Man I love the geology videos
I'm glad to hear that! :)
As always, a new, refreshing video with ideas I would've never thought of by myself. Cheers, Jedi!
Thanks so much! :)
Oh my god I’ve been wanting this exact type of video for so long. I spend so much time looking at rocks in this game
I have a whole series of these!! :D I'm glad you enjoyed it.
AZURE PLATE SUPREMACY!
Jokes aside, not only is this really educational and fun, but it scratches that itch I've had of contextualizing the Azuremyst isles into the greater Azeroth world since TBC. Both draenei and blood elf starter zones suffered from being made in a different worldspace than the rest of the vanilla world, so it was always hard to involve them more intricately, but I just always wanted to see stuff like new Draenei architecture being built there, or night elves and draenei mixing (I know there are some refugees but eh) or sailors using it as a port of call, etc.
Great comment, thank you! :) The one great example I can think of is Forest Song with the draenei and night elves teaming up to make a new base in Ashenvale... but there should def be more!
Azuremyst has been on my mind lately and then this video pops up, amazing!
Perfect timing! :D
I am always so happy to see a notification for your videos
That makes me happy to hear! :)
I've been leveling up many a Draenei, but I've never put too much thought into the geology of the starting area. Far from being an expert, it fascinates me and some mechanisms (as the forming of mountain chains) shouldn't have slipped!
A thought I have, always, while watching your WoW Rocks! episodes is whether the designers of this world had these grand plan in mind all along, or if it was just a design/detail choice because it was "cool" (or just useful, to keep people in or out).
The more I watch your videos, the more I grow convinced that's the first of the two, which makes the world all the more fascinating.
Thank you as usual Jedi!
Thank you for the comment! It's so fun to discover things that may have just been a part of a grand plan all along! :D
Nice, those islands really fascinated me as a kid and i loved to learn the plot and exploring this region with my shaman. The lore is so nice and the video is great! :)
Thanks so much! It's one of my favorite chill zones for sure :)
I never thought so much about rocks. 10/10
Thanks man! :)
Can you make a video about all Race capitals ? The origin , the design, and secrets, unique NPCs
That would make for a fun video! Perhaps in the future ;)
Cool video!
Thank you! :)
Love this new direction youre taking! So good
Thanks! If you like the Geo vids you should check out the other episodes I have made for other zones! ;)
I wouldn't mind seeing a Tectonic Plate tier set.
That would look super cool! ;)
Yes master i am still waiting for new videos everyday👍
Every Friday! :D
Hi Jedi!
I wonder if Ammen Vale is the first sign of a plate collision between northern Kalimdor and whatever (mostly) oceanic plate the Azuremyst Isles sit on. Ammen Vale could be the first bit of new land from this merger since the Sundering.
Definitely a possibility! That would be very cool... you can also see how the wildlife/flora would have spread from the original landmass to the new "island" as well :)
