinion, this fight isn't hard at all. However, because Konohana Sakuya can heal back a large amounts of health, makes this fight a very long one. MP can become a very big problem, because of that. So, Restore, and Mana Spring is very necessary for this.

Third Battle - Power
This is a mandatory encounter, and unfortunately I have no choice but to take this large amount of XP I get from this.
The main strat for this, is to build up, and go into Omagatoki Critical, like usually. However, If each wave of Angels is beat on the turn, Omagatoki Critical was used. The player will stay in Omagatoki Critical at the beginning of each wave.
But, usually the last wave of Angels is where I had my most trouble. With there being so many of them, you have to rely on a few of them to get insta-killed, and then hope the remaining Angels don't spam Critical Wave, or Diarama...
After this, I had to return to a certain point in the third area, that some other Angels were guarding previously. Upon reaching it, the main questline updated, and of course gave some XP. Which unfortunately, leveled me up to level 35.
Power - Level 42 - Resist Elec - Null Light - Weakness ~ Force, & Dark
• Fang Breaker
• Critical Wave
• White Dracostrike
• Diarama
Fourth Battle - Abscess 15
Because of Anzu Innate skill "Tablet of Destinies" he has a chance to Nullify Physical attacks. So I can't reliably use Severing Bite, or Wrath Tempest. However, his innate skill also makes him unable to evade attacks that strike weakness. So, Magic is mostly the best way to go for this fight.
Anzu - Level 45 - Resist Poison, Confusion, Charm, & Seal - Null Mirage, & Elec - Weakness ~ Force, & Sleep

Fifth Battle - Anansi
With Taunt, and Belphegor's essence on Nahobino. This fight is pretty easy. Makajamaon is really the only issue.

Sixth Battle - Onyankopon

Question. Where did you get the Magic Mirror? I don’t remember any in Shinegawa
In Shinagawa, go to the Leyline Fount called Shinagawa Station. From there, turn right and jump unto the building ramp, and run down it. Hook a hard left, then run straight, and pass all the Lilims. after that, turn right where two treasure chest are visible. One contains the Magic Mirror, while the other has Force Shards.
Question. Could you have taken the Powers at level 31 so you can have Loa raise the Instakill odds?
Of course, but I’m trying to stay as low level as possible. When I’m able to beat a boss, or mandatory encounter at my current level, then I don’t see any reason to level up!
In the process of doing my own Low Level Run, I hated the 11x Power Fight with a passion so job well done on your attempt. (I was LV31, cause I underestimated how much EXP some Abcesses would give, and the first time you give fire gems to Pyro Jack) Especially great job at doing Konohana Sakuya at LV30, my min maxing brain doesn't usually try using spells on demons with no affinity in this game lol 😅
Konohana Sakuya legit took me about a dozen tries on a standard hard mode run. She heals way to much for a boss fight. Her personal skill and trait didn't help either. She took me all the way to the end though

In your opinion, what’s the best mid game demon to run on low level? Im planning my own low level run on a CoC playthrough.
If you're on CoC, Chironnup is a great mid game demon, considering he gets Cautious Cheer (Marakukaja and Masukukaja) so early. He can just be fused or recruited with no pre-requisites (and since you can farm Boon Boost in Shinigawa he can be a great mainstay). She'll have a Phys Weakness for a while but Dis is a good option if you want another healing / support demon, and she nulls mute. If you dont mind some Optional EXP from a sidequest, Idunn is LV42, and can be a great support / healer as well. If you want a good Taunt Tank, Belphagor isn't a bad option (if you cover his fire and light weakness), but once again you need to do his boss for his fusion. *Edit:* If you want a Decent Attacker demon at Lv48, Lahmu is a special fusion that has good afinities for Ice, Dark, Force and Almighty (also Phys but his strength stat is lower than his Magic Stat).
One of them is definitely Chiro, Cautious Cheer is going to be your only team buff option for a decently long time
Now that Wrath Tempest is available to use. I thought That I would test both Severing Bite, and Wrath Tempest to see which is better. I did ten attacks with both skills, while having Nahobino's attack maxed, using Charge, Physical Pleroma, and Omagatoki Critical. My target was a level one Slime, that had his Defense rock bottom. The reason why I did this, was to see the full effect of what both skills can do. At level 35, here are my results. Do you avoid most side quests or how do you stay low level? I feel the games level curve is really well done. In my blind run i stay around the level of the bosses by just fighting story/quest battles and running away from any fight i dont recruit from.

Ah yes the Power Gang Squad fights begin. These guys have ruined Battle -Seraph for me. What was once reserved for the highest among the Angel’s ranks now plays for generic footsoldiers 😭
Vouivre is a boss I often forget exists and yet she's easily one of the most frustrating sidequest fights for this point in the game 😅 Great Job on the fights here tho.

Aogami Type-B (the essence that has it) is available near Tennozu, which means you can get it before Loup-Garou (CoC)/Eisheth (CoV). It also has Boon Boost, making that available pretty early as well.
OHHH so THAT'S how you use the mirror. I'm an idit and tried to guess which of my allies the enemy will hit instead of using it to block aoe attacks
since the original version, i dont use drain or repel skills or items. that makes switching party members and guarding more meaningfull edit: No omagatoki critical as well, that is way more powerfull than smirk in 4.Nahobino support only as well

Yuzuru is a cool fight and great addition to the story, but man his fight can be cheesed so easily. In a way I'm thankful cause I did this fight low level (This run looked fun and inspired me to do one) and Hayataro is very tough to deal with 😅. Great Job 👍.

Heavy Blow has 160 power on normal damage and 240 on critical Is a very early skill (Oni and Xuanwu) it works wonder in the early game Beatdown is another good choice, on full health has 220 power
@@theshape3872 Oh, yes. I remember getting Bicorn or Ippon Datara for the charge + beatdown really early on. I love phys demons. (I never payed much attention to Heavy Blow early on, but i guess i should give it a try next time)

@@rift3487 CoV Lahmu is also pathetically easy. But Yuzuru, once you know his pattern, is so stupid. You just need Jack Frost for Ice turns, and someone with Makarakarn (or Horus if you're overleveled) for Light turns. If Hayataro can't attack, the fight is free.

@@rift3487 If you're talking about the Shinjuku Lahmu fight with 2 phases, I honestly can't figure out why you'd have more trouble with Yuzuru. Lahmu has multiple targets to hit (and that can come back) before the main body with a unique Ailment that robs turn economy in Phase 1, and drasticly increased offense and crowd control with a whole new set of affinities in Phase 2. I don't think one would have trouble with Yuzuru unless they can't output enough damage to bypass Witness Me.

No, they both can't activate from a single attack. It's either one or the other.
Man, I should've used Nozuchi more. I just saw him as worse Oni. I think actually struggled with this fight in vengeance. I think I used Nahobina as a taunter. If not, I definatly used taunted Nahobino to win a fight at some point. And this was without the 100% dodge skill I can't spell.

I myself just used Phys Dampeners on Axel Claw turns. Phys Dampeners don't come up much after Eisheth, and by then you have Phys Block
