- New rudder being released soon! Myself and the rest of the team have been testing this rudder for about a month now and all we can say is this is a new must have upgrade! The improvement has been incredibly noticeable and now I will never be able to not have this rudder haha. Its a big improvement over the stock rudder, Navarres rudder and even better than the MK/Autopilot rudder.
The best part is that its basically designed for a stern mount motor. If you have an NK180 or a torqeedo and are rudder steering you know how much it sucks, well not anymore. I can confirm that this rudder gives you back a lot of control. Ill be uploading some videos showing me manoeuvring with it soon also!
Will be releasing on www.pacificyakangler.com
I definitely need this for my PDL 120 !!!
@@YAKINGWITHDREW you definitely do. It's so good
Very interesting... u have my attention

Looks cool! I was looking at the MK rudder for my 120 PDL a few days ago. Let me know what the code is please . TIA. Tight Lines
@GilbertMartinez-l1u honestly this rudder will be released very soon and is worth the extra like 2 or 3 week wait. The code is KODY15 for 15% off on the website
Thanks for this video! Could you share the discount code with me?
Did you try the Navarre aluminum rudder? I just installed it yesterday hoping it will improve my 120 with 180 Pro.
@saltyguerrilla I used Navarres rudder for 1 year and upgraded for this one. It's not even close to how much better this one is... Maybe that's not what you wanted to hear since you just bought it, but it's the honest truth. Steering always sucked with my rudder and NK but now it's actually really good. Going slow or fast.
I have a question for the motor trim that being set all the way in the water, is that the best for performance. What speed are you getting?
@Flippencz I have messed around with it a bit but can't say 100% it's the best this way, but the little I did mess around with, I was getting the least cavitation and better speeds. My kayak is pretty fully equipped and I'm getting 8kmh on 100% so 5mph. I rarely ever run 100% though, usually 80% and I'm getting 6.5kmh
@@silentjoutdoors Thank you 🙏 😎🤙
@@Flippencz no problems, but I definitely suggest starting with the lowest to second lowest and go from there. I tried the higher options and tons of cavitation and low speed.
How heavy is it?
@kevinkornman not very heavy, only slightly heavier than the Navarre rudder but wayyy lighter than the boonedox one
@@silentjoutdoors I tried the boonedox one last year and, after the struggles running the cord through and saw how flimsy the spool that attaches to the cord inside the kayak is l realized it was to heavy so l switched back to the old one which l did modify with adding some kydex to make it wider and just doing that helped a lot.
@kevinkornman ya that probably would have helped! But this one so far has been great. Not much extra weight and the handling has been the best I've ever had from my kayak
