Thanks for the helpful video. Matcha is amazing. (What's not to love about a tea that you prepare like NesQuick lol!) I was actually thinking of picking up that exact Jade Leaf chawan shown in video! May I ask if you have experience using a battery powered hand frother with it? (I've been using a glass measuring cup up to now, but it lacks elegance, so I was hoping that Jade Leaf chawan will work equally well with a hand frother as it does with a bamboo chasen.) I appreciate any expertise you may have!

hi! unfort - i have not used a hand frother to make matcha or with the chawan so i'm afraid i can't offer any tips on that :-(

@@chaewonrach No worries. Thanks for getting in touch! I've read some discussions that milk frothers have a tough time in the traditional wider chawans. I ran across Rishi's "Everyday Matcha Bowl" which is not as wide as the traditional ones, which might be easier to use a milk frother with. Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

I was thinking of purchasing the powder from matcha stand maruni online. do you recommend? how is it compared to rocky's or the other brands you like? does it hold up?

highly reco matcha stand maruni's matcha!
it's a great balance of bitter, sweet + umami taste - i haven't tried it as a tea but it's amazing as a latte
it's been a while since i've had rocky's matcha but i prefer msm matcha over rocky's

I just knew you make matcha often when I saw you pouring more milk on the remaining matcha so you won't waste the rest
