Grandfather airforce, uncle coast guard, cousin army, and I did the stupidest thing with a marine. Accurate my guy. Accurate. However, the cruelest joke to play on my very uptight grandfather was messing up his perfectly folded socks, shirts etc. He would get BIG MAD.

I went from USAFE, 8 major exercises a year, (we manned the perimeter) to SAC. We had one exercise while I was there, and my job was opening and closing a hanger door.
I would just sleep, why would I waste time playing card games when the entire platoon has to go god knows where for how long? That’s probably why I was not ever that fatigued doing movements or pulling security, makes it much more tolerable.
